Three months later, the repairs not done. The flooring has not been restored, parts of our home are still unfinished, and communication has been minimal despite multiple attempts to follow up and now they are refusing to cooperate. What has been most concerning is not the issue itself, but the lack of follow-through after responsibility was acknowledged in writing. This has resulted in an ongoing disruption to our home and a very frustrating experience. If you choose to work with this company, I would strongly recommend documenting everything clearly and confirming responsibility in writing before any work begins.

They noticed issues with placement and exhaust, and they corrected these and let me know about their fixes to prevent future problems. Very kind people. Water is now easier to control the temperature of, and I have the peace of mind that the water is now clean and that I shouldn't have to worry about the water heater for quite some time! Pricing is what it is, not their fault everything is as expensive as it is right now.

Early the next morning, I had a message from Adam B. Once I got to work, I returned the call and quickly described my issue and what I believed it to be. The first available appointment wasn't until Monday (it wasn't urgent, so I wasn't worried about going the weekend). I got my timeframe. I had a couple other appointments that day, so I ended up taking the day off so I could easily be available. I immediately liked that they told me who would be arriving - AND that was who arrived. I also liked that they use a customer portal that allows you to have some security if you pay online or to review your records. Christian arrived (there was one other person with him). It took him a couple minutes to diagnose the issue he believed it to be, and it took him not a lot longer to determine that diagnosis correct. He quoted the price, I agreed, and he got to work. After finishing the work, he determined the original issue I'd believed it to be wasn't quite needing to be addressed (but will be in the near future). We discussed options, including ways I could save a bit. Christian was personable and explained things in a way I could understand. The issue was likely caused by me, but he managed to avoid using the word "idiot" at any point. The repair was done in a timely manner. The price ended up being a bit lower than quoted. I appreciated his honesty as he very easily could have pointed me toward a repair not needing done yet. It also became obvious the last person I'd used had really only done half the job. Everything has worked beautifully since Christian finished. There are likely a couple more projects I'll tackle in the near future, and I won't hesitate to return to Grateful Plumber. The housecall was $59, but that was credited toward the repair once I decided to have them do the work. Friendly employees. Good follow-through. Fair pricing. Quality work. Problem solved. That's 5-star for me and another winner for Yelp's project feature.

When first maintenance was due, I received an unexpected form email stating "my package was on the way" the next day. The next day I received a form email stating "delivery of my package could not be completed." When I called Aqua to ask about the emails, Aqua said the emails were notification of a service call that I did not know about, that they thought I'd be home to let them in, that they couldn't park when they arrived unexpectedly, etc. We agreed to reschedule service and Aqua agreed to ask if I'd be home before they came. Weeks went by. When I called the 4th time to reschedule and threatened to cancel the contract, Aqua responded by email they would cancel my contract as they have few customers in my area. I called Aqua to say I had prepaid for maintenance that they did not provide. Aqua agreed to refund 3 months of fees. I would not recommend this company because of poor customer service.

We have done some maintenance over the years but the basic system is from 2004. My issue is with the service department at the local office. They sent us a mailing offering a free system inspection. Although ours has been working great, why not? Of course I would expect them to try to sell us something newer but I'm pretty good at resisting that kind of stuff. The first issue is they could not pin down an appointment to any window smaller than an entire day. I had to find a day when I knew either my wife or I would be home at all times. They promised a call between 8:30 and 9:30 the morning of the appointment to give us a 2-hour window. We had to book the initial date for more than a month out because of the "home all day" requirement. We booked for Oct 1st. As the date got closer, I had to book something else for the early morning on Oct 1st. The day before I called to see if they could give me a window later in the morning or the afternoon. They could not so we rescheduled. Magically they were able to push back just 1 day to Oct 2nd. I was promised the same 8:30 - 9:30 call. Having not received the call by 10:30 AM, I called Kinetico. After being passed around to several folks, I reached someone who said they've had a lot of emergencies lately and they need to rebook some of the non-essential service calls. Totally understandable but where is the call to tell me that? And how did all these "emergencies" materialize in the last 36 hours? The staff seems to have no concept what people need to do to clear a day on their schedule or keep a COMPLETELY open for them.
