We were passing between museums and this popped up on our maps with decent reviews and was super easy to get to. We love Lebanese food as one of our best friends is from Lebanon and opened our eyes. It was sketchy walking in, it looked closed and the parking lot was empty other than 2 other cars. But, upon opening the door and making our way to the dining area it was much better. Clearly this used to be a BIG operation back in the day, but now looks like it is mostly for take out or quick meals. The dining area and kitchen were all bright and clean. The man behind the counter was very friendly and was happy to sell us a couple of falafel on the side. He custom makes each wrap and plate for the guest which is great. You can see the meat on the spits as well as all of the fresh veg and sauces. He takes his time to build it just right for us which was really nice. Good menu options, I would have liked to try more. We really enjoyed our mixed wrap. He was kind enough to put the hot sauce on one half and not the other. Both were great. The falafel was quite dry, and the sauce didn't really help much. Good flavor. Overall it is a solid option, I'd get it again in a pinch, but the meats and falafel were quite dry. Service was great, everything was fresh and it was a great stop for us. read more

My dad loves shawarma. So on the way to my parents' house one day I stopped by Lebanese Palace and picked up a Mixed Shawarma Platter for my dad. The mixed shawarma platter ($15.99) comes with beef and chicken shawarma, potatoes, rice (they have white rice with vermicelli and brown rice and I got half and half), pickles, pickled turnips, garlic sauce, hummus, a salad and a pita. I asked for the salad dressing on the side. The meat was good, but the beef was less lean than I like. The white rice with vermicelli was soft and fluffy, but the brown rice was a bit harder. The hummus was thick and smooth and the garlic sauce was rich and creamy. The salad had red peppers, tomatoes, romaine lettuce, red cabbage and onions. No pita chips. Vegetables were fresh. I liked the creamy pink salad dressing. The pita was ok. It was wrapped in paper like a big candy or one of those Christmas crackers/holiday poppers. Service was neutral. They have a fairly large dining area inside and some seats outside as well. Lots of free parking in their own private parking lot. read more

First time ever having Lebanese food and the experience was really good! The ambience was really casual and the guy making the food was really nice and funny! There was 1 guy making food - 1 guy checking customers out - and a lady doing some extra cooking. The line was kinda long when we first entered, but they really moved the line quickly! I was semi- impressed. I got the chicken wrap with fries and a drink (Trio Combo). All in all, I'm not coming back to this area, however, going forward in the future I will definitely try Lebanese food again. read more

We always come here after a morning spent in the science and technology museum, just across the street. Amazing food, flavorful and delicious. Everything was cooked nicely, not greasy or salty. My kid has an egg allergy and he had no problem eating everything besides the garlic sauce. The owners were very nice to my kids as well. Will return in the future! read more

came in for a take out shw chicken plater, there was practically no chicken with a mound of rice, asked to have more chicken the server said he would have to charge extra chicken, got home to eat it it did not fill a pita with the veggies... the rice had hard crunchy bits in it, the quality of the lettuce-tomatoes-onions were wilted and the garlic sauce was bland. Felt ripped off and staff is oblivious. will not go there again !!! Will stick to Schwarma palace and they give you 2 pita automatilly instead of one and they will give yo another if you ask them. Bye bye old run down taco bell and hello beautiful, and most welcomed Lebanese Palace, that took over this spot. I was a little sceptical having another mid eastern restaurant, with the traditional falafel, shawarma and garlic sauce open up as we have so many in a small radius, but they nailed it! Did not get the pleasure to dine in, as they have a beautiful sit down restaurant to the left when walking in (with servers and all), but did get a couple of things for take out. -small falafel sandwich -falafel platter; which comes with a garden salad, pita, lots of garlic sauce and hummus, and lastly roasted potatoes and rice. For just under $20.00, it was money well spent. Their home made falafel recipe is one of the best that I have tried. Tasty and light, not loaded with heavy spices and salt. Their garden salad is not what I am used to in the usual Ottawa mid east joints. No fried pita chips, just a clean chopped lettuce salad, topped with carrots and radishes & of course tons of pickles on the side!!! They did not use a vinaigrette, but it was more like a tahini dressing, so there was no tangy-ness to the salad. I am so excited for this new restaurant. As long as they maintain their quality and freshness, this could very well be one of the best in Ottawa, or at least east Ottawa. P.s. they really need a website! I feel a little bad giving this place only three stars. The meshwi and shish taouk/kebab are authentic, served with plentiful accompaniments, including labneh, hummus, various pickles and rice. The kibbeh balls were a little heavy, but not overly fried. The problem came with the lamb which my mother ordered. The server did not understand her when she said medium-rare. After clarifying, the lamb came out super well done. And when my mother complained, the second time it came out raw. Since we were not charged for the lamb, I am somewhat mollified. But lamb chops are a basic dish which any Lebanese restaurant should do well. My review is mixed; the restaurant probably does better at its buffet than with menu service. I would go again, but I would steer everyone to the shish, not the lamb. read more

