The Peep goes now by Maple. Went there after a while. And it's a big disappointment! The fork I got was dirty. Then the food came. Food is what a Denny's would serve. Cheap ingredients, undercooked hash browns that are floating in grease. Probably will have an artery clogged after that. The food is tasteless and greasy. The caffe latte is just flat coffee with milk. Might as well go to Starbucks who will give you a better quality coffee. It's Denny's food for the price of a Cafe Patachou. I've been to other area Le Peep restaurants before, so there were no major surprises here, but what impressed me the most was the 'cool' factor of the location itself. This area on Rangeline is one of my favorite areas of Carmel, practically right downtown near Main Street. The Arts & Design district is polarizing in this community, but I love it. I used to go to le peeps in other cities and they were always good but kind of old school. I decided to try this one on a whim. It's a little lackluster on the outside but cute and modern on the inside. It can get pretty busy if you go on the weekends during breakfast time but they have a decent amount of tables to accommodate various party sizes. The parking lot is also large so you never have to worry about finding a spot. The skillets are my favorite menu item. Any and all of them. The pancakes are quite delicious too. If you don't like either of those there are plenty of other items to choose from. The menu is huge. For drinks they have coffee, lattes, OJ, and even booze if you need a cocktail. I drive by here all the time and it hasn't really ever lured me in, as I've never heard much about it. I went for a work lunch recently and it was good! The location is super convenient in downtown Carmel and right on Rangeline. There's a ton of parking in dt carmel too so it shouldn't be an issue if you drive. The interior space is nice and spacious if you peak around the corner. It was full for lunch hour which is always a good sign! They have a HUGE menu so it's an excellent pick if you're going with a group of people - everyone at my table was able to get a variety of their own favorite foods. I tried the Shakshuka - it was good, very spicy and heavy tomato based with not much else to enhance. I thought the ratio of tomato base compared to egg and bread was pretty massive. I'm a sucker for this dish typically and I enjoyed how spicy it was, but it was missing something for me and not the best I've had. Our server was amazing!! Mixed reviews from our table. Two had traditional breakfast plates and they were happy with them. The other two of us had biscuits and gravy. Very delicious... no complaints about taste but they only give you 1/3rd of the gravy other breakfast joints do. Don't be stingy with gravy. BE GENEROUS! If it's a bit too much, the customer can always scrape some to the side. But it's very difficult to eat plain, dry biscuits with only 1/3rd of the gravy you need to get a little taste of gravy in every bite. We won't order that overpriced plate again. read more

My husband and I have had breakfast at Le Peep a couple of times now, and we had a wonderful meal each time! The first time we dined indoor with our young kids, and most recently, we dined outdoor just the two of us. Friendly host, friendly service and great meals each time. Le Peep is located in the downtown Carmel area, not far from Midtown Plaza. We plan to dine there again sometime this summer, while they still have al fresco dining! Super disappointing visit. I got the prosciutto sandwich, it wasn't prosciutto, it was straight up ham pieces that they put in the sandwich. In general, the sandwich wasn't good. On top of that, i asked for a side of ranch and they charged me $1.99 for this side. If you're going to charge people $2 for ranch, you need to tell them that in advance, not surprise them on the check. Overall, not a great visit. I've been coming to Le Peep since I was a kid, and even though I no longer live in Indiana, when I do come home, Le Peep is always on the top of the list of list! It is my favorite brunch place for a lot of reasons: -The portions are robust, especially for this day and age. -The taste and texture of the food are consistently excellent! -The ambiance of casual comfort makes it a perfect place to get together with friends. The level and quality of service vary depending on your server, but I have never once came away unhappy with it. I was waiting for my oil to be changed at Integrity Auto so I walked down the block and had breakfast a Le Peep. Light airy pleasant environment and the food was excellent. I had the Wilbur with gravy. Delicious! And generous portions. I couldn't finish it all. The table didn't feel crowded at all, and plenty of space around to walk with a cane. If I were to make one critique I would mention that the tables are too low for the chair heights. I felt like I was having to lean over more than normal to eat my meal. It's been awhile since I visited Le Peep and this was my first visit to this newish location. I ordered takeout breakfast and was greatly impressed with my food. I got the brioche sammie and it was delicious. Great flavor and fresh ingredients. The potatoes were crisp and not dry. The flavor was good and didn't require ketchup. I called in the order for pickup and my food was ready when I arrived. My only reservation was that I was really surprised by the lack of masks. I realize that masks are not required, but with the present COVID-19 surge I was expecting the servers and restaurant staff to be masked. If all of the employees are vaccinated that is wonderful and worth promoting with a sign on the door or on the welcome chalkboard. Even being fully vaccinated I prefer to protect myself and others with a mask. If you have COVID-19 concerns or are immunosuppressed, live with young unvaccinated children, this might not be the best place to visit. read more

Le Peep has taken over the former Blu-Moon Cafe spot off of Rangeline. A good bit of remodeling but the overall layout looks the same. One notable difference is the kitchen is clearly visible. I placed a takeout order as I planned to eat on their patio. At some point while waiting, I noticed that the kitchen staff in the back were not wearing masks at all. I then asked for a refund and to their credit, they refunded me and apologized. Wanted to step out of my comfort zone and try the Shakshukla (Mediterranean) dish only made at this Le Peep in Carmel. Nice flavor of garlic, cumin, and cayenne. It's a tomato (souplike) base, with two sunny side up eggs with feta and avocado. I really liked. My wife got her favorite custard French toast. As far as the food goes, it was delicious and has the same great quality as other Le Peep locations in the Indianapolis area. My order of small French toast and bacon was very tasty. The bacon had great smoky flavor although a little cold. The small French toast was just enough food for breakfast and I didn't finish the last slice. However, the service here is what is dragging the review down to 3 stars. First, I had called the location 30minutes before our arrival to ask about the wait. She seemed confused why I was asking and there was a long pause that I thought the phone was disconnected. I knew it's Sunday and I always prepare for large crowds during brunch. If there wasn't very many people she couldve just said so. Bad first impression proved itself with the service we received. Our waiter took our drink orders and after we got our drinks we didn't see her for 35 minutes. We didn't buy alcoholic drinks so I felt it was a little ridiculous. I feel bad for places with staff shortages, rude customers and busy wait times. However, the place was not even full and the wait staff didn't seem terribly understaffed. Visited on a Saturday morning. my husband ordered 'The Logger' and I ordered 'Papas y Huevos' bowl/skillet. The Logger (eggs, potatoes, stack of pancakes, bacon) was very bland/plain, overall. The potatoes were not seasoned and the stack of pancakes seemed as if they had been pre-frozen... they did not soak up the syrup very well. Papas y Huevos was very good with lots of flavor. We saw French toast at another table and it looked pretty appetizing. It felt as if this place was having an identity crisis when it comes to the decor/design. Giving Damari 5 stars for her lovely service. She welcomed me with a warm greeting. She was manning the whole house early morning mid September and did not skip a beat. For your water, they give you cute little jugs with lemon to fill up on your own. I ordered the small order of French Toast and it was more than enough to fill me up. The French toast are huge thick Texas slices and they give you two pieces of bacon. My meal was $9 which is not bad, but I wish a side of eggs and different options of meat were a choice.
