This restaurant is perfection located in my own little corner of the world. I have to say that I was absolutely shocked, amazed, stupefied, and ecstatic when they came to town ten (?) years ago and set up shop in the old "Patisserie" on Main. To Start, Pier's tapanade is absolutely fantastic. I don't know all the ingredients, but I have never had better. Garlic, Capers, Olives, Oil, peppers (flakes?) and more make up this wonderful concoction that they serve with Crumb Brothers Ciabatta. I love the Pasta Fagioli soup, a creamy smooth and silky blend of cannelloni beans, Al dente pasta and rosemary, seasoned to perfection and finished with a dab of olive oil and fresh rosemary. For main courses, I have tried them all. And I love them all. Some of my favorites are the Pollo con Fungi, Pollo Le Nonne, Penne alla Pera, and Beef Straticerre (sp?). Pollo con Fungi: Tenderized chicken breast, sauteed in butter, then added to a heavenly amount of mushrooms sauteed in a Marsala butter cream sauce. FANTASTIC. Not to strong, subtle, and succulent. Served with Rosemary Potatoes and Broccoli. Penne alla Pera: Penne Pasta in a light and creamy Gorgonzola cheese sauce, with fresh cubes of sauteed pears dispersed liberally throughout the dish. Another SIN on a spoon dish. Beef Stratticerre: Super thin strips of beef, sauteed and then soaked in a Gorgonzola cheese sauce, seasoned with roasted garlic and other yummy-licious secret things (I have found whole cloves of garlic hiding in my strips of beef on more than one occasion!) This is also served with roasted Rosemary Potatoes and fresh Veggies. I could go on for hours about this place, but you don't have time to read, and I don't have time to write. You really should be driving up here to eat at Le Nonne! It is well worth it. The ambiance is also great. The restaurant is in a beautiful old home that has been renovated to accommodate a restaurant and has both indoor and outdoor seating. LeNonne has lost a star from me. Owners Pier and Stephanie went to Oahu to open another restaurant and the managers now in charge have let quality slip. It started with a stale menu and items that would stay "New" for years (literally) -- along with the same "specials" every time we came. Still a fan and still enjoy several of their items (bruschetta con mozzarella and crab ravioli are ALWAYS good for instance), but the bistecchina is not always fantastic, I've had dry mahi mahi, and the pennette alla pera has been served with the pears out of season and not sweet. Still one of our favorites, but they're resting on their laurels right now and need to respond to some criticism. read more

My love of businesses in houses is well documented. This was one of the major reasons I wanted to go to Le Nonne in the first place, and they did not let me down. The atmosphere was amazing. Great decor, beautiful old squeaky wooden floor, nice colors. Even though it is located on the main floor of a house, the tables aren't crowded. Such a fun place! The food was good, too. French bread and pesto were brought to the table as we perused the menu. Super tasty, and when we ran out of bread, they brought more. We started with calamari, and enjoyed that as well. For entrees, my friend ordered chicken fettuccine and I ordered sweet potato and cheese ravioli. We both really loved these, and I would recommend either dish. I also saw the waitress bring penne pesto scampi to another table and it looked amazing; I will probably order that next time. For dessert, we both had creme brulee. We might skip this next time. They were $7 each and weren't very high quality. Overall, though, I was very happy with my experience at Le Nonne and will certainly return. This is one of the best restaurants in Logan! read more

