DANGEROUS !!! DO NOT COME HERE!!! SLOPPY IRRESPONSIBLE WORK!! DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE. My dog came home with cuts on his face, body, and rear end after a routine grooming appointment. Not a single injury was disclosed to us when we picked him up. The only reason we found out about one of the cuts was because we noticed a powder substance on his rear and were later told it was used to stop the bleeding. Once we got home, we discovered additional cuts that had never been mentioned. We regularly have our dog shaved down and have never had a groomer injure him like this. The haircut itself was also extremely poor. His ears were uneven, the grooming was sloppy, and he looked nothing like he normally does after being professionally groomed. What is most upsetting is that instead of taking responsibility, apologizing, and showing concern for my dog's injuries, the owner denied there was a problem. When my family went back to discuss the situation and request a refund, we were met with excuses rather than accountability. Accidents can happen. Injuring a dog multiple times and failing to tell the owner is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would never trust this business with my pet again. There is a new groomer in the same plaza. "The hair of the dog". I highly recommend you take your pet there instead. Kind, friendly, HONEST, and professional he actually knows what he is doing. Won't be coming back. Ever. We've been coming for a few years, but this last time with our newest pup, I dropped him off at 10:30 like I usually do and had to keep calling, he wasn't ready until after 5:20pm (the time before it was around 3:40 and that seemed late for them). It used to only be a few hours to have your puppy ready after drop off, now they seem to keep them sitting there for hours and it just doesn't feel right. On top of that when I did get there, even after calling around 2:30 and being asked again about the cut, it was such a hack job - I asked for a low cut and a teddy bear face. It's clear the owner was doing the grooming himself and at 5:20 was just working on a golden doodle when I got there. I know it's a pet place but the smell oh the smell is horrendous in there I don't know how he sits in it, I got a headache from checking out And My mini bernadoodle doesn't even look like himself, his hair is uneven, he has little nicks that the owner told me to look out for and put acv on "people go to the vet and it's expensive bc they don't want you to know" -- (now I realize that it's bc of recent reviews of injured dogs) and then when it was time to pay he was like $100. I asked if it was bc of a low cut, since a month ago I paid $67. That time I had to go back for a refund bc I was double charged and it took several trips be there at a time when Tony was there to do the refund. So getting charged $100, $104 when I got the receipt for a bad with no explanation in the change of cost or consistency. You want to support local biz it is hard with your pup clearly sad at pickup, with a horrible cut that you have to try to salvage (after being out $104), and tend to. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT RVER GO TO THIS PET GROOMING ESTABLISHMENT. First we had submitted our pups 2 shih tzu's before 10 AM there was an older lady working on the dog and Tony the owner who took our dogs and told us they'd be done by 2 or 3 PM. We did not receive a notice to come get the dogs until almost 30 minutes before they close at 5 PM, over an hour longer than the original time stated. We did not arrive before 4:43 PM and Tony sent a text saying "I'll be waiting 10 minutes for you to come pick your dogs, if you don't show up you'll need to pick them up tomorrow for $40 each" Tony had notified us completely behind schedule over an hour of the original stated time and was now trying to $80 USD out of us with no kind of policy about an overnight extra fee. Including, his tap payment machine "closes" at 5 PM and he said the only way to retrieve the dogs was to pay $150 cash upfront in the next 10 minutes before he leaves. ABSOLUTELY INSANE. We were forced to leave our pups overnight and pick them up when they opened the next day. We go the next day and Tony the owner is there, we confront him about the "extra" $80 and that we are refusing to pay it and he immediately drops it. We are now asking for our dogs and requesting a physical receipt with payment. Tony is denying to provide a physical receipt even after My Mother had tapped her card to pay. He was INCREDIBLY rude and repeatedly refused to provide a physical written or printed receipt after multiple times of us trying to pay with tap, Tony would not let my mother pay until after he had said what he apparently needed to say, he was withholding our dogs refusing to let us pay until AFTER he got whatever point he was trying to get across. He had us removed from the store while trying to argue and still repeatedly deny to let us pay for the service. We were forced to pay with cash the $150 original balance. He would not let us into the store to pay for the service and receive our puppies which were crying excessively because they could hear our voices. Finally he let my mother into the store into pay for the horrible service by the way. He specifically requested for us to put the money in HIS HAND. He originally refused to accept the payment until it was put into his hand we did not comply and he eventually took the money. We grabbed the written receipt that apparently can only be provided when paying with cash. And grabbed our dogs but not before Tony prevented us from grabbing both dogs and forced us out the store AFTER PAYMENT and receipt in hand. Tony was now withholding one of our puppies after we had payed for the service and physically held the receipt. After more audible conflict Tony the owner of Star Barks gave us the other puppy. This was UNDOUBTEDLY THE WORST BUSINESS EXPERIENCE ME AND MY FAMILY HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I WARN ALL WHO SEE THIS DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS DOG GROOMING ESTABLISHMENT THEY WILL TRY TO EXTORT YOU FOR MORE MONEY AND HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN HISTORY!!!!!!!!! read more

