I wish I could give 0 stars...I met with Scott Weaver at my condo to get a price to repaint the entire unit. Scott seemed like a good guy, we bs'd for a minute or two as he told me that he's done a handful of these exact units and would get me a great price, his guys would fly through it the following week. Scott told me he'd follow up the next day with a price. After not hearing back, I text him 2 days later, he immediately responded with a price, $200 lower than my closest bid, I then confirmed with him and scheduled the work the following week. We text back and forth a few times that day and he was very responsive. I immediately scheduled my flooring to be installed and my cleaners to follow up right after. I bought the paint that weekend, dropped it off at the condo, Tuesday, I dropped off my key at his office so they may begin. Here's where everything went downhill.... 3 hours later I received an email from his office with requesting a 50% deposit and stating the price was a "per floor" price... on a condo, a single unit. I called back to give them my credit card for the deposit, no problem, figured Scott must have forgotten to mention it. I also mentioned that they made a mistake on the quote, and the price was not a per floor price, Scott quoted me that for the entire unit. I emailed the office my text correspondence from Scott and I as well, so they wouldn't think I was trying to pull a fast one on them. I then received an email from their office stating that the price was a PER FLOOR price, no additional info, just $xxxx.xx was a per floor price, nothing else... as if I was completely in the wrong. I text Scott, citing our interaction and the fact that he seemed like a stand up guy and hoped he'd at least acknowledge that he made a mistake and apologize... nothing... not even a response. I've painted a handful of houses, 20 or so condo's and thousands of 2 story apartments. Never once have I been given a price per floor... hell, what about the stairway leading up the 2nd floor, is that extra? Mistakes happen, I understand that, but own up to them. Either make it right and honor your word, especially if it's in writing, or own up to the mistake and simply apologize and come to a resolution. Failure to respond and treating a customer like they're completely in the wrong is poor business and reflects on the character of the organization. Not only am I scrambling to reschedule with a respectable painter, I'm rescheduling my other contractors to get their work done. Unfortunately I may lose my renters as well, due to the poor character and business practices of Scott Weaver and Leave It To Weaver. read more

Reframed a large kitchen window that required extending the roof line, large custom sliding window, drywall, etc. Besides challenges obtaining the custom window due to COVID production delays, the entire project went very smoothly and quick (3 days start to finish). Very impressed with the lead carpenter, Matt, who was very communicative on the design and next steps during the process. The owner Scot, checked in with me daily. read more

In August 2019, I signed a contract with Leave it to Weaver Construction. We agreed on a patio and roofing extension project. However, it is now August 3rd 2020 and the project is still not complete, damage has been done to my home and I am dissatisfied by his work. I have text messages from April 2020, whereby Scot explains the project will aim to wrap up by the end of the month. Due to his unprofessional nature, lack of communication and utter disregard to rectify the situation he has left me with no choice but to contact the BBB so others are not victim to this company and Scot Weaver. I have a list of items that have been damaged in the process of Scot Weaver's construction job on my home: damage to my concrete, damage to my glass screen door, damage to ceiling drywall and roof. I will explain these damages in order. First, the blueprints that were approved by the city and issued a permit was to have 6 pillars and 6 piers. Two of the pillars are a quarter inch too short of reaching the roof its supposed to "support" and thus does not support the joist at all. When questioned, Scot Weaver claimed these pillars were not needed and this was only "cosmetic". If these pillars were only cosmetic and provide no support, why would my concrete patio need to be busted up with a sledgehammer and two piers poured? My concrete patio was cracked (18 inch crack) because a concrete saw was not properly used to cut through concrete so a sledge hammer was used that cracked the concrete. The blueprints approved by the city never indicated that these pillars would be merely "cosmetic". Secondly, my glass screen door has been damaged due to Scot Weaver's worker dropping a board with nails against it. The nails have left 3 deep scratches in my glass door. Lastly, I have a water leak in the ceiling of the roof installed by Weaver. I have attempted to get this fixed several times by Weaver to no avail. On July 25 2020, Scot was told about the leak via text (with photos). I have most his exchanges with me via text in an effort to capture his word. He sent over a person who over applied silicone caulk to the roof, around the chimney and J channel siding. The ceiling continues to leak, so again I texted Scot. On Saturday August 1st 2020, I was told by Scot, "I just texted the roofing company that did the job" "Roofer said he'll be out there in the next couple hours." Three hours later, two males arrived; again their "solution" was to add even more caulk to the already overly caulked area; making the mess on my roof even worse and still not providing a fix to the leaking problem. I then was left with no choice, but to get on the roof and see for myself. While on the roof, I pointed out to the "roofer" that the shingles on the peak are upside down and the metal-water-flashing around the chimney was cut too short during installation. I asked the two guys the name of the roofing company they work for and they said they didn't know. I eventually asked them again the name of their roofing company and they told me they work for Scot Weaver and not a roofing company. I then tried to call and text Scot several times about the issues and got no response. Prior to the alleged "roofers" leaving, they tore off a section of shingle to color match my roof. The two guys returned with a bundle of shingles and got on the roof, again. I then went back up on the roof to see that they are about to replace the shingles with a very different color shingle than what is currently on my roof. I tell the guys to stop and call or text Scot. After no response from Scot, they leave and said they would be back Monday (Aug 3rd 2020). I continue to call and text Scot several times; approximately over 140 text messages. Yet I still have not received a response. In conclusion, the he roof still leaks, the drywall will need to be repaired or replaced due to the water damage, my glass door still has nail scratches embedded in it and these "cosmetic" pillars are still 1/4 inch too short. In previous correspondences with Scot, when questioned about the delay in work and when the approximate completion would be he would give multiple reasons like the the weather, the client (me), and COVID-19 the list goes on and on. But the facts remain, Scot has not completed the project professionally, timely and correctly. I do not want others to fall victim to he and his company's careless and downright improper, unsafe construction. I am bothered by the fact that he has will say "it's funny" the client (me) doesn't recall certain aspects of our exchanges; on the contrary, I recall everything that was discussed and have text/ picture evidence of what has been discussed. There is nothing "funny" about this situation- this is serious and concerning that Scot Weaver is somehow able to take on new construction projects, fool future clients with his promised services yet cannot even properly and correctly manage the projects he currently has in progress. read more
