Came here with wife's family while visiting Utah. I guess this is one of those place that's been here forever and locals like it. I do appreciate the simple menu with no crazy amount of choices and staffs were friendly. Ordered pepperoni Calzone but swapped out the black olive for spinach. Orders the lunch special but since it was dinner it was extra $1. Why it's extra $1 just because it was after 5 pm is beyond me. Also ordered the baked pasta Alfredo. The garlic bread came out pretty quick along with salad. Salad looked pretty pale and dull but the ranch dressing was pretty good. Garlic bread looked pretty good but taste was just OK. Wish they would have toasted the bread little longer. My Calzone came out eventually, and I knew it was going to take extra time. Calzone tasted pretty good but I expected to be little bit bigger. My dish did come with side of marinara sauce. I tried to put little bit of the marinara sauce on my Calzone and I was surprised to taste the cold marinara sauce. I hate when you ask for extra sauce and they give it to you yiu cold. After going up to the front and asking I was eventually brought a warm marinara sauce. But by then I pretty much done with my Calzone. Tasted the garlic bread but it looks better than the taste. I don't think the toast was toasted enough. Oh not to mention 6 inch piazza with dinner combo was tiny.. Dough seemed too thick for the pizza and I think the Calzone tasted little better IMO. Over all this place was not horrible but I definitely would not be coming back anytime soon. read more

Walked in, smelled like Chuck E. Cheese, and I knew that this was going to be absolutely horrid. I paid around $35 for a tiny preheated pizza with 2 soggy salads, 2 nasty soggy garlic breads, and fountain drinks?? Hello?? What world do I live in? The "dough" was cardboard and the salad literally was wet. Wet. Like they soaked it in water or something. Very odd. By the way, the salad was literally a bagged salad. What a rip off. We picked up our order to go. They make it easy. You can either order online or call your order in. Everything was ready to go right when we arrived. They have a pick up counter separate from the regular ordering counter if you are dining in. Which makes it nice so you don't have to wait. The pizza is hand tossed. This is a 60 year-old recipe and it is a classic. It's a thinner crust, but it's chewy and not crispy. Our pepperoni pizza was amazing. However, the combination pizza that we ordered the crust wasn't cooked because there were too many ingredients piled onto the crust and it just made for a hard pizza to hold We also tried one of the pastas. The pasta was good however there wasn't a lot of sausage in it. It was just placed on top and not throughout. We did get several of their classic salads. These are not salads that are fancy. They come with ham, cheese and pickled beets. We picked up one with ham, and one with the full works of ham, cheese, and pickled beets. They have several options for salad dressings. We always love their salads and they did not disappoint. They have plenty of seating, including seating for large parties and what they call their boiler room. They have patio seating and they just opened up a new seating area that is behind the main room to accommodate more patrons. This is a 60 year-old establishment that caters to locals who have grown-up going there and enjoy the nostalgia. The food comes out hot and quickly. One of the favorites we also enjoyed is their garlic bread, which is made fresh for you right when you order. All pizzas are made to order. If you like vegetarian, you can do simply a vegetarian style on your pizza. Or they have the salad option. They do have sodas to drink and water. The staff is really friendly. read more

Great food and great curbside pickup service. I will definitely be coming back for curbside pickup. I ordered our food online and it was ready when I arrived in the pickup area. The food was fresh and hot when I received it. The food was so delicious! I have been getting lunch specials and garlic bread here for over thirty years. My mom has been coming here since she was in high school for the garlic bread. My mom and I got our usual, lunch specials without salads and extra garlic bread. The lunch special is a personal one topping pizza, slice of garlic bread, and salad ( or no salad and sub for an extra slice of garlic bread). The garlic bread was super soft and buttery. My cheese pizza was cheesy and her ham pizza had tons of shredded/chopped ham. Their ham here is so good!!!! They do not skimp on the ham. I highly recommend the lunch special. I used to absolutely love this place, unfortunately it has become utterly subpar. My go to has always been the salad and garlic bread and it is nothing like it used to be. The amount of cheese and ham ratio to iceberg has become quite dismal. The last time I ordered I paid for extra sides of ham and cheese to compensate (alas I did not receive extra). I have heard so many things about Fredricos pizza! It is right off the canyon road in Logan utah- next to the university. A hidden gem if you ask me! I asked around to see what people suggest & I got lots of comments on the 'ham & cheese salad'. I decided to get the lunch special- even though it was dinner, you just pay a few dollars extra. I upgraded to the ham & cheese salad and a pepperoni pizza (not pictured...I was too hungry and couldn't wait to snap a pic when it it came out) The salad was huuuge and the pizza was a little personal size 4 slice. Over all I liked the food. The parking is a mess though- there are lots of people coming and going and not a lot of room to park. Service was good- you wait in line to order and then seat yourself. The employees are so friendly and are very good at their jobs! I came in with my family during a busy time, so the wait was a little bit longer, but i could not have been more satisfied with the service and food! The food was a little bit on the pricey side for me, but it was worth the extra cost to be served by such lovely people! This Logan USU institution held a touch of nostalgia for me (though not like The Factory) so as my son starts a new generation as an Aggie we stopped in for lunch after helping him move in because he had heard other students on the tours talk about it, too. The lunch special -- one topping mini personal pizza with salad and garlic bread wasn't inedible, but a watery salad mix, no croutons or cheese, with two slices of pickled beets in a cup, with a grocery store Boboli-level docked crust for the skimpy-topped pizza wasn't much to warm the heart of memories. The calzone that my son chose was higher quality, though we've still had far better elsewhere. Overall I'm not sure why, for the cost and the 'Aggie tradition' that Fredrico's is, it's as mediocre as it is. Maybe it always was. 2.5 stars. read more

