The moment we entered we were greeted warmly and they answered all the questions we had! I got combo 1: a small chicken sandwich and because I was debating between rice or potatoes, he was kind enough to give me half of both! And it comes with a canned drink. Wow they are not shy with the servings, they loaded that upppp and sauced that omg. The chicken was a bit dry but with all the sauces, the white garlic one is amazing omg- I've never had such good rice and garlic potatoes. Amazing flavor and texture! I also got a side of falafel- this IS A MUST! Most places use too much flour/ batter but this was so grainy in the best way- it was so so so good and flavorful. I'm going to be thinking about their falafels until I come back to Canada. Truly a must! My friends got the beef platter and they loaded it up- so good and such large servings. First few bites were awesome,then i got bored of it. Portions are the biggest i have ever seen in a shawarma sandwich,but sometimes quantity isn't quality. Bite after bites was meats and thats it. The sauce were mostly on the first few bites. Would have been better a bit more spread out sauce.and maybe some more garnishes of onions and maybe potatoes. read more

Excellent quality and portion! We ordered the family plate $45.99+tax and it was very filling. As 4 adults, we only managed to finish ~60% and had to save the leftovers. It came with a bag of naan bread (6 pieces) and two trays. One tray had rice on the bottom, 1/3 with garlic potatoes and 2/3 covered with meat. The other tray had lettuce and tomatoes with light salad dressing, pickles, and garlic sour cream and hummus in separate containers. I think the garlic sour cream and hummus are made in-house since they were very fresh. However, I've had better garlic potatoes - I personally think 3 brothers has the best garlic potatoes. read more

I was very satisfied and so were my guests with the surprise from your standard party meal ideas. I recommend you try it! The staff were super friendly and were awesome with some minor customization of the platter choices. The order was fast and the food was fresh! This is one of the better schwarma places in Ottawa. The meat is tender, the ingredients are fresh and the wrap is soft. Most of all you get a warm shwarma. $13.xx will get you a large schwarma, a side (salad, garlic potatoes) and a canned drink. This is more food then one can reasonably eat in one sitting. I finished it but let's just say I had a slow afternoon. You can opt for just a small shwarma which would make a nice lunch and cost less. If you're in kanata and in the mood for shwarma, definitely go here. read more

Ok I love Shawarma, and I'm fanatical about quality so it's not too often that I'm impressed with it, but Shawarma Prince on Hazeldean takes the cake and the kitchen too. To start, the two gentlemen working there, I don't know if they are the owners, but I've never met anyone else there, are the kindest, sweetest people ever, couple that with fresh, quality made food with Arabic authenticity. +3 stars The food is fantastic, the flavors are wonderful, and servings are generous+2 stars! I've had just about everything and it's fantastic every time. We often get a family platter which is a ton food, the kids love it and there's always leftovers. This shwarama location is one of the better ones in Ottawa but not my favorite. I have eaten here a few times and stop by when I am in the area and am craving a shwarama. The meat tastes fine and the vegetables are OK. Overall there is nothing wrong with the food, but it is just doesn't stand out compared to other shwarama locations in Ottawa. read more

My wife and I have tried a number of Shawarma places in Ottawa (including the one just down the road near Lowes) and this place is our favorite. I have also been fortunate enough to travel for work to the Middle East and try very good shawarma in Turkey, Qatar, Kuwait, Dubai and Abu Dhabi and I must say that this particular location is on par in terms of taste and food quality. Chicken is almost never dry, veggies are fresh, tabouleh and fatoush salads are well made, hummus and both garlic and spicy garlic sauces are awesome. Very disappointed in our experience, we asked for 3 platters and instead because the place was closing they insisted we take more because it wouldn't be enough to feed our group. We said we didnt want it and they said to take it as they were closing. In the end we got scammed because they charged us for a lot more than we needed. We paid $89 for all the food when we would have been fine with what we asked for and only paid $50-$60. We will not be returning there as they scammed us and left us feeling very frustrated. read more

Decent shawarma. I ordered the mixed shawarma sandwich with everything on it and was given the standard garlic sauce, which was really tasty, but wasn't offered hot sauce or tahini, so I'm not sure if they have it. The beef was great and the veggies were fresh, however the chicken was a little dry. The restaurant itself is larger than it appears from the outside, with a second back room with additional tables. I wouldn't imagine a casual shawarma take-out would get busy enough to warrant the amount of tables they have, but in any case you never have to worry about getting a seat!! read more

I've had the chicken shawarma and garlic potatoes from here a few times and it was usually OK, but nothing special. However, the last time I was there, I really wasn't impressed. The staff member saw me come in but took their time getting to me. The lettuce was kinda yellow and brownish; I had to ask them to bring out fresh lettuce. The potatoes I ordered were really disappointing; hard, dried out, barely even room temperature and hardly any taste. Granted, I was there about an hour before closing time, but the food tasted like it had been sitting for hours, so it hadn't been fresh for quite some time before I even showed up. If they're not willing to serve fresh food all day then they should close earlier. To top it all off, the gloves they were wearing looked well used and dirty, and they didn't bother putting on fresh ones. After handing me my order, they touched the cash register without taking off their gloves, took my money and gave me change from the till, and then proceeded to serve the next couple of customers with the same gloves! At that point, I lost my appetite. Money is dirty so I was quite disgusted, and it made me wonder exactly how much money those gloves came into contact with that day, or other dirty surfaces for that matter. It seriously made me question whether this place would even pass a health inspection. I haven't been there since and won't be going there ever again. read more

This shawarma place is ok. I do find it quite pricey as it costs over $13 for a platter. However, they do give you a lot of food. But I've had better garlic sauce than this place and I find their garlic potatoes very salty. I feel like they used to be better few years back, food was more fresh and better tasting than now. Simply the best shawarma I've had. We ordered the family platter and it easily fed 8 of us (4 kids / 4 adults - get extra pita for more than 5 people). Everyone was very happy with the meal and raving about how delicious it was. All prepared right in front of you from fresh ingredients. We had beef and chicken shawarma. Both excellent. Falafel for our vegetarian was also amazing. Sesame sauce is fantastic as are the garlic sauce and hummus. The service was efficient and very friendly (thanks Zac/Zak??). Such a great spot. We can't wait to go back. I highly recommend the family shawarma platter for a family meal for 4-6 people. Get extra pita because you will have extra for the next day's lunch. It's so good.
