He interrupted my lunch to announce he'd be in the neighborhood this weekend and wanted to know if I needed my gutters cleaned. Unfortunately, his sales pitch began by ignoring the clearly displayed "No Soliciting" sign posted right next to the door he was knocking on -- and I can only assume he wasn't carrying a solicitor's license either. I WANT A REFUND!! A month ago we got the filters installed. During installation they lifted our shingles (which you can clearly see when looking at the house from the street). When we were sold this product we were promised that our shingles would not be touched which was the main reason we went with this company. Thankfully it rained the same day of installation so we were able to see that due to the shingles being lifted it caused the water to puddle on the roof and leak in-between the gutters and the roof onto our porch. It rained the day before and there was no leakage. This is a massive problem because not only will it cause rot, but it will also cause mold that will reach to the rest of our roof and house. We have called numerous times and had two managers come out and they both gaslit us telling us it was the roofs age causing the shingles to lift up which is not the case because we just bought this house 2 months ago and had an EXTENSIVE inspection. The managers also tried to fix their mistake and added silicon under the shingles which obviously didn't work. We also had a roofer and contractor out to look at the roof and both said the leaking is due to leaf filter. We greatly over paid, had a poor job done AND now have to spend more to get our roof fixed and gutters adjusted to be lower (which were raised). I WANT A REFUND because this is ridiculous. I don't trust them to fix it which is why I want a refund. This company preys on the elderly. Our parents were charged over $14k (after discounts of $6k) for installation on a single story 1,000 sq ft house. This is 3 times more than the highest average price listed on their website. Not only did they overcharged them, they also broke a mounted camera and refused to replace it. We have asked repeatedly for documentation for the work done to justify the cost and we've gotten nothing from them except excuses for why they can't provide it. I would not recommend this product. We purchased it because my husband is not supposed to be up on a ladder. After the first rain, we had 3 areas where the water was just flowing over the gutter. We had their service people out twice and was told that we have to get up and brush off those areas. To me that defeats the purpose of having this product. We also asked for all the gutters to be sealed when they did the install but they were not. Service people are not employees of the company so you never know who is going to show up. It is a very expensive product to not perform as they state. read more

A LeafFilter sales person came to my door and made a presentation. I signed a contract and paid the $300.00 contract charge and specified that I did not want the installation until after April. On April 1st I received a call and a LeafFilter person that said they were on the way to my house to do the installation. I told the man that I had told the sales person that I didn't want the LeafFilter system installed until after the end of April and requested that the Boise manager call me. He didn't return my call. I made a second attempt to contact him but again no response. Because of the poor response I contact the National Office and complained about the lack of response and cancelled my order. I consider the loss of $300.00 better than dealing with a non-responsive company after paying the $3,000.00 for the LeafFilter system installation and lifetime guarantee. I can't recommend this business to anyone. They use high pressure sales tactics and drop their prices way way down. Start out like $6700 and end up below $3000 just don't get it. They would rip you off if they can. Also they are terrible about communicating after the signed deal. They promised pre/post pictures and have received nothing. Very disappointing. I still need to get my drone up to check out their workmanship but now it has snowed so once it melts I will follow up with my review on what I see how things were done. But really the high pressure sales is not good and be aware of that. Also I have solar panels for my outdoor cameras and was not told they would be taken down. I got through the winter without the normal waterfall of overflowing gutters! (Only noticed when it's raining heavily and you don't want to go outside, of course.) And, when a clog was noticed in one of the downspouts it was promptly taken care of as promised. The installation didn't include as much straightening and fixing of the gutters as I had hoped, but they were fast, friendly, and efficient in getting it done. It's a relief not having to worry about clogged gutters anymore. read more

Overall, I would not rate my experience with this company as anything to get excited about. Their product is very expensive for the small amount of time that the sub-contractor spent on the project. He did not address an issue that I had brought to his attention. A follow up inspection of his work never happened like he said it would. My complaints to the company were never addressed. I was told the fine mesh screen would be installed at a angle to help shed debris. A lot of mine are flat, and with the lip of the leading edge creating a small barrier, the debris builds up. and I have to get up on a ladder to clean them. I do have a lot of trees on my property, so take that into account. I would say do your homework before committing to their hard sell tactics!! read more

This was one of the worst sales experiences we have had in quite some time. After several times telling the salesperson we would not decide before we had more bids, he kept pushing. We finally had to escort him off the property. He even dared to ask for gas money. Worst Experience! This is a "good cop" / "bad cop" , Hard Sell Company. The first smiling man came out for an estimate telling me how he was giving me tons of discounts and the best price ever. ( from the actual price of $6700 to the discounted price of $2744). Felt somewhat pressured to commit right then and there because he had to turn in this estimate with a "job Number" but I wanted time to think about it over the weekend. This was August 25,2021. Got a phone and email from someone else August 30 asking to schedule the installation asap. I responded via email with a couple questions, one of which was, "is there also a senior or veteran discount?" (None of the so called dozens of previous discounts were written down on the estimate so I had no way of knowing). I then received a call from the "bad cop" that said he was greatly upset by my email ????? I don't think I have ever, ever, ever, had a salesperson literally yell at me and be so unbelievably condescending. Basically, he told the "good cop" gave me way to many discounts and that they would make no money on this job and that I needed to make the decision right now because they are a huge company and cannot have estimates sitting around on their desk. I initially wanted another day to decide because this project was going to be a gift from my father and I wanted to run the final cost by him. I was going to go with this company and felt my email question was totally appropriate to ask. Why they would have someone so rude and nasty and unprofessional trying to close the deal is amazing to me. Leaf Filter Really needs to reevaluate who the have representing their company. read more

Installation was great. The two installers were thorough and cleaned up the mess they created when cleaning out the gutters. However, the sales process was not up front. The salesman, Tom, came to our house and offered the installation for $13,500, then $11,200 and then, after we said no, he offered the contractor price of $8,500. We signed the contract. On the next day, I had second thoughts and decided to rescind the contract. Upon going to LeafFilter's local office to have them sign the rescission letter, I spent time with Nate, ops manager, who was upfront and nice. He offered the job for $4,105, which I accepted. I realize it's a free market but going from $13,500 down to $4,105 creates some shadiness on the pricing. read more
