Your go to French food! I've been twice and the food here is simple yet good. Service for French food is made to order, so you may be waiting a bit longer than us Americans are used to. The service isn't exactly like "rude", my server just didn't check on me as I'm accustomed to. After orders, the drinks come quickly and a bit after, the appetizers. It was a good at least 20mins until my food actually came. (All five of our plates.) I went on a weekday for dinner and it wasn't too busy. I believe service like this is normal in France. So I just wanted y'all to be aware of this! The cheese board is always an easy go to for everyone. Their cheese is of course amazing. The sliders are small but soooo tasty. I recommend everyone to order it at least once. When the food actually comes, depending on what you order, it's quite a lot. Lots of the orders come with fries which is always a plus. Steaks are cooked perfectly to however you like. Most plates are on the heavy side and packed full for hungry people. Even though we couldn't finish our plates, I always want dessert. Their tiramisu was ok. It's more mousse like and not as much espresso flavored in that it lacked the amount of lady fingers which I was looking for. If you do get it, I recommend sharing. Creme brûlée of course is always an easy enjoyable dessert but nothing out of the ordinary. Of course, this place is still tasty for the most and I'll be coming whenever I'm in town. read more

Dined here before the concert at Accor Arena. Steak Tartare was amazing. It's a quick walk over the bridge if your attending a show. No tourists here just Parisians. Sit outside under one of those heat lamps order a local beer or some French wine. read more

First impression: pricy. A bottle of beer runs between 6 and 9 EUR - in a place of casual setting. Burger with fries for 13:50 is acceptable. Setting is quaint and whimsical yet in a bar style way. Service was prompt, as we came for brunch ahead of the crowds. What irks me though, and this is common in Paris, is that people pretend not to speak English. Let me first start out by saying that this restaurant is not in the best neighborhood and you may have a view of tents where the homeless people live. That being said we came here because of the reviews on Yelp and the food was great! The service was just ok. Our waitress was extremely busy especially when we were trying to leave since a hockey game just got out and every table was full with people who wanted drinks. We had to wait a bit since the menus are in french and my husband and I don't speak any french. The waitress was pretty helpful at explaining it and telling us what was on it. She spoke very fast and you had to pay extra attention to what she was saying. We started out with the cheese and meat platter as an appetizer and we both had the french steak with a salad and french fries. The steak was pretty medium rare, but was very good. If you don't like medium rare steak you may want to order something else since they don't ask you how you want your steak prepared. After our meal we had their creme brulee which was nothing special. It was good, but the same was we could get here in the US. After several attempts to get our waitress attention for our check she said she would get us the bill in 5 minutes. We waited for about 20 before we saw her again. Our dinner took about 3.5 hours. I would not recommend coming here if you are in a hurry. We wanted to try to make it to our 1 hour cruise, but couldn't since dinner took so long. The food is good, but I don't think we will go back if and when we come back to Paris. read more

Wasn't sure if I should write this review in French or English. I'll go ahead and do it in English since i'm writing this review as a visitor. I came to Paris with a 24 hour layover and was brought here by a friend of mine who lives in Paris. We came for dinner after 9 PM and the restaurant was pretty full. The service was a little slow, but the waitress was for the most part pretty friendly. I read a little of the reviews on here and some of these people gave it pretty low marks. I have to say, that my dish was pretty good. I ordered the fish entrée and it was fresh and absolutely delicious! I even got crème brûlée for dessert which was amazing! I had a miserable experience at this café on a rainy Sunday evening. The scene was chaos when we walked in, no one greeted us, we had to track someone down to see where we could sit, we sat at an unbused table for 10 minutes completely unnoticed until I grabbed someone's attention and forced them to actually give a shit about our presence. That should have been our cue to exit, but it was dark and cold and rainy and we needed a warm spot to relax before embarking on the venture home. The staff was changing service and there was so much coming and going and dish washing and glass clanking that it was almost surreal, and in the midst of it all, we sat, and sat, and sat, and waited and sat and tried to flag someone down, and then gave our order and then sat, and sat...and then finally got our order, but without any napkins, or salt and pepper, or glasses, or knives and forks. Essentially snail pace service in a hectic abrasive environment. Oh, and to top it off, the restrooms were as trashed and gross as the bathrooms at a NYC club at 5am. Avoid if you can. read more

