Always one of our go to spots in downtown lincoln, and Lincoln just in general! Parking is your typical downtown parking, meters & parking garages. They have multiple different kinds of seating, bar, outside, inside, and back in a caboose!! They do not take reservations, but if there is a wait day of they can add you to the online waitlist! Food is always great! I love that you can get a side of queso & chips for no up charge instead of fries! Their fries are also a mix of crinkle & waffle which is fun! The service is always nice & fast! We have had so many different items on the menu, Mac n cheese, burgers, poutine, and many sandwiches, they are always good & flavorful!

Great spot in the Haymarket to grab some filling food! They've got a spot patio and a pretty decent inside space but be prepared to wait if there's an event going on downtown. The servers are great and the atmosphere is fun! They've got lots of great and diverse vegetarian options! There beer menu is normally pretty great to stocked up with local picks. We used to come here all the time in college and to the Omaha location (RIP) more recently. I was hardcore craving a fully leaded jacket which is no longer on the main menu but the waitress was able to hook me up! It used to come with chips but looks like now it's fries. A fully leaded jacket is basically a burger patty between cinnamon rolls, covered in a bean chili, drizzled with queso, and topped with an egg. It's definitely not a light option but it's my absolute favorite.

Perfect spot downtown in the Haymarket--great for a quick bite or a night out. The bar is classic with lots of rustic wood, a perfect fit for the area, Our server was great he walked us through the menu and pointed out a few top sellers. The Philly egg rolls were outstanding--packed with flavor and tender steak. The sandwiches were creative, fresh, and delicious. Overall, highly recommend.

I was looking for a quick bite that was gluten free and LeadBelly had a gluten free bun option. The bun was toasty and didn't fall apart. The hamburger beef was delicious as well as the bacon, the jam and peanut butter gave it an interesting taste but it was not overbearing. The staff were nice and attentive. Interesting on the inside but nice patio on the outside , if you sit in a booth on the inside your view is people having dinner on the patio. Very good

Great dinner at LeadBelly's as usual! Starting off with a Latte-tini - I'm a sucker for a drink with the Mill coffee in it. I don't always go for drinks with caffeine in them because I don't want to stay awake but I didn't have any issues with this from the drink (plus it was perfectly balanced!) The food was all great, I think they recently updated the menu but had many familiar items. I tried one of their specials (the hot honey sandwich) and the Wake Up Call burger - I definitely prefer splitting meals to mix it up through the meal and both were super tasty. Extra points for the poutine appetizer. We went at like 7:30 on a Friday night and somehow got a table in the back for 6 right away which was awesome. They had the restaurant all decorated for Valentine's Day which was cute and the back room was a little quieter being away from the main space and is super quaint.

I've always loved LeadBelly! Located in the Haymarket. Food and vibes are always great! My latest menu favorite is the Mixed Green Salad with steak.

Great Spot for a Casual Night Out! We were seated right away on a Friday night, which was a pleasant surprise. The patio seating was a great vibe and perfect for a relaxed evening. They had a decent beer selection with something for everyone. The food was unique and flavorful--definitely not your average menu. We especially loved the variety of dipping sauces you can order for the fries--such a fun touch! Would definitely come back.

Leadbelly's is a Lincoln staple and the food was great! Only thing is their Chicken Teriyaki Bowl's description has Udon noodles but they're actually a flat rice noodle, kinda what you'd expect from like Pad Thai. Udon is a thick round noodle Pretty good overall though!

Lead Belly has such good food! I was so happy to be able to stop here since the one closer to us closed awhile back! Service was amazing like always , food was great as always, and the spot is awesome in downtown area. Forgot to take all the pics of food but definitely stop in!

After walking around the Haymarket, checking out Leadbelly's was a great idea. They definitely have a unique list of sandwiches. You can pick your meat (burger, chicken, portobello, etc.). One thing I get nervous about with burgers is how they huge they can be and not being able to finish them. The burger that I got was the perfect size and I finished it all. I got the Go Pig Red. They also have a very classy looking bar. The bartenders kept waking by with holiday themed flights. The beers on tap are a variety of local and favorites. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Lincoln.

Again, another highly recommended place in Lincoln! You can smell it before you see it, and it's wonderful. It was pretty slow when we went in but I was very eager. There are SO many options here and I love the creativity with the burgers. I love that they have vegetarian options and you have choose your patty.I was torn between a lot of the choices but ultimately went with the California dreaming and added garlic aioli on the side. My boyfriend got the raspberry beret and I must admit I was skeptical. His burger was subtly sweet and savory. The peanut butter is not prominent (which I liked) and the raspberry jam is well balanced and compliments the burger well. Mine was delicious and savory, just the way I like to. The fresh jalapeños added a nice heat to the palate, but I feel like I lost the onion jam in the mix of things. Would have loved if it was more present. The garlic aioli was a good addition if you're looking for a sauce. Only qualm is that although they are creative with the toppings, I find the meat itself to be a little under seasoned for my liking which led me to think of it as bland. I love dressing up a burger, don't get my wrong, but I also love when the meat itself is accentuated. Either way though, I enjoyed the burger. All in all we paid 36$ before tip for the two burgers and an Arnold Palmer. Pretty fairly priced. Check them out!