For a long time I was taking my golden retriever Sammy with Shiela at Starbucks grooming in the same plaza, I have several issues there but always decided to take Sammy because she loved Shiela. The last time I took Sammy to Shiela she wasn't there however the owner of the business took her and when I picked her up Sammy was crying like I never seen her cry as soon as she saw me it wasn't over excitement once I got home I noticed a big puddle of blood and Sammy wasn't acting herself. I realized she had been badly injured when I assessed her paws I noticed the bleeding was coming from her nail. I took her to the Vet where I had a bill of $900 dollars to treat her cut and stop the bleeding as well as antibiotics the owner never told me about this happening when I contacted Starbucks the owner was well aware and apologized immediately and offered free service when I took her for her free service he had a nasty attitude and pretended to not know what I was talking about he was very rude and I refused to leave Sammy I told him I would let everyone know about his nasty behavior and he said he didn't care! While I was there he was working on a golden doodle I notice how badly he was treating the dog! Please be aware of this place I know now why my baby hated going there!! I was amazed to know there's a new spot that just opened up in the same plaza The Hair of the dog pet spa his name is Marcelo and from the moment we got there Sammy loved him and walked herself in something she never did before at Starbucks grooming! A friend recommended this place and I was skeptical because my cat is really hard to trim her nails without battle wounds of scratches and bites. None of that happened. It took her just within 10 minutes to trim my cat's nails and my cat never gave her any fuss! I'm bringing her back here again for the next trimming! I decided to look for a grooming place to get it done and she could be comfortable. As soon as I called this business, Ms. Leslie answered and I told her what I needed for Gina. I had brought in my rescue dog for his first grooming. I was nervous and so was my dog. I spoke with the groomer and wrote down specifically what I wanted, which was just a simple trim around his face and feet so I could keep his body hair at the relatively short length it was. She did not do what I had asked and his haircut was very uneven. I understand my dog was probably wiggly as he is with most things, but I also anticipated a groomer would have the tools to work with wiggly dogs, and she just didn't. I have not used this groomer. Today, Memorial Day, I was visiting an adjacent business that has a shared wall. Starbarks is closed for the holiday, the sign on the door says. Before even exiting my car, I could hear the barking and crying of an obviously stressed out dog. As I entered the adjacent shop, I could hear loud thumping music coming through the shared wall. The store owner said it was even louder in his back room. This is wrong! Did Starbucks leave that awful loud music on to cover the sound of this poor stressed dog?!? This is shameful! 4.5 Stars when Leslie is the groomer. 2 stars for the bathing/grooming service they did while Leslie was on leave. I'm sure they lost customers because of it. They increased the costs, added late fees & I left with a lecture how I need to brush her more often, all the while NOT telling me her ear was drastically cut, burn from the clippers & Im sure her nails weren't trimmed. I get it dogs can be wiggly with scissors in hand, but her ear was sliced almost in half..., and again they said nothing. I've taken her in from the streets & Leslie worked here talent/skills like magic. Leslie is the one that deserves the price increase, not the groomer that seems like they were trained by a YouTube Tutorial. Not very happpy. I took my doodle in for a haircut by this groomer. i have taken my doodle several times for an about a year and the last few times her grooming haven't been great. Today I take my doodle and she looks the same as when I took her in. The only thing is she is showered and her nails are clipped with a light clip. And then the fee was increased by 15.00 for what. And I get chewed out for not brushing her enough as others I have a reviewed in their comments. What am I taking her to you for but to be groomed because her hair has been unmanagable. I highly recommend this groomers for cats. I was super hesitant at first to take her since she had a traumatizing experience elsewhere but I decided to give this place a go. I had them apply flea treatment and a standard wash. She came home smelling and feeling so good. She walked around with this new confidence, super cute to watch. So I've been taking my Maltese here since February 2021...every 2 weeks. It was $35 with a cut and $25 no cut. GREAT DEAL for the frequency. The grooming was always good (sometimes a lil uneven but not too bad). Leslie was always the point person (always thought she was the owner). About two months ago I walk in and there was no Leslie...she was injured and wouldn't return for a while. She gets groomed and I find out the prices have gone up...no problem everything is up BUT this is where it gets wack...my 7lb dog has gone from a small dog to a medium dog...$50!!! Got my dog back with no collar and ID tag (which the gentlemen said he would pay for). It's just not the same since Leslie hasn't been around. Before they didn't press you to pick up now you have 30 minutes. What was once a great neighborhood groomer is not anymore. It was good while it lasted but if I'm going to pay $50 I'm taking her somewhere to get that amount's worth is grooming. I figured the 4/5 stars I would've given last year w/the 1/2 stars I would give now rounds out to 3 stars. read more

I am very upset, I took my 4 month old maltipoo puppy here for his first groomers trip. I dropped him off at 9 am and they said he wouldn't be ready until around 3 pm, I then came back at 3 pm and they said they hadn't gotten to him yet because they had too many dogs. They asked me to wait 30 to 40 more minutes, not even 20 minutes passed by and I got a text saying he was ready to go home. As I got home I noticed he was limping and realized his leg had a cut and he seemed to be pulled from it. I then also noticed his left eyelashes were cut completely from half of his eye.
