History
Established in 2010.
Wicked Lucky Dog Training and Rehabilitation is a new business in Boston established by local residents, Tom and Marilyn.
Tom and I are so excited to share our knowledge and skills with anyone who is struggling with a dog's behavior. We began our journeys long before we met, with our first dogs, Jack (Marilyn's dog) and Lucky (Tom's dog). Jack was a sweet, loving laborador/ German Shepherd mix with an anxious, reactive demeanor. He was afraid of motorcycles, fireworks, thunder, and other odd noises. While on leash, he would lunge and bark at various critters, other dogs, people on bikes, etc. During the winter, when it became icy around New England, he could easily cause me to slip and fall. Tom rescued his first pit bull, Lucky, from a junkyard where she was living outside, scarcely fed, and had the unfortunate moniker of "Killer". Tom spent some time domesticating her with some basic leash training, eventually giving her a happy dog's life. She lived 13 years in his care
Meet the Business Owner: Tom F.
We've been in this business awhile now and we can't even express how much we love helping people initiate and maintain better relationships with their dogs. Like... wow!
We use simple, effective tools and techniques that allow an owner to have confidence in his leadership and in the dog's consistent and reliable responses. The expectation is obedience always and calmness when asked - anywhere, no matter what the distractions, no matter who the handler is, and no matter what the exercise or meal schedule has been to that point of the day. Like... double wow!!
In the hope of "wowing" you yet again, another cool aspect of this program is much of it is the same from dog to dog. Yup! Most of what we teach can be taught to other dogs, without modification, resulting in the same success. So, whether you're thinking of having a big pack of furry friends in your house right now or just know that you'll have dogs as pets for the foreseeable future, learning these techniques will never let
