I really wanted to give this place 4 stars but have some grievances. I was told over the phone that the buffet was all you can eat. That was what I passed on to my guests. Turns out, only the appetizers are AYCE. This was embarrassing to find out at the dinner table. Fortunately, my guests were already full with the appetizers so I lucked out this time. The teenagers, however, were still hungry and they scoured the table for any leftovers.
Some of the appetizers were okay, some were great. The main dish was delicious but rationed out too little. One plate of meat per 5 people. There was 1 chicken kebab, 1 beef kebab, and 2 meatball kebabs. Now how is that enough for 5 people? More like 2-3 people if you ask me. Also there were no sides with the meat like rice or salad or veggies. So they plunk down a plate of meat and expect you to eat it like that? I guess the pita bread is the side but that is too bland. I suppose you can ask for more appetizers as sides but then that gets awkward as you wait for them to arrive after the fact.
Another peculiarity, there was no desert with the buffet! Again we lucked out because we had lots of birthday cake to go around. Otherwise the meal would have been left incomplete. There was some complimentary Turkish coffee though which hit the spot.
The music was great and the belly dancer was beautiful. All in all we had a super time, particularly on the dance floor. The restaurant was clean, spacious and well decorated.
Just make sure to fill yourself up with appetizers or you may be left hungry after the main course. Make sure more appetizers arrive with the main course as side dishes.
I feel this restaurant needs to rethink the presentation and balance of the dinner structure to take it to the next level. But knowing all this in advance should ensure you have a great time if you choose to come here. read more
