The village itself is incredibly charming, and the restaurant feels completely integrated into its stone lanes and hillside setting. I had never been anywhere quite like it. Admittedly, I cannot remember exactly what I ate, but the meal was rich, elaborate, and left me ridiculously full. I do remember a salt-crusted fish special priced at roughly €300, which captured the scale of the experience. This is classic luxury French dining in one of the most beautiful settings imaginable. Beyond the meal, the entire visit felt special because the restaurant, hotel, and village all seemed connected. Walking through the old stone streets before dinner made arriving there feel like part of the experience. It remains one of the most memorable places I have ever eaten.

We were told that they would try to honor the early check-in upon availability and the room upgrade. We were told that they would call us when the room was ready. Waited until 3PM and had to go to the front desk again to see if the room was ready, it was and no upgrade. My husband was taking a nap due to the jet lag, and we put a do not disturb sign on our door. The front desk called us and woke him up anyways, saying that they saw the "do not disturb" sign but wanted to see if housekeeping could clean now. We found housekeeping staff to be rude as well. Now onto the worst service on property, which was valet. Not only are they unhappy to help you, but they called a taxi for us and forgot to load our luggage. We arrived to the Nice airport without our bag. The only silver lining here was breakfast, which was delicious and accompanied by a beautiful view. We can't recommend this hotel.

They gave us a good seat upfront by the rail. We actually could have moved even closer towards the ocean, but were just too tired after the hike. My wife got a coke and I got a glass of wine. They gave us some snacks, see pictures. Limited foods in the bar seating area. We had to go downstairs to get the Michelin Star food. But we were just not that hungry, so we passed on lunch. We did watch the people below us eat. :) Beautiful plating and entrees, my pictures will not do it justice. Ambiance - Beautiful views. Both indoors and outdoors. Indoors had beautiful upscale decor. Clean restrooms with two outside sinks, thank you. Service - So professional and welcoming, not just to us but everyone here. We watched the team take care of all the customers that were coming in and out. Price - 23 Euros. $27US. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 2003.

Service was excellent and everyone was extremely polite. They started us off with an amuse bouche which was a delicious spoonful of a very light and airy cream with a jelly on top and lightly cooked celery to add some crunch. An amazing bite! I had the codfish which was overall pretty good. Many different sauces and complex flavors to go together (maybe too many??) The persimmon dessert was also quite good. Some ice cream that was extremely light and not too sweet and a creamy cake to go with it. All in all, an enjoyable lunch with a great view

While staying in Nice, France, my husband surprised me with a driver and reservations at Les Remparts at the Château de la Chèvre d'Or for lunch. The grounds are incredible and out of a movie. They have quite a wine selection and we selected a nice Rose. we started with the Poichichade à l'huile de basilic (Riviera Style hummus) and Gambas en tempura, yaourt aux poivrons (king prawns). Both were delicious but I really enjoyed the prawns. They were huge and crunchy. I had the Dauradeen filet, poireau rôti au feu de bois, câpres et citron (sea brim) as my entree. The fish was fresh and the sauce perfectly complimented the dish. My husband enjoyed Poulpe rôti,tomate à la niçoise, eau de tomate épicée (roasted octopus). It was not a combination he had ever tried and really enjoyed it. When you walk to your seat you will pass a large case full of beautiful desserts. I chose the fig pastry and my husband chose the chocolate mousse. Both we indulgent yet not too sweet. The perfect ending to a perfect lunch. The service was attentive but not overwhelming. In addition we were not rushed through our meal. If you ever get the chance to visit Nice, look into visiting the seaside town of Eze and an treat yourself to a memorable meal by the sea.

Our French is limited and we wandered into the patio towards a table as we tried to get the Server's attention. Just as we sat down, the extremely rude and nasty Server berated us. As we quickly attempted to apologize for our mistake he continued to mistreat us and speak with such hostility that we insisted we would leave because how dare he speak to us like that! It was an honest mistake on our part which we tried to apologize for but he insisted 'how dare we seat ourselves'. Our son-in-law is a Chef, one town over and he was appalled at how we were treated. We understood immediately we had made a mistake but to be spoken to with such ignorance and malice was uncalled for. He was just rude so we happily left and took our patronage over to Eze. This Person/Maitre di was Ignorant, Arrogant and had no class at all. We will be sure to tell anyone and everyone else we know not to go here, including those our son-in-law and daughter know as well since they are locals!!

It happened to be happy hour so I was able to take advantage of some great drink deals. For my dinner, I ordered the duck with vegetables, potatoes, and added a side of ratatouille. Plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. One unisex toilet. Service - Welcoming. Made online reservations, but because we are NOT tech savvy, it booked the wrong time.
