This was a weird experience for me. I expected to love it from the time I looked at the menu and website to the moment I sat down at the table, and up until the moment the food passed my lips. I just honestly thought the food was completely mediocre and overpriced.
The restaurant itself is lovely and the open kitchen gives off a great vibe. The server was friendly and helpful too. Reservations are needed as the place filled up immediately upon opening (though there were a couple of walkouts as well as bar tables so you can probably snag a seat as a walk-in on most nights).
For the food - the included bread was the highlight. It was excellent and served as needed. The mussels were tiny (about the size of my finger nails) and, like all the portion sizes here, small in serving. While the broth was tasty, I'd expect to spend about 8 euros on this dish but it was twice that price. The zucchini was overwhelmed with spice and hard to eat and equally overcharged. The tartare had a very thick chop and presented more like grocery store ground beef than a refined restaurant dish. Also, it was covered in so much lemon rind I could barely taste anything else. I'd say the cheese plate was the only thing ordered that I felt was of a decent portion. We were recommended to order 2 dishes per person and for that we spent about 80 euros with our two glasses of wine. We then spent 20 more euros to eat more food after we left because we were still hungry. read more
