My husband ordered a daily special: sausage and mashed potatoes, and said it was good. I ordered the French onion soup. This was our first meal in Paris. The spring rolls didn't look like typical spring rolls, but they were delicious. The Salmon was amazing, but the veggies could have been cut smaller. I would have ordered a few more drinks, but getting the attention of the staff was not worth the effort. Also the non smoking section is inside but the door between both sections is open and closed so frequently it's almost pointless. read more

I'm starting to accept that great vegetarian friendly food is très difficile to find in Paris. Le Zinc is no exception. The good--they actually have a veggie burger and service was prompt. We went to two other brasseries before and the servers disappeared to never return again. So we were just happy at the mere fact that the server reappeared in a few minutes after seating us to take our order. The fries were fresh and burger was okay. Most people around were just in for drinks, so maybe that's more of the draw here. read more

Delicious food, lovely location. Our server and all the staff were wonderful! They spoke English very well and seemed to appreciate that I attempted to speak French. Not a tourist trap! They never asked for a tip, they set the bill and walked away. Wonderful experience. read more

Awesome Parisian cafe! I find myself thinking about the wonderful veggie lasagna I had quite often- so delicious! Sangria was SO GOOD- refreshing, fruity, fun. Bread was phenomenal. Great location, charming vibes, and friendly staff. There's a covered portion of the cafe for sunny days and lots of outdoor seating. Can't recommend enough! Decent bistro. It's your standard fare. I had steak that was a bit chewy with mundane fries and a small salad. The red wine was quite bitter. My GF and I both noted that the music being played was strange given that it was just 6pm and dinner time yet they had club music going. Desserts were ok. I don't know if I would go back. read more

A very happening and busy cafe "way" over in the 15th. I owed a friend a favor who had come to the 19th in order to do something for me, so I got my passport, crossed the river, and came a bit closer to her. In all seriousness, Le Zinc is a happening and cool spot with decent prices and excellent atmosphere. The waitstaff seem to constantly circle and lurk, and trust me, that's not a bad thing. read more

Good food and a decent price! The server spoke English and taught us a few French words. She was incredibly patient and helpful. Additionally, she showed us the proper way to eat escargot. I would recommend this restaurant for a delicious burger, yummy fries, and a tasty appetizer. We are debating on the perfect dessert, but I'm sure that will be fantastic as well. Fantastic Happy Hour. Classic modern bistro at La Motte Piquet. Great variety of cocktails for 5euros during Happy Hour! I've also mosied over for a coffee in the morning with a friend on their nice big terrasse. I hope to try their food sometime soon. read more

I like Le Zinc for its atmosphere mostly. The wait staff is friendly towards (polite) Americans, so thats a plus. The food is fine for what Ive had although I am yet to find a great cheeseburger anywhere in Paris. There are other restaurants in the neighborhood (I'm staying in) but I like to re-visit Le Zinc at least a couple times a week. read more

The food is excellent (I found most cafe steak tartare to be lacking a bit on the spice and this one was on point) and the service is quite friendly- by French standards. Le Zinc = Le Stink. Yearning for the stench of cigarette smoke embedded in your clothes and hair? Than you've come to the right place! Something about the air flow in this place causes the billowing smoke from the outside tables to funnel into the inside table space and stay there. Don't go to this place! My friend and I both got the worst ever food poisoning from there! A week ago, my friend and I went to this Brasserie in Paris. After we ate the food, my friend had to run to the bathroom to throw up. I did not immediately have to throw up - unfortunately the food stayed in my stomach. Half an hour later, my stomach started to go crazy. I got high fever and some of the worst time of my life for 6 days straight! Believe me, it was like hell. Only antibiotics could then make it better, but currently the laboratory is analyzing, what was in Le Zinc's food. It was definitely their food, because it was the only meal we had that day, and it started immediately after eating there. Le Zinc: Screw you! You stole one week of my life! They used ti have duck breast on the menu and it was fantastic!!! It has been taken off the regular menu much to my dismay. Any recommendations for a place with superb breast of duck. I can't go to Paris and not have it. Need a new "go to" place. It's not on every menu anymore :( read more

Love this local café. Have visited this café a hand full times over the last three years. My wife and I really do not speak French so when visited Zinc twice on our last trip to Paris (June 2017) we were surprised how welcoming the servers were to us. The food is OK, the service was better but the smoking was out of control. We were the only two people out of at least 40 who were not smoking. Zinc is one of thousands of true French café to visit while in Paris. If we make it back to Paris we will stop in for a glass of wine and a crock Misère or Madame. read more