I've had the chance to visit this place for the lunch buffet and I have to say this restaurant is quite awesome ! The buffet is well laid out and contains a wide selection of both vegetables and meat items . Lots of authentic Lebanese food and very well put together. Super yummy falafel and incredible baba ghanoush and mama ghanoush the latest quite spicy . Overall I really enjoyed the lunch buffet experience and considering the reasonable pricing it's probably the best Lebanese restaurant in this side of town. Highly recommended. read more

For now, I'm giving them a 3-star rating. (I'd give them 3.5 if I could.) This is a good sized restaurant in two parts. My review at this point is *only* for the fast food side of the business. We went in there later in the evening on a snowy cold night. The Shawarma was a little dry - however, to be fair to the restaurant, it was a slow night, so I wasn't surprise. The rice accompaniment had an unusual spice in it. I couldn't decide if I did or did not like it. Jury is out on the rice. Everything else was what one would expect for a Shawarma plate and good quality. We asked to see the menu for the sit-down side of the place. The person who helped us was great - very friendly, encouraged us to look at the buffet in addition to the menu. I'd love to go back to try the buffet and/or order of the menu. I did notice that they have a sort of covered porch on the back, which looked interesting. Despite the cold many people were seated out there and seemed to be enjoying the space. Would I recommend: It's worth trying - but pick a better night than we did to go there. :-) Would I return: Yes, I want to try it again. Lebanese Palace is an interesting little spot at the corner of St Laurent and Industrial where the old Taco Bell used to be. Let's just say that they've expanded the old building considerably and divided it into a quick food place on one side, and an Arabic night club/ sheesha lounge on the other side. Every weekend features various types of Arabic music during the evening. I was there on a Friday and managed to see a live violinist playing early on. Later on at night they bring out a belly dancer to perform live, and after that there is various types of Arabic music being played by a DJ.. The selection is more varied than the other Mid East clubs as they play more than just Lebanese music. I heard some Algerian stuff and actually some non-Arab music such as salsa and bhangra here and there. Food in the evening at the nightclub side is a Lebanese buffet that costs a bit over 20 bucks and is all you can eat. It has a wide variety and plenty of vegetarian choices available as well. Drinks cost extra and will be added to your bill, as is sheesha if you want to smoke a water pipe while it's still allowed in Ottawa. I managed to have all of these that night, and I judged them to be quite good. The service there is excellent, but I may be a little biased because the wonderful lady there has the same name as me :) The place is super clean, wonderfully decorated, and the bathrooms are spacious, well-maintained and stocked. The ambiance is simply excellent and everyone there is friendly and courteous and hospitable. I recommend this place to anyone, but most especially for weekend nights! read more

