Very sloppy installation. Didn't complete the job. I had to call them back two times to finish. The first time it rained after installation the water overflowed the gutter. I have called them out four times to fix the overflow. Each time they claimed it was fixed but it wasn't. The last time I called I was told the first available appointment was a month out. I waited, but they were a no show for that appointment. I called and they apologized and said they would make me a priority, but I had to wait another month for someone to come out. The man showed up today. He took a look and said our filters were dirty. He said the debris from the composition shingles and the dropping from the trees collect on top of the filter and won't let the water through. I said, I thought the whole reason for the Leaf Filter was to stop the debris from collecting in the gutter! He said "yes, it keeps it from going INTO the gutter, but still has to be cleaned off the top of the filter." I said, "Why did I pay thousands of dollars for a system that I still have to climb up and clean?" He said, "You don't have to, that is what I do for you." I said, "But it takes you two months to get you here!" Save your money, don't buy Leaf Filter! read more

Their customer service sucks! I have called in to their central phone line no less than 7 times, requesting a call back from the installer, sales representative, or manager. The phone representative states they only communicate with the local office by email, and noted that emails have been already sent requesting my call back. No one has ever returned my call. Furthermore, the phone representative stated she could not give me the names of any of these people, nor could she route me to her supervisor, or give me her supervisor's name. This company seems to be hiding something. They have very poor communication; they are only fast at taking my money. read more

They had a very good salesperson and I fell for it all. I was in sales for over 40 years and was impressed by the back up material the salesperson representated to me. She got on the phone and set up the appointment for me but they did not show up. Some poor office girl had to keep promising me they would call beck. I ccould see by my caller id that they did call a few times but never left a message and this went back and forth for a number of times until I gave up. I am sure glad I didn't give them any money. We paid a ton of money to Leaf Filter Gutter Protection with lifetime gutter cleaning service of Wilsonville. Just after 5 mos we needed to have the gutter cleaned. I've made 2 appts. so far and each time they were a no show without even letting me know. Each appt set me back 3 weeks! In the meantime, we're having damage to the house's foundation due to water damage. Lastly, each time I contacted the national office, they refused to let me talk to management to discuss this matter; each time referring me back to the Wilsonville office...all to no avail. Three weeks ago I made an appointment to have my gutter protection checked as I was having an overflow after the first heavy rain. The appointment was set for today, October 15 between noon and 4 PM. I called earlier in the day to the service department to confirm my appointment. It was confirmed. At 4:20 I called the service department again and was told that my appointment had been rescheduled to next week. I did not receive any notification that my appointment had been changed. I left several messages at the local office and finally, their scheduler called me. She said that she had emailed me that my appointment had been rescheduled. I have nothing in my mailbox or SPAM folder to confirm this. I checked while I had her on the phone. Needless to say, I was furious with her. "I'm new on the job, and you're the ninth person who has yelled at me." I probably won't be the last. She hung up on me and when I called her back she wouldn't answer the phone. Customer service and courtesy if even with an irate customer was not exhibited. I called the main service department again, the agent there was going to try and get a hold of her. She makes the appointments. I don't want to hear that she only has two technicians. The appointment should have been honored and I should have received service. I will see what Monday brings. I doubt it will bring anything. I am angry, disappointed, and furious. I hope someone from the company reads this review. If they don't, I hope I have saved someone from doing business with this company. read more

Saw them at the NW Home & Living Show and the "sales" guy they had was, well....the least customer service oriented human being I have ever encountered. Not only was he rude, but he kept yelling at people and telling them the water was toilet water or from the outside restroom. With several gutter vendors at the event and in the area I would definitely go somewhere else or install myself so I didn't have to ever deal with this gentleman or company who obviously stands behind behaviors like that. Rude, unprofessional and had no knowledge base. Sad. read more

A minus one Star would be a more accurate rating. A very nice person came to my house to estimate the LeafFilter installation. After dropping the price from $9,000 to $3,169, I agreed and signed the contract. The estimator said he could schedule the installation for the next day. Next day came and went and no one showed up. I left messages for someone to call me back including the estimator, customer service and the owner of the business in Wilsonville. Ten days later, the owner called me. He said they could not do the job because my gutters had a 4 inch fascia board and LeafFilter would not fit. I told him my big concern was that I had signed a contract that stated in the fine print: if the homeowner cancels this contract after 3 days from date of acceptance and before commencement of work, the homeowner agrees to pay 25% of the contract price............" Because I was worried they would come after me, he agreed to send me an email "canceling the contract". Five days later, I have still not received the cancellation email. I don't know what kind of work they do or the quality of the product but I do know they are lacking in customer relations and communication. read more

The installation broke piece of tile off our roof which left gaps showing daylight between gutter and roof all around the house. When we complained, the sales rep, Brandon Roberson asked for pics. I sent them and got ignored. Called him and he basically said not his problem. I emailed again and he said I was threatening him. Meanwhile, we got billed the full $3122 with no response to our issues. Stay away from them. read more

If I could give a lower rating I would. We had the Leaf filter installed in November 2018. It did not work from the beginning. It got clogged and the Leaf Filter service team came out at least 6 times to unclog the filters. After several months we asked for a refund and for the Leaf Filters to be removed. As of today, July 8, 2019 they have not been removed and we have not received our refund. We have been calling and we get the service and sales people, but they never return our calls when they said they would even after we called corporate headquarters. We are going to pursue legal action to get our refund as their 100% guarantee promises. read more

I didn't get the product and I never received a bill from them. So if you cancel within the time frame they give you, you do not get charged. That, I like, because I change my mind sometimes. But I need to mention, their product is VERY expensive and I am looking at other alternatives that are way cheaper. read more

Leaf Filter is nothing but a high pressure sales scam that leaves home owners with buyers remorse. After the initial price estimate, they will keep lowering the price until you give in and say yes. This is a very over priced gutter system. The girl started with my estimate at 4,400 for 80 feet of leaffilter protection. After back and forth, it was dropped to 1,700. This is a scam. Taking advantage of the poor guy that goes with the first estimate. Further, if you go to consumer reports and do your research (which the sales person will only show you part of the consumer reports article), the rating of one of the top "do it yourself", only cost 30 cents a foot. (20 buck versus 30 cents is huge). AND the rating is JUST AS GOOD as the leaffilter. Go to Amazon and look at the products that you can order that are just as good and so much cheaper. You can also read the consumer reviews. Their are many different gutters options on amazon or even other do it yourself retail solutions. Save your money and don't have buyer's remorse. The only reason this company is successful is because their sales guys were trained to close the deal. And trust me. They are good. read more
