Our French is limited and we wandered into the patio towards a table as we tried to get the Server's attention. Just as we sat down, the extremely rude and nasty Server berated us. As we quickly attempted to apologize for our mistake he continued to mistreat us and speak with such hostility that we insisted we would leave because how dare he speak to us like that! It was an honest mistake on our part which we tried to apologize for but he insisted 'how dare we seat ourselves'. Our son-in-law is a Chef, one town over and he was appalled at how we were treated. We understood immediately we had made a mistake but to be spoken to with such ignorance and malice was uncalled for. He was just rude so we happily left and took our patronage over to Eze. This Person/Maitre di was Ignorant, Arrogant and had no class at all. We will be sure to tell anyone and everyone else we know not to go here, including those our son-in-law and daughter know as well since they are locals!!

I really wanted to try the Salade Niçois while in Nice, so I found this place on yelp seeing that they had it on their menu. It absolutely blew me away!!! It was practically the best meal I've ever eaten. My boyfriend had the white fish with risotto, which was incredible as well! The risotto was particularly special, sooo creamy and delicious. For dessert, we had the creme brûlée and the profiteroles (which is like a giant fried ice cream dish!), and both desserts were delicious as well. We both had a glass of rose, our entrees, and desserts, and the total bill was less than €60, which I thought was really reasonable for as good as it was! This is the type of place that I'll be dreaming about for the rest of my life, LOL.

I had the lamb with mashed potatoes and my friend had baked ziti. Oh mine! It was the best food we tasted in Nice. You could taste the freshness of the food made from scratch. With a bottle of wine to go with our meal, the price did not set us back at all. We were surprisingly pleased. The Wait staff were courteous as well. Engaging with us in English which was appreciated. Trust me, you would not receive such services anywhere in Paris. Thank you for a lovely first meal in Nice. If we ever visit again, which we will, I would stop by again.

Good atmosphere, from the arrival with offered apéritif (punch) in a small dedicated space then. After that you will sit at your table. If you come here you have to eat a fondue that is the speciality. I enjoy the Bacchus fondue where the meat is cooked in red wine sauce, what gives a very good taste. If you don't like fondue you can eat other things but I don't know if it's really good. Correct prices 13EUR on average. Do not take dessert, between the tiramisu and the crème brûlée it was not really a success! We finish the meal on the offered liqueur, it's a pity that it is water-down... And at the end by going out we still remember our meal thanks to the magnificent smell incrusted in clothes... Good points : originality, atmosphere, fondues Bad points : desserts, smells

My friend spent hours on the phone rearranging flight, room accommodations and so forth and would have forgotten to eat if I hadn't suggested we get out of the apartment and go find something. It was midnight and Paneolio was conveniently located a few steps from our apartment, so we got a couple slices of pizza and my initial thought was to take them to go but then the friendly gentleman behind the counter said... "and what to drink?" A drink sounded like just the thing. So, I took his suggestion of gin and tonics his way and made with his favorite gin, Monkey 47 - Schwarzwald dry gin, from Germany... which I had never heard of before. I watched as he burnt a rosemary sprig and tucked it under the glasses until they filled with smoke, then he turned them over and mixed the gin and some Fever Tree tonic. It was all delicious and just what we needed after a stressful evening.
