I had a roof installed recently but I had to have the company (not ID Roofing Contractors) come back twice to fix things and even then I wasn't certain everything was right. I gave Idaho Roofing Contractors a call to ask if they did roofing inspections before making my final payment to the company that did our roof. They said they would be happy to come out and do an inspection for me. They were extremely communicative and Chris Newton showed up at 2:00 just as scheduled. He walked around the house with me. Explained what looked good and what could have been done differently but was still ok. After a half an hour he said he was going to get out his drone out to see places we couldn't from the ground and snap photos. We then reviewed all the photos and I got a thorough roofing education, much appreciated! I don't know if they normally spend so much time for a free inspection, but regardless, Chris spent an hour with me and the roof and it didn't cost me anything. No sales pitch or request for me to write a review. I wanted to write a review because I wish I had found them instead of the other company I used. I was blown away that they would be so generous when they knew coming in there was likely no immediate financial benefit for them. From everything Chris explained about how detailed they are and how they take photos of every stage of a roofing project, I think anybody would be well off to use this company. Nothing sleazy or pushy, just the kindest down to earth folks trying to do things the right way and provide for their families. Give them a call to have your roof inspected or re read more

Used Yelp to find them, plus 3 other compaies. I can sadly only provide one star based on my own experience: The other three responded within a couple of hours or by the end of the day. It has been three days, and no response from this company. Maybe out of business or just too busy to reply? I think you should get at least a reply but? read more

Professional, friendly and excellent workmanship. They are Owen's Corning Platinum installers and are very competitively priced. Go ahead and shop for quotes but dollar for dollar, this is the best company to go with. No sales pressure, great crew and Ben/Alex were on top of the project. Thank you for a great roof! read more

1st off, they were on time and extremely professional. My roof inspection by Tyler was thorough and easily explained. No charge, no pressure, no pushing sales. Thank you! read more

Ok. This is how life goes. When push comes to shove and you find out the repair was not done correctly.... How a company deals with fixing the issue. They failed miserably by finding a loophole I didn't know about since I'm not a roofer nor an exterior expert. Fail. Fail. Fail. Long story short: we had a leak above the garage. water came in from the roof through the siding to the garage ceiling. I got bids and I hired this company because they had a higher price. I figured I will invest in quality workers and that they will take care of it better than anyone else. Their salesman was really good. They communicated to me the issue and we moved to fixing it. My understanding was that they would remove the house siding, Install flashing to divert the water to go off the roof, not to the garage ceiling. replace the water damaged siding with new ones. Caulk, seal and paint the new nails. What they actually did. Disregarding I cannot look inside their repair and can't guarantee even that part was done correctly. and after two years of the repair while repair was under the 5!!!! Years warrenty. I contacted them since I saw that there is water damage on the house siding bottom. Being confused how that can be I called for service people to inquire. Apparently, house siding should not touch roof shingles because they absorb all the water from the roof shingles and cause further water damage. that's why if you notice, your house siding should have a 1"-1.5" gap between the house siding and the roof shingles where the flashing comes underneath. After requesting them to come and cut down the bottom of the house siding with the water damage to have that gap, they informed me they didn't ever replaced the house siding in the first place just installed them back after installing the flashing therefore, can't warrenty that part. Which means... if you didn't know to request specifically to replace the water damaged house siding, you wouldn't even know it wasn't in the scope of work. And if I didn't inquire two years after, I wouldn't even know about it. Very disappointed. I thought they were one of the companies to actually do their job correctly. I guess that doesn't exist. That means you have to educate yourself about anything that is repaired under your roof. Literally. That way you can actually understand what is repaired and not repaired correctly. As I see ut with extensive house renovations under my belt. Hiring a professional is being a professional knowing the scope of work and details of what needs to be done. Never hire out unless you understand what to ask for. Educate yourselves. Can't trust service providers most of the time. Now I have to pay additional $175 to cut off the water damage that should have been replaced in the $2,400 repair. Horary. read more

We got a quote from IRC to replace our garage roof. It's a metal roof and originally didn't have any decking under the metal. The garage is 24x34, without any oddness. Just two big rectangle section. We needed decking and new metal. The quote was $44,000.00. I almost pooped my pants. IRC is either stoned or they think I'm stupid. My neighbor had her metal roof replaced on her house, the week after I had mine quoted (different roofing co). Her roof is about 1/3 bigger than my garage. It didn't need any new decking but her roof has many different angles, pitches etc. In fact she had a couple companies refuse to do it since it was a difficult roof. Her total cost after completion was $17,000.00 Hum, seems to me IRC gouges it's customers. Like I said they look for stupid people that will pay their outrageous prices. Be very afraid! read more

To all persons interested in working with a roofing company that has integrity, competency of profession, and a willingness to go the extra mile, look no further than Idaho Roofing Contractors. Recently my 96 year old mother was abruptly contacted by her insurance company (AAA) and told that she needed to replace the roof of her home. I contacted Idaho Roofing Contractors and requested they come out to look over the 19 year old roof. Ben Thompson who is an estimator and one of their sales representatives came out to the house, examined the roof and the attic and found no issues. More so, he did the inspection in freezing weather and was not only thorough, but also provided a digital video of the inspection that could be provided to the insurance company to verify there were no issues to the roof. (AAA had used a drone to fly over the home and assumed there was an issue with the roof because of shingle discoloration which was a result of the builder using two different shingle bundles when the house was built.) As a result of Ben's professional knowledge and honesty, my mother was saved over $10,000+ for what could have been a costly replacement/repair due to the less than stellar business practices of AAA. Thank you Ben and thank you Idaho Roofing Contractors for being exceptional at your craft and for caring! When the time comes to eventually get a new roof, we will absolutely being asking you to complete the project. Most sincerely, Anthony Richard read more