My new favorite restaurant. The staff is very friendly. Our waitress was great. We also had a chat with the owner, who gave us a little tour of the buffet. The food was delicious (I had the buffet, my boyfriend had a kebab, and we shared a dessert). There are lots of vegetarian options in the buffet. We also had a basket of fresh bread on our table. They had live entertainment (a violinist), which was great. The owner mentioned having special events often on the weekends (the violinist, a band, belly dancers, etc). The restaurant has two sides: the fancier one, and a more typical shawarma "fast-food" one. I will definitely be trying out their shawarma in the future. read more

This place should be packed with customers every night. The take out is busy but the beautiful and clean dining room was empty. Lovely setting, incredibly good food and lots of it, fine service. Hate to do this but this place went downhill fast. Last year it was best shawarma place. This rating purely on fast food section. I know owner too which was sad. They serving plates in a small cutting board now. Had mix plate and drink for 19$, where was the meat???? Lol. I keep seeing people with sandwichs packed with my meat paying 10$ or whatever for trio. Had honestly 4 pieces of each that's it. I'd give a one but taste of food was good. I'm here needing to go grab more food somewhere else cause got scammed with nothing. I have driven past here many a time and finally went in for lunch. They have a sit-down area and a "fast food" area and the latter is where we went. Ordering was efficient and we quickly had a chicken shwarma plate, which came with a side salad and pita, to share. While not the best shwarma I have ever had, it was certainly good and two of us polished it off for lunch. read more

Went for the lunch buffet today. You have a choice between the vegetarian cold buffet ($14.99) or the vegetarian buffet plus meat($14.99 + $4 or $5 for the meat). We ordered the buffet plus chicken. It came out just like it would if you got shawarma to-go (white rice, potatoes, garlic, pickles and turnips) but on a wooden cutting board (super cool touch). Note that there are two parts. One is a shawarma joint. The other one is a restaurant serving buffet (and that has entertainment on the week ends) and shisha. It is alcohol licenced. The deep fried fish was a bit dry, the beef and chicken kabob dinners were tasty but lacked authentic middle eastern flavour. We went around 7:30 pm on Saturday to Lebanese Palace. We were two couples and we sat outside in the covered patio. It is setup nice. Food is ok (Not great). Shisha is good. Service was alright. We left right when the music started around 10:30. The music was extremely loud. We were not able to hear each other even though the music was inside. That said! I give the Lebanese Palace five stars in scamming customers We do not mind paying for good food and nice place to sit but not being cheated. First Scam: We ordered off the menu two Shish Kebab Plates ($20/plate). Server gave us the choice of salad (fattoush or tabbouleh) and rice or fries. So you automatically assume that the plate include some type of salad and either fries or rice. So I order the normal salad and fries and my wife order tabbouleh and rice. However, we were charged $2 extra each on our bill. They claimed that they do not include salad in plate. So we were not sure why the server would give us the choice of salad and fries or rice without mentioning the extra charges. The same thing had happen to our friend couples that were with us. The only difference was that they ordered chicken kebab plate instead of the shish kebab plate. Second Scam: We order two soft drinks with our food. After that, we order one tea and fruit cocktail. However on the bill, we were charged two teas. Same things happened to our friend couples. They ordered 2 soft drinks with their food and a tea and fruit cocktail after. They were also charged for an extra tea. Third scam: We were charged a cover charge of $10 each. Restaurant host did not mention anything about a $10 cover charge when he sat us. We have been to this place once before on weekend to smoke shisha and have drinks but no food and we were not charged $10 cover charge each. The server fixed the drink issue and it could have been honest mistake on his end but regarding the other extra charges it is obvious that they are scammer. read more

Terrible service. Went there with some friends. After our meal we ordered tea, and waited at least and hour or so only to find out the waiter forgot about it, and then he finished it in less than 2 minutes. Also messed up what we ordered and almost charged us 60$ extra. Food was average at best, if somehow you still are thinking about going there, do NOT get the buffet. read more