Had higher hopes! Food was just okay. Smaller inside than I thought. Beer was good. Not sure if I'd go back.

Outstanding place. Our group of 4 were seated immediately. Hailey, our waitress, was phenomenal. She was personable, fun, attentive, and prompt. She made great recommendations. We started with queso & chips. The chips were clearly homemade, and they, along with the dip, were superb. 2 of our group ordered the Full Leaded Jackets. OMG The combination of sweet (cinnamon roll) and spicy ( chili & jalapeños) was indescribable. I can eat, and I was unable to finish the entree. Taking home the remainder and looking forward to finishing it off. The others in our group built their own hamburgers and said they were delicious. Unfortunately, we are from out of town or this would be a regular dining spot for us. Kudos to Leadbelly's

All were delicious and I would have each based on my mood. My starter drink was a Blueberry Mojito, which hit the spot. Rum, blueberry, lime, mint, and soda. Refreshing, mild, and on ice. We each picked the French Onion as the clear winner, but the others were expertly made and tasty. My entree was a starter offering, the Tuna Poke Bowl. Scrumptious, light, and filling. Served chilled in a stone bowl with chips. The Atlantic Cod and chips were great, with a couple of dipping sauces. Perfectly fried. The third dish was a lunch special, it was a pasta dish with sun dried tomatoes, roasted baby tomatoes, in a red sauce sprinkled with feta cheese. This was so good. We broke down and ordered desserts. The Green Gateau cake is chocolatey with a hint of pistachios. Also had the Apricot Napoleon Torte which is baked up in Omaha and is renowned. Service was superb, thank you Ben! with a relaxing atmosphere, classy decorations, and fun time. We will be back!

I really loved this and would absolutely order it again. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan, and it came with a nice, thick piece of chicken--always appreciated. The San Marzano tomato sauce was good and flavorful, and the dish was well-balanced overall. I'm a little picky about breading, and I didn't love it but flavor-wise it's spot on. I had total plate envy for the teriyaki steak bowl. It looks phenomenal and I will definitely be ordering that next time. One friend had the Moody Bleu Burger (without the jalapeños) and said it was still a bit spicy but tasty overall. Another friend ordered the Veggie Burger, and she said it was really good. She often orders veggie burgers and felt this one held its own. Someone else at the table compared it to the veggie burger at Leadbelly, with high praise. The Bistro Burger was also a hit flavor-wise--Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, and mushrooms worked well together--but the only downside was that the bottom bun got pretty soggy. It's almost like they tried to make it more "fancy" (yellow bell pepper, herb sauce) when all you really need is the essentials. The highlight of this meal was definitely the french onion soup, it was perfectly burned with plenty of Gruyère cheese, loaded with onions. Pricing for the wagyu Philly ($14) is pretty reasonable as this came with a side. The soup was $8 which is a bit pricy for just a side of soup, although it was a pretty solid bowl. It is 6 o'clock on a Tuesday night and it is my table and one other in the restaurant. The floor is carpeted and there are booths along the wall as well as many tables 6 top and four tops. The silverware is located in a cigar box on the table. The menu is viewed by scanning a QR code. You may ask for a paper menu as well. We ordered 6 wings half with barbecue sauce and half with Annie B's sauce. Annie B's sauce is a combination of honey mustard and barbecue sauce. We also ordered the Haystack barbecue chicken sandwich to share. It comes with fries. You're able to substitute it for mashed potatoes, green beans or you can get salad bar, or you may get mac & cheese. Not sure if the last two are an up charge or not The servers periodically get up on stage and sing. They will take requests. The barbecue wings are very good. They are double fried which gives a crisp outside skin. Comes with three celery sticks. The blue cheese and the ranch dressing are very thin. Very runny. Not much flavor to the salad dressing. Chicken sandwich is a very thin piece of chicken. I think it has too much barbecue sauce. I do like the smoked Gouda on it. However, the sandwich was cold. It should be a hot sandwich and it would get a much higher rating if it were served hot. The french fries are a thick cut curly fry. They have great flavor and great crunch. It's nice to bite into a fry and feel the meat of the potato. The wait staff is kind and they all help each other. They take turns going up and singing. It could be a request or something they choose. Oddly enough, the four songs that we recommended they knew none. So we told them to pick some thing of their own liking. Overall, the food was much better than I anticipated. Out of five stars, I would give the wings five stars but the chicken sandwich would be a 3 1/2, because it was served cold and the chicken was thin and dry. The french fries were a five. Service was definitely a five. The staff is very friendly. This would be a fun place to visit with people from out of town. It is unique to the area and the food overall was worth going back for.
