If your movie doesn't start for another hour or two. There are plenty of restaurants nearby you can chill to kill some time. Very cool that I can have some drinks then go upstairs when my movie is ready. I went here on a Thursday to see Mortal Kombat 2. The place is Clean and welcoming. The concession stand is large with multiple cashiers ready to take your order. This place has 2 Imax theaters. They are nice. The only dissapointing thing about this AMC theater is the inconsistency of stadium seating. If I am not mistaken, some auditoriums has stadium seating and some does not. Kind of like a Hybrid theater. Overall this place is cool. Within the heart of Del Amo Mall. Thursdays is my best time. It gets packed on the weekends.

If you are a Michael Jackson fan, IMAX is the ONLY way to see this film. The mix on the soundtrack of this film is superb and only IMAX will do justice to Jaafar Jackson's performance dancing like uncle Michael. Incredible. I know MJ's life was controversial but strictly as a performer and writer, his genius cannot be denied. The theatre experience was all that I could ask for. Projection and sound system were flawless. Staff was helpful. Concessions were a bit skimpy on the reduced size large popcorn since my last visit not that long ago though. Restrooms were clean and well stocked overall. Extremely pleased with this visit to Del Amo AMC.

The popcorn was also on point, perfectly fresh with that elite level of buttery goodness that makes movie theater popcorn worth the price every single time. They have four soda machines, which ended up being a small adventure because I need cherry coke at the movies. Two of the machines were out (tragic), but the third one pulled through, so crisis averted. This theater also had a very crisp and strong cherry flavor in the cola which helps this theater to rank high on my list. I was a little disappointed there was no Yoshi popcorn bucket (sold out the day before), but honestly... probably better for my wallet. Check-in itself was easy, but the scanner is placed really close to the entrance, which created a bit of a bottleneck. I walked in behind a large group, and we all ended up awkwardly shuffling and waiting right by the doorway while people tried to scan their tickets. Not a huge deal, just slightly chaotic. The two main downsides for me were the parking lot and the cleanliness. The parking lot layout is genuinely confusing--it feels like it was designed with zero logic, and I found myself second-guessing where I was even supposed to go. And when I got to my seat, it clearly hadn't been cleaned. There was popcorn all over and candy wrappers stuck in the cup holder, which... yeah. As someone who gets very bothered by sitting in other people's mess, I was pretty grossed out at first. I ended up wiping it down myself and, to be fair, once the movie started I forgot about it. But it definitely broke that illusion I like to maintain that theater seats aren't as dirty as they probably are. Like I know, logically, they're not pristine--but I prefer not to be reminded so directly Overall, still a really solid theater experience thanks to the seats, popcorn, and overall vibe, but a little more attention to cleanliness would easily make this a 5/5.

The only one that's here in this area is in Palos Verdes. Other theaters are better than the AMC chain. My chair would not reset to a seated position and stayed reclined. Loud music bumping but it wasn't disturbing. Eventually made it inside. It's very spacious. Another bar located inside. A lot of TVs and chairs. A great hangout spot for drinks and to watch some sports. Great service at the bar. Both bartenders were real cool. And the drinks were about average price for a bar with no happy hour. Paid $33 or $34 including $2 tip for a Cinépolis Old Fashioned and Mango Rita. Couldn't take pics of the room cuz they collected our phones before going inside. However, it's big with a lot of comfortable seats. And it was clean. There was popcorn already placed at every seat for the guest. There could've been better communication regarding the reserved seats. Whereas just about every seat had a sign reading "reserved". Parking is free for the first 3 hrs with validation. There are 2 machines available from what I saw. One near the front desk and entering. Then another near the bar. Parking was free for the first 3 hrs.

I was actually looking forward to going, as it was my anniversary and my partner has never been. The night started off great, but quickly went downhill as soon as we walked in the door. 2 of the ticketing machines were inoperable. But, I was able to figure it out. So, no big deal. Once we got inside the actual theater, the floor was sticky and the entire room didn't seem like it was cleaned that day. There was trash on the floor, my seat didn't fully recline, and much of the leather was pealed off on the seat. On top of that, the restrooms were just as unkempt, my reward for signing up for their membership club was unavailable, and my partner's drink was totally forgotten with the delivery of their food. I tried fixing it by looking on their website, QR code on the tray... something. But, couldn't find a reasonable way to contact anyone without leaving the theater and missing the movie. My partner also brought up a very valid point of the popcorn being served in metal bowls, that might share the same hygiene habits as the floors and seats. To which, I could neither argue nor defend, because at that point anything is possible. Overall, I felt embarrassed for suggesting we go here and always giving rave reviews, as our experience turned out to be terrible. Thankfully I have an understanding partner, or this would totally not be OK.

Sounds amazing... until you show up and it's already full... which was what happened. Our movie started at 6:00 PM, we arrived around 5:20 PM, and the garage was completely closed off -- they weren't letting anyone else in. Luckily, we found parking about 3 minutes away and paid around $5, which honestly wasn't too bad. We came here for the second part of our Valentine's date night and watched Wuthering Heights because hello... Margot Robbie is my favorite girl. I haven't been here in over 15 years and WOW -- I forgot how absolutely beautiful this theater is inside. The lobby is spacious, classy, and honestly feels kind of luxurious. There are pool tables, a full bar area downstairs, and spaces where you can hang out with drinks and good company before your movie. We headed straight into our theater and ordered food from our seats (also... water is complimentary, love that). We were seated in our own little pod -- super intimate with two seats, cozy setup, and yes... a blanket. It truly felt like rich people movie night. Shoutout to our server Jake, who was outstanding from start to finish. Great service, super attentive, and made the experience even better. Food-wise: The Boss Burger ($20.5) was a solid 8.5/10 -- hubby really enjoyed it. Although, there were no pickles or tomatoes in there even though it was in their menu. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Wrap ($17), and I'll be honest... it was the only downside of the night. It was a bit cold and tough, and the tortilla-to-filling ratio was a little off for me. I'd give it a 6/10. If the tortilla was a bit warmer I'd think it'll be able to hold onto the filling a bit better, but that was meh, for me. BUT the fries? Piping hot, crispy, and delicious. And Jake even brought us ranch, BBQ sauce, and extra ketchup without us having to ask twice. Overall, this was my husband's first time here, and it definitely won't be our last. We had such a great experience -- the ambience, service, and overall vibe were top-tier. Can't wait for our next cozy movie night here!

That said, on my most recent visit, I noticed the theater didn't feel as clean as it has in the past. The elevator carpet in particular could use a deep cleaning and had an unpleasant smell. Hoping this is just a temporary slip, because I've always enjoyed coming here and would love to see it back at its usual standard.
