Super attentive, quick, and friendly. We had drinks to celebrate a proposal and they also brought out some on the house champagne. For dinner, we actually split the blue lobster pasta. It was more than plenty for 2 people. Absolutely delicious. They bring the lobster and pasta out to mix together in front of you and ugh I am still thinking about that dish to this day. Its a hike to get up to this point. Once you reach the gated area, no cars can reach the top. Well worth the challenge to get up and it's such a unique experience. The walk up is all along the hillside and through the little mountain shops. 100% felt like I was in a movie and would love to come back to stay at the hotel. I don't think they couldn't created a better experience here between the food, menu, view, and service... I wouldn't change a thing.

They started us off with an amuse bouche which was a delicious spoonful of a very light and airy cream with a jelly on top and lightly cooked celery to add some crunch. An amazing bite! I had the codfish which was overall pretty good. Many different sauces and complex flavors to go together (maybe too many??) The persimmon dessert was also quite good. The restaurant has a humble exterior (largely blocked by gelato customers), but once you descend the stairs into the dining area you are in a sheek, romantic, cellar. Intimately small but comfortable. The walls are lined with stone and endless wine bottles. The starters were all quite good. We had the snails, squid, and cheese plait. As a bonus, my waitress recommended an excellent wine to pair with the squid. It was spot on. My group shared the beef and tartafelle (forgive my spelling). The beef was succulent, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I had no idea what to expect with the second dish but it was delicious and I would certainly order again. The prior night, I had the bakes camembert when eating solo. The dish is exactly as described. It's tasty, but I'd recommend it for a group since eating an entire block of melted cheese solo is challenging. Last but not least, the wait staff were wonderful! We really enjoyed chatting with our 2 waitresses, who went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and our election of drinks. As a tourist, you really hope to stumble on a gem like this were the locals charm you and really guide your dining experience. If ever back in Nice, i'll certainly go again!

They have quite a wine selection and we selected a nice Rose. we started with the Poichichade à l'huile de basilic (Riviera Style hummus) and Gambas en tempura, yaourt aux poivrons (king prawns). Both were delicious but I really enjoyed the prawns. They were huge and crunchy. I had the Dauradeen filet, poireau rôti au feu de bois, câpres et citron (sea brim) as my entree. The fish was fresh and the sauce perfectly complimented the dish. My husband enjoyed Poulpe rôti,tomate à la niçoise, eau de tomate épicée (roasted octopus). It was not a combination he had ever tried and really enjoyed it. When you walk to your seat you will pass a large case full of beautiful desserts. I chose the fig pastry and my husband chose the chocolate mousse. Both we indulgent yet not too sweet. The perfect ending to a perfect lunch. The service was attentive but not overwhelming. They weren't traditional pizzas but more like a flatbread or bruschetta style serving. Overall, not a ton of options in Eze but this did the job. It was an honest mistake on our part which we tried to apologize for but he insisted 'how dare we seat ourselves'. Our son-in-law is a Chef, one town over and he was appalled at how we were treated. We understood immediately we had made a mistake but to be spoken to with such ignorance and malice was uncalled for. He was just rude so we happily left and took our patronage over to Eze. This Person/Maitre di was Ignorant, Arrogant and had no class at all. We waited a few minutes while they prepped our table and we were seated promptly. The vibe was cool, very French cafe feeling on the streets. The waiters were kind and attentive was you settled in. They patiently answered all our menu questions. We ordered the fois gras (because when in France), the duck and the octopus. All the food was excellent, the fois gras was perfect (although probably wouldn't order it again for ethical reasons). The octopus was absolutely perfect, very very easy to screw up, but they nailed it; every bit melting in our mouths. The duck breast was perfect, juicy and cooked to perfect.