My husband and I were given a gift certificate to this restaurant and finally used it last Friday night. The food was WONDERFUL! It's a small place, so make a reservation if you can. We had bruschheta that was very different but delicious. Then we shared a big Caesar salad that was the best I've ever had. My husband ordered the gnocchi in a gorganzola cream sauce. The portion was very large. I ordered the salmon and it, too, was good-sized. We ate off each other's plates. Dessert was Creme Brulee and Tiaramisu - both fabulous. They also provided bread and an amazing spinach spread. The music was done by a delightful guitarist who played classical guitar and we loved it! Sorry folks, but I just do not get the hype. This isn't the simple, rustic Tuscan cooking I know. Only accurate dish here is their minestrone, the rest are typical Italian dishes being done old-fashioned, by a chef focusing less on good flavor, and more on smothering everything in sauce intended as flavoring, rendering dishes one-dimensional, robbing us of the taste of the pasta and ingredients. Many of these dishes are literally swimming in sauce. It's just all wrong. Last visit my wife's ravioli dish tasted so off, she only ate one bite. My cheese gnocchi was a wet, gooey mess..others have described it correctly, like bad mac and cheese. Salads overdressed and limp. Creme brulee done cheaply. Wine list inaccurate, as they stock only some of it. Service is just as bad, long waits, servers that downright ignore you and leave you for long periods of time. You may have to hunt your server down like we did. I'm really wondering why I'm giving them 2 stars. They have live music and a nice patio, I guess those earn an extra star. read more

I've lived many years in Manhattan and San Francisco (the snob, foody capital of the world) and the food at Le Nonne rivals anything you'd find in the big "food centers" of the world - but, at 1/3 the price. While Le Nonne is high priced for Logan, you'd be paying upward of $50/person in SF, Chicago, LA, or NYC, for the same food and level of service and overall dining experience - believe me, I've lived in all those places for many years. This is my favorite place to go for a nice dinner. Everything I have ordered has been fantastic. My favorite is the Smoked Salmon Farfalle and the Bruchetta with Mozzarella cheese added. I crave it! The prices are fair for the experience and quality. Expect to pay $20-$30 per person. The service is always friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I highly suggest making a reservation. The atmosphere is adorable. It's a historic house, which is very cute but I feel has a lot to do with my complaints: 1. The entry area does not accommodate even one large party. It feels weird to walk through at the end of the night. 2. The live music is too much for the small space. 3. It is very cold in the winter, especially by the door. Sit by the fire if you can! 4. They have one single toilet. And the door is very hard to close and lock. Everytime I am here, people end up getting walked in on, myself included. So embarrassing! Fix the door! Just found a new Logan go to. I travel to Logan a lot for work and often stay over. There are not of good good options up here. Seems like a Mecca for fast food and dining chains. I am not a fan of the chain restaurants so I try to steer clear of those. That leaves the list very short otherwise. I've been coming up here for five years now and no one has told me that this place exists. I happened to drive past it in the past month and discovered a new little gem. I will frequently visit this place again! Tonight I tried it for the first time. It was delicious. I had their caprese salad and their shrimp ravioli special. The Caprese was simple and fresh. Really enjoyed the texture of the buffalo mozzarella. A good balance between pepper, olive oil, basil and their balsamic dressing. The ravioli was made with a creamy marinara which was delectable! The ravioli were cooked to perfection with a slight al dente. The ricotta and shrimp combined with the flavor of the sauce perfectly. After finishing the ravioli I needed to ask for more bread to indulge in more of that wonderful sauce. As for dessert, it was okay. I had the mousse. I was hoping for all mousse, but it had a cake layer on the bottom. I am not a fan of cake. This was light and fluffy and I'm sure if you like cake and mousse you would really enjoy it. The service was superb. Everything was prepared quickly but to perfection. I did not have to wait long for any item or degree of service. It was a Tuesday and they were pretty slow. The staff was all courteous and very polite. I will be back to try more of the menu. There were many items that really stood out to me. If you are in Logan then head off the beaten path to 100 East and check this place out. I doubt that you will regret it!! read more

My favorites are crab raviolis, salmon farfalle, and their rigatoni. Only negative is their bread is not as good as it used to be. The restaurant itself is a cozy little cottage that makes for a romantic setting. Your average plate is going to be around $12-$20. Super find in Logan. Our girl was friendly, gave suggestions and was really attentive. Started with the caprese salad and lobster bisque. Perfection. I tried the pesto gnocchi - great flavor! And such a large portion. I could barely finish half of it. My dad had the king crab ravioli....wow!! It is AMAZING. Loved all the food. We were a little shocked at the price of the lobster bisque as a starter, it was the most expensive item we ordered by far. But overall, can't complain, everything was so delicious.
