This is a good addition to this area as it gives me a reason to pick up something on my Costco trips. I am familiar with their downtown location as its popular with friends for brunch when one could dine in! I kind of know what to expect here from their baked goods. Though they didn't have a few items that they sourced out at downtown. Decent stuff. Now comes why oh why can't Toronto get Kougin Amman right? This one was like a doughnut and not recommended. I picked up some goodies to drop off at friends and the cookie went despite the high price tag. Give them a visit if you are in this area.

Seriously the best cookies in Toronto! Honestly, I'm not one to buy cookies since they're easy to make at home but I really can't replicate Le Gourmand's perfection. The cookies themselves are HUGE and they are perfectly crunchy on the outside and filled with ooey gooey goodness on the inside. My favourite is obviously the chocolate chip but I like the white chocolate macadamia nut too So glad that they have a location in Etobicoke, driving to the Spadina location can be quite hectic. This box of cookies lasted me and my family less than a week cause they're just irresistible!!

As Ontario is currently on emergency lock down it's hard to explore. Cute, small hidden gem on Lakeshore. I love supporting small businesses during these hard time. With the pandemic being in effect the shop had a window to order from outside. Covid restrictions were also in consideration. I was craving for cookies and came across this bakery. OH MY GOD! There pistachio danishes are sooo GOOD! Perfect amount of sweetness, crispy, soft and chewy. The chocolate chip cookie was delicious! It was exactly how I like my cookies. Crispy on the outside and ooey gooey in the inside. I am so pleased with the baked goods and customer service. I ordered the ice chai latte with macadamia milk. (I've never had macadamia milk with chai before so the cashier asked if I would like to have a taste of the milk before ordering it) it was delicious. Had a subtle sweetness. I would definitely come back!

This section of lake shore could really use quality shops like this one. Truthfully the area still feels about 5/10 years away from, something... currently too many terrible no name dollar stores, dying biway, mediocre or bad bars and lacklustre restaurants. Gourmand has excellent coffee, nice watermelon juice, and the baguette very good. Also good staff. One day Kipling to Islington on lake shore will be decent, better... stuff like this helps a lot.

The best cookies, my personal preference is the Chocolate Walnut. Also they have delicious cakes.

The best chocolate chip cookie ever!

The pastries and mochi breads are absolutely exquisite! I tried the black sesame mochi bread--light, pillowy, and filled with a delightful little white mochi surprise. The crème brûlée almond tart was incredible too, with its thick, eggy custard and a blueberry-almond center. And the Hitotoki matcha tart? Gorgeous and just perfect. It was my first visit, and I discovered the bakery through their 2nd-anniversary IG post. I bought about $20 worth of treats and got to spin their prize wheel--and I actually won the Grand Prize: a limited-edition gold Nespresso & milk frother kit! I literally jumped for joy. Yet another reason to love this incredible bakery!

It was okay. Tried three items:…read more Matcha Lava Tart - The staff said this had the strongest matcha flavour among their matcha items. But there was no "lava" at all... just a layer of cream sitting on a thick tart base. You do get some matcha flavour, but definitely not that rich and flowing matcha sauce I saw in those online reels. Matcha Mont Blanc - Too sweet. The green noodle-shaped topping is actually made from a kind of bean paste - not much matcha taste, but had a strong bean flavour instead. And again, it was too sweet to my liking. Taro Tart - This one was good. Taro-flavoured cream on top, with taro paste underneath, then a layer of custard with mochi at the bottom. Had a rich taro flavour. Still a bit sweet, but not as overwhelming as the Mont Blanc. Overall it was not bad, although TBH I haven't really found great matcha desserts in Toronto so far.

My wife always judges a French Cafe by their Butter Croissant ($3.00) and she liked it! She also noticed all the  staff speak French sp it gives it even more legitimacy.  She also ordered a Flat White ($4.50) which was also good. I ordered a Plum Almond Tart ($7.25) because it was the prettiest. It was super delicious so it was definitely a good choice! Service was courteous and friendly. You place your order at the counter and bring it to your table. Someone will come around to clear the dishes when you are done It is a great place to have a nice casual time eating and socializing. They make all their food in-house in the basement. There are products for sale such as coffee beans, fruit syrup, maple syrup, smoked sauces, olive oil, scented soap, wine glassware, etc. I will definitely come back again to try other items. There is free WiFi. The neo-bisto is not wheelchair accessible since there are stairs leading up to the entrance. There are two gender-neutral washrooms. There is free street parking on their one-way south-bound street. Review 2023-017

Hopped on my bike and a half hour later I was there. The friendly staff helped me by answering my question regarding eggs and which items did not have any in the recipes. This place was also super poppin' when I got there. It was earlish in the day around 10:30am and it seemed all the tables were pretty much taken. They are adding a dinner menu which is very exciting. Their pastries are phenomenal!!! Picked up a plum and pistachio tart, a chocolate mousse cake and an apple Danish for my mom. Plus a chocolate caramelized croissant. So much butter, and yet so good. Brought my container, which they happily used. The last time I visited this spot back in 2022, I vowed I would come back and take up space in that beautiful bay window seat. Yet I haven't followed through with that yet. One day. They also changed the name, since I was there last it was called Le Conciliabule Lab. Le Conciliabule means, "speak easy", as their website says. It was used back in the day to describe a place where people would come together and talk about everything and nothing. I can definitely say that happens here. What a beautiful concept, "everything and nothing". Now named Bisou, which means kiss. That's actually really simple and sweet. Since every pastry and any food item or beverage enjoyed here is a kiss for your tastebuds. Love it. Keep going team. You are amazing!
