She'd been struggling with some anxiety and pulled so badly on her leash that I actually got a stress fracture in my foot from walking her! I knew we needed help, especially as Hollie grew bigger and stronger, and I'm so glad we found Argos. After six sessions with Martin, her confidence has increased tremendously, and her anxiety is significantly less in almost all situations. I was looking for a positive reinforcement trainer, and Martin's methods are balanced and realistic. Hollie would get so excited to get in the car to go play with her new friend! She took to all of the instruction really well - walking her now is a LOT of fun. Most importantly, Martin worked to train *me*! I'll admit I didn't catch on as quickly as Hollie did, but I'm working on it, and she's very patient with me. ;) I feel like I have the tools and understanding now to continue working with Hollie in my own, in a variety of situations, and that's ultimately what I was hoping to come away with. I had called a number of grooming companies, none offered this type of system, all were on really busy streets. In addition, your pup is usually groomed in less than 3 hours. Brenda, the groomer, is phenomenal. She grooms to match the breed and will match to any specific instructions. Mine are always to shave the beard typical on the breed, I simply do not like it, Brenda shaves the beard. The service is outstanding.

I dropped off my German Shepherd and not even 10 minutes later they told me I needed to come pick him up, which was funny because he had been to the groomer many times before with no issues but after moving, I needed to find a new one. So after doing tons of research, I found another place nearby with great reviews and what would you know they had no issue with my dog at all. The issue was not my dog. It was their groomers. Not to mention the passive aggressive comment they made when I was picking him up, asking if "he let me brush him at home". He lets everyone brush him and loves to be brushed, but he also is a good judge of character and maybe that was the issue. Daycare was not his favorite thing but I kept having him attend, once a week to build his socialization and have an outlet without me. After going to daycare once a week for months, he finally had a switch flip and absolutely LOVES daycare. He knows on Tuesday mornings he has to get ready early and spends the entire drive there with his tail wagging excitedly. This once very anxious and unsure pup now looks forward to playing and "going to school". He is always worn out and sleeps for like 2 days straight after attending. Tubbs also has a lot of allergies and needs special attention to those medical things. They make sure he never comes even near any of his allergies and i fully trust he is getting great care. Whenever we do an overnight stay, they make sure he takes all his meds, update me on his visit and has lots of fun playing. We love the pooped pooch and are totally of the belief that everyone should be going to doggy daycare - especially them if you live in the dorchester area!!
