Wanting to try a new restaurant each night of my trip, I searched for spots within walking distance of my rental and came across Le Pêche Mignon.
At first glance, the place gives off classic neighborhood dive bar vibes. There was a big crowd spilling out onto the sidewalk, but I lucked out and managed to snag the last table inside. Just a heads up: the menu is accessed via QR code, so be ready to pull it up on your phone.
The food ended up being a pleasant surprise. I ordered the fish and chips along with a happy hour Cuba Libre. The portion of fish was massive--crispy on the outside and nicely cooked inside. The Cuba Libre was also on the stronger side, which I definitely appreciated.
The laid-back atmosphere, packed crowd, and steady stream of 2000s throwback music playing throughout the night made the whole experience feel lively and fun. Overall, it's a great casual spot if you're looking for good portions, strong drinks, and a buzzing neighborhood vibe. read more