College town meets pizza joint. This seems to be a popular local hangout for both students and families alike. While not the finest pizza I've had, it was decent. We ordered the meal for three and each got a salad with a very generous dose of ranch dressing (ask for it in the side) and garlic bread with equally excessive butter. Those came out fairly quickly-five minutes or so. Unfortunately, our medium, two-topping pizza took closer to 40 minutes to be delivered. By the time it arrived, we were full from picking off toppings and eating the rejected crust from our nieces and nephews, who had ordered individual pies. Decided to "support the small business" and do an online order thinking that would make it easy. Ham and cheese salad- light on the ham and NO beets And the garlic bread that goes with it. $7.29 Baked pasta marinara with a garlic bread $7.29 The pasta was AWFUL, dominos does 100% better than this I would never purchase it again or suggest someone get it! I loved it as a USU student and many years later I still love it. I don't get to Logan often but when I do this is where I like to eat. The Ham and Cheese salad cannot be recreated. Believe me I have tried many times. The best dressing in my mind is Thousand Island. Their Thousand Island also has some secret recipe that I cannot find anywhere else. I took my husband there for his first time. He didn't trust my Ham and Cheese salad recommendation so he had a Calzone which was very delicious. Me and my family love this place, I'm a very picky person so I don't like the toppings, where my boyfriend and son love all the different tops, it good food for a decent price and I love that we can all have our own pizzas, we usually all get the lunch special which comes with a 6" pizza, tossed green salad, garlic bread, and a drink for such a good price! We love coming there, with COVID there is not that many places to sit is the down fall but it is very clean and in my opinion worth going! I highly recommend going if you want to try something new. I have nostalgic feelings towards Fredrico's Pizza from the 90s and early 2000s. Unfortunately anytime after that I have tried to visit, not even at peak lunch or dinner times, and they are backed up. Frequently I have have left after waiting in line and been saddened that I could not have the goodness of their pizza and their ham salads with beets plus garlic bread. I give only 2 out of 5 stars due to lack of employee attention and managing skills to work through the packed house they can attract. Go anywhere but here. The service is crap, the food is sub par and the dishes are dirty. Went with some friends from out of town who had heard about "iconic" Fredrico's. They ordered their food at 12:55 and half the order was delivered 30 minutes later. I ordered my food at 1:18 and finally at 1:50 I went in to find out what happened to both orders. My order (a small 6" pizza) was wrong. They did the wrong sauce and my daughter couldn't even eat it the pizza was so gross. My friends order they said they had to remake the pizza because it had a big bubble on it. I told them it doesn't take and hour to make two pizzas. They shrugged and said they were busy. But they could have told us what was going on or at least showed something besides indifference. I asked for the pizza in a box so we could leave, it took another 5 minutes to box and they shoved a large pizza in a medium sized box- forcing it to fit. Our cups had gross white food stuck to the sides, that we noticed after drinking. But hey! They were so generous and tried to offer us a coupon. I told them my friends were from out of town and that even though I lived here- I didn't want it. There are so many other choices with better food and service in Cache Valley. My mom introduced me to this place and I've loved it ever since. It's pretty pricey but that's never bothered me plus it's worth it in my opinion. People will tell you that they go to Fredrico's because of the food, more specifically the ham salads, but they really go there because of nostalgia. The food is average at best, the wait time in line and to get a table is atrocious, but the locals keep going back because they have been going there since they were children. Also, it is close to the Utah State campus and students flock there. The pizza is ok, no special toppings or ways to make it. It's just pizza. Thin crust, red sauce, throw some processed pig on there and away you go. The salads are decent, but the only real draw is the combination of the flavor of the ranch, ham, and the iceberg, which is good. Other than that, the salads are very boring and plain. Iceberg is the last type of lettuce I want on a salad because it is so bland, but they make it work by drowning it in ham. While I have been back to Fredrico's many times over the years, it is because I married into a Cache valley family, not because it is worthy of my dollar. read more
