We were lucky and got a table on a whim later Sunday evening. After being seated on the patio at high top table, we actually gasped seeing the view. It's UNREAL. For the entire dinner, it's almost distracting to just keep staring out at the mountains, water and yachts looming down below. Gorgeous. The service matches the hotels 5-star expectations. Super attentive, quick, and friendly. We had drinks to celebrate a proposal and they also brought out some on the house champagne. For dinner, we actually split the blue lobster pasta. It was more than plenty for 2 people. Absolutely delicious. They bring the lobster and pasta out to mix together in front of you and ugh I am still thinking about that dish to this day. Its a hike to get up to this point. Once you reach the gated area, no cars can reach the top. Well worth the challenge to get up and it's such a unique experience. The walk up is all along the hillside and through the little mountain shops. 100% felt like I was in a movie and would love to come back to stay at the hotel. I don't think they couldn't created a better experience here between the food, menu, view, and service... I wouldn't change a thing.

We only grabbed drinks here. The hotel restaurant is located in Eze Village on the hilltop. There…read moreis indoor or outdoor seating. The view outside is beautiful. It can get windy and chilly so ask for a blanket which they will kindly provide. Service was phenomenal. Highly recommend. Tip: when you leave the restaurant, stop by the bathroom across the hall in the hotel lobby. It's white marble and plays opera music...reminds you from the scene of The Shining.

I came here 2 nights in a row. First solo, and then with friends because I'd enjoyed it so much…read more Firstly, the atmosphere is lovely. The restaurant has a humble exterior (largely blocked by gelato customers), but once you descend the stairs into the dining area you are in a sheek, romantic, cellar. Intimately small but comfortable. The walls are lined with stone and endless wine bottles. The starters were all quite good. We had the snails, squid, and cheese plait. As a bonus, my waitress recommended an excellent wine to pair with the squid. It was spot on. My group shared the beef and tartafelle (forgive my spelling). The beef was succulent, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I had no idea what to expect with the second dish but it was delicious and I would certainly order again. The prior night, I had the bakes camembert when eating solo. The dish is exactly as described. It's tasty, but I'd recommend it for a group since eating an entire block of melted cheese solo is challenging. Last but not least, the wait staff were wonderful! We really enjoyed chatting with our 2 waitresses, who went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and our election of drinks. As a tourist, you really hope to stumble on a gem like this were the locals charm you and really guide your dining experience. If ever back in Nice, i'll certainly go again!

Also note there is no cell service or WiFi service in the restaurant. Nice ambiance in the restaurant and away from the hustle and bustle of Nice. We ordered the squid, Foie Gras and Filet Mignon. All 3 were very good though I am not a fan of the Fois Gras but it came with a nice salad and bread. The squid was seasoned well and cut thin and flash fried. The filet was sliced and cooked perfect The potatoes were great and also nice salad came with it. Service was ok. Prices Moderate.

We had the most enjoyable morning touring the monument…read more Hoped to have a nice lunch after but turns out our Canadian naïveté led us here. Our French is limited and we wandered into the patio towards a table as we tried to get the Server's attention. Just as we sat down, the extremely rude and nasty Server berated us. As we quickly attempted to apologize for our mistake he continued to mistreat us and speak with such hostility that we insisted we would leave because how dare he speak to us like that! It was an honest mistake on our part which we tried to apologize for but he insisted 'how dare we seat ourselves'. Our son-in-law is a Chef, one town over and he was appalled at how we were treated. We understood immediately we had made a mistake but to be spoken to with such ignorance and malice was uncalled for. He was just rude so we happily left and took our patronage over to Eze. This Person/Maitre di was Ignorant, Arrogant and had no class at all. We will be sure to tell anyone and everyone else we know not to go here, including those our son-in-law and daughter know as well since they are locals!!

Naturally, they have a very nice outdoor seating set up, but we dined inside to give ourselves a much needed break from second hand smoke. My mother and I split a fresh and in every way delightful salad niçoise and my dad had the steak tartar. It was a steak tartar which he referred back to for the entire trip, the one that every following tartar was held up against and failed to compare to. The baguette basket they brought with the food was very precious. Springy, soft and crusty pieces of freshly baked baguette. Probably from the amazing boulangerie across the street. We grew quite fond of our waiter through the course of the meal. A jovial and friendly redhead. At the end of the meal, he helped us understand how to tip in Europe, and explained it in a completely unbiased manner.

Great meal in France!…read more This was a fantastic first dinner in Nice right off the main drag. We had reservation for 7pm and arrived a few minutes early. We waited a few minutes while they prepped our table and we were seated promptly. The vibe was cool, very French cafe feeling on the streets. The waiters were kind and attentive was you settled in. They patiently answered all our menu questions. We ordered the fois gras (because when in France), the duck and the octopus. All the food was excellent, the fois gras was perfect (although probably wouldn't order it again for ethical reasons). The octopus was absolutely perfect, very very easy to screw up, but they nailed it; every bit melting in our mouths. The duck breast was perfect, juicy and cooked to perfect. All the dishes were served with plenty of accompaniment. Great meal for a great French experience. Would highly recommend.

Maybe not fair for them, but on our previous night, the previous chicken dinner was 5 stars for her. I got the beef stew over gnocchi. Not bad, but even for a light eater, it was NOT enough food for me?!?! Got a glass of Bordeaux which was good, until I noticed the locals got twice as generous of a pour?!? The second time I noticed this while dining out... Happy for them, but to see the inconsistency affects me... Ambiance - Small local business/restaurant. Prime tourist location/area. Plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. One unisex toilet. Service - Welcoming. Made online reservations, but because we are NOT tech savvy, it booked the wrong time. So since we were in the area, we just walked by and asked them to change the time and had no problems. Price - 49 Euros, $57 USD. Expensive for what we got IMO. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success.