Had dinner with friends from Paris here tonight. Highly recommended by them due to quality of food and reasonable prices. All was true and good. House wines were very nice. Regional steaks and beef dishes are the meals of choice here. I had a pot roast type dish topped with mashed potatoes and sautéed onions acc by salad and French fries. Not traditional, but delicious and filling. Others had steaks, veggie lasagna and salmon. No complaints and all good. Desserts were great but the tiamisu nutella was rated the best. We found this place on Yelp when we had a long wait for a train at Gare du Lyon. We were tired, hungry, and hot. We had delicious hamburgers, but the best thing was the Coin-Coin Salad (duck salad) which was amazing! Fall off the bone tender duck, deliciously seasoned potatoes, fresh greens, and a delicious large egg roll. The staff was very friendly and brought us drinks and food very quickly. Just had brunch here with my parents. The terasse is amazing, especially with the 4o'clock sun. That's more or less the nicest thing about this place. The food arrived 45 min after we ordered, plus I was served first, then after ten minutes my mother, and only ten minutes later when I went to the waiter to ask where was my dad's food that they finally brought it. I had brunch, which was OK, the scrambled eggs were a little bit too dry and the drinks arrived only after I repeatedly asked for them. THE CAPPUCCINO WAS DISGUSTING!!! I sent it back and they made a very nice one after second try. My parents took the "tartare Auvergniat" which was soaking in OLIVE OIL and the fries were too greasy, the sauce for the salad was the only one OK (but no tomatoes!) Overall I would not recommend this place, even if the waiters are quite nice and seem overwhelmed. read more

The Best Meal I had in Paris was at Chez Lili et Marcel! Great location right next to our hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. We spoke almost no French but our fantastic waitress did speak Spanish and was more then willing to help us out with our menu and didn't make us feel like dumb American's at all. The food was just fantastic! I had the best Chicken Curry of my life followed by a mouth-watering soufflé I will never forget. If I had the time I would have eaten there every night. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are on this side of town, its right off the 6 Metro. I hope to one day be able to eat there again. read more

Nice typical bistro ... very French style with their table cloths. Good food, good wine and the area is really nice : aerial underground bridge, the Seine river just on the other side of the road, and a nice terrace to enjoy when the weather is nice .... the staff was lovely for a Parisian bistro . Ok yes, this place is somewhat of "une usine", as in the sense that they try and churn people in and out, and it might feel a bit hectic/packed in here, but other than that, I like chez Lili et Marcel. The location is awesome, right at the river and near quai de la gare metro, and there's an awesome terrace for those lucky enough to score outdoor seating. The menu is pretty typical of French bistros/brasseries/cafes, and is eerily similar to that of chez prospère (and I kind of wonder if it's the same owners..). Come here and feel good about eating "healthy" and grab a "salad". Lol. I use quotation marks around salad cuz those things are huge and copious and not just full of veggies: u will not leave hungry after one of those. I mean this place is nothing to write home about and while I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to eat here, this place delivers so check it out if ur in the hood. You are sure to find something for everyone on the menu, and it has an authentic old-school French cafe/bistro look and feel to it. Just try not to mind all the hustle and bustle. read more

Good food, nice waiters and a good time. I went to Paris in 2011 and slept in a hotel at the Quai de la Gare. Next to my hotel i found the Chez Lili et Marcel. It's nice looking bar/ restaurant with really good food. You get the usual french food, some nice burgers and always a glass with olives and dijon mustard ;) I liked it that much over there that I mostly went there for a drink and to eat. Our family (with kids) visited this place due to the many positive reviews. It's a french bistro made to service ALOT of people. They work fast and swift with the orders. First of all we were seated in a boot right next to the toilet door. It was constantly open and we could often smell the toilet odors. There shouldn't even be a table there. The place serves alot of local french guests, so the menu was only in french language. We ordered different food and in all cases the food was unbalanced. Some good ingredients but the booth the burger meat and chicken was way too dry. Still love their cold kitchen wine. The prices was a bit too high for this standard, the service was unpersonal and the seating was wrong. read more