***upgraded from 1 to 3 because owner Levi called back and apologized, and said this is not how they normally do business*** I called them Friday for a job and they told me to call back Monday to schedule something. So the fact they couldn't schedule me on a Friday was not good. And the fact that they made me call them was not good. Anyway, I called them on a Monday morning several times and left messages. They haven't called back. Apparently this company's policy is if they are too busy for you, instead of calling you back, they will just ignore you. Real professional. read more

My roof was 23 years old and missing a few too many shingles. I dreaded the process of finding a roofing company, getting bids and ultimately paying for it. I contacted 2 roofing companies after doing extensive research and reading reviews to avoid any problems if possible. Idaho Roofing Contractors contacted me right away, made time around my schedule and did an amazingly quick and thorough job putting my bid together. Kyle was friendly, articulate and addressed all questions and concerns with absolutely no hesitation. He was more interested in educating me about the product than he was trying to sell me something. He made us feel so comfortable and at ease with the whole process. Fast forward to scheduling, I was a mess. I was delayed for multiple reasons and life did not want to slow down for me to be able to catch up. Not one pushy call from anyone at Idaho Roofing. Every time I called I was greeted with a friendly and exciting tone and eventually, I was able to pick a date. For whatever reason it was like Christmas morning getting a new roof. We picked out the most beautiful shingles! Kyle was here the morning of install to introduce me to the crew, answer any last minute questions and grab the crew breakfast (bonus points! It was cold and I felt so appreciative that they value each other like they do!) As I came and went from my house over the 2 days they were here, they were always working. I mean, always working. They put in some long days and I don't even know how they did it. The crew members were always kind, cleaned up everything constantly (even my junk, oops) and the level of detail making sure everything was perfect was outstanding. I now have an absolute gorgeous roof and a company that I recommend whole heartedly. Don't try and save a few pennies by using someone who might not finish or do sub par work (my biggest fear, my neighbor didn't have a roof for over a month!) Thank you, Idaho Roofing. Thank you Kyle. We are truly blessed! read more

This company was an absolute pleasure to work with. We needed a new roof urgently at a very busy time of year. They scheduled us promptly and got the job done in only one day, including cleanup! I particularly liked that the estimate was given without someone having to come out and look at the roof. It was nice to hear back about the cost within an hour or two of my initial contact. I don't know what magic they use for this but it definitely streamlined the process of gathering bids. read more

Idaho Roofing Contractors did a great job. Corky and Will spent time with us, talking through options, explaining the process. The roofing crew was really great. They worked hard, got the job done, was minimally intrusive, and cleaned up. Will came by in person to drop of the invoice, check to see how things went for us, and even brought us a little gift! Thanks, Will Doolittle! Rick and Laura read more

Professional service, excellent team, on time on schedule. Very happy with the results.

This company is horrible. Total lack of professionalism. The quote process was great. Had it the same day I called. Then it went downhill from there.First, when I signed the estimate on Monday, I was told I'd be called by the schedular that week to schedule my job. On Friday I reached out to see when I should hear from the schedular that day. Never heard from him, so I reached out again on the following Monday and finally got scheduled for next Monday morning. The Monday appt, no one showed up. So, I called and was told I was scheduled for Friday morning not Monday. Friday appt, no one showed up. Got rescheduled for Saturday morning, no one showed up. Got rescheduled for Tuesday morning. Showed up an hour late didn't bother knocking on the door. One roofer went up on my roof while the other went into my backyard. I was notified they were on my property when I heard some banging from inside my house. They had the wrong tiles, so they had to go pick up the correct ones, but wouldn't start the job till the next day. Currently they are on hour late and no one is returning my calls/texts. No clue if they will ever fix my roof. read more

Great service from Andrew Obermeyer. Very professional makes you feel like you are being well taken care of for this big job.

Very professional service from start to finish. The sales person was friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. The roofing crew was fast and efficient and above all very clean. I was super impressed with how well they cleaned up after themselves every day of the job. Communication before, during and after the job has been great. This has been an all around great experience that we were not expecting. Only because recently we had the interior of our house remodeled and it was the exact opposite experience. So to work with a quality group of people for a change was great. And to top it all off the finished product looks fantastic. Thank you for a job well done! read more

Idaho Roofing Contractors were very responsive and professional when I was getting bids to replace a roof that was improperly installed by another contractor in 2012. It was working with attorney, insurance company, engineer and another contractor who was fixing water damages which delayed my selection of a roofer. Andrew was patient, helpful, and wasn't pushy. In the end I selected another contractor due to cost but would not hesitate one minute in referring Idaho Roofing Contractors! read more

When reroofing our 20-year-old home last month we consulted three different contractors. Although all of them were professional Idaho Roofing was the choice we made. They were not the least expensive but the most attentive to answering our questions and following up with us. Rick and his crew were there on time every day and completed the job in the amount of time they told us it would be done. I only had one small concern after the job was completed and they were there the next day to take care of it. I would highly recommend them. Although a roof not the most exciting thing to have done on your house, I am excited to have it done and have it look nice. I am confident it is done right. Thank you for the great work. read more
