    Coffee dessert
    Elaine F.

Best dessert I've had in over 20 years! It was a deconstructed Mille feiulle with dark cherries! My daughter had a desert which was a little espresso and an arrangement of desserts which perfectly complimented the coffee theme. My husband had a rhubarb and Fig tarte! Definitely come here when in the neighborhood! Drinks are superb, too!

    Cappuccino in the morning!

Nice place to get some sun in the morning. I wouldn't say it is a hip place where most people are. However it is a fantastic little shop to get your coffee.

    Coq au vin (delicious!!)

We were looking for a place to have dinner and Le Central was a block away from our hotel. There's indoor and outdoor seating but we sat inside because it was cold. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and recommended the coq au vin for me since I wanted a chicken dish. We got 3 dishes total: coq au vin, bacon/mushroom pasta and french onion soup. All of it was delicious! I love coq au vin and this was the best I've ever had. It came with a side of plain pasta and tasted amazing in the sauce. The chicken was falling off the bone and I could taste the wine; it was aromatic and flavorful. I loved how the food wasn't greasy and all the ingredients were fresh. Service was excellent and everything came out pretty fast. I highly recommend Le Central if you want good food in a low key setting.

happy hour mojito -- with fruit marshmallows

This place was a fine choice for a quick dinner close to my hotel. It wasn't amazing but it was easy, the waitress was very nice and they have a good happy hour. For 24 euro I had the chicken risotto with mushrooms which is actually risotto with chicken on top, a happy hour mojito and a glass of Sancerre. Not bad.

    Mojitos fix everything

Lovely place on a bustling paris street. Sitting outside watching the world go by with a mojito in my hand and a burger in my face! Happy hour on cocktails from 5 o'clock til 8 o'clock mojitos are lush and the long island ice tea that i spotted at the table across from us looks amazing. My burger was so full of flavour and cooked just right. Waitress was very attentive and polite. Great little spot! Reasonably priced for what we ate and drank!

    Cool vibe & great music

I came here before a meeting while I was travelling and decided to visit because it was recommended by the hotel staff. The place did not disappoint. The decor walking in, I felt like I was in a fairytale or a castle. I ordered a coffee, which came in a very pretty coffee cut. I'm a big visual eater so I love fancy glassware. The food, I ordered a croque monsieur. The dish was SO BEAUTIFUL. The ham and cheese were rolled up in a bread and it was twisted together like a roll. Then, the egg was light and fluffy, cooked in the shape of a dome. The dish looked like a piece of art. It reminded me of Moscow cathedrals, with the eggs acting as domes and the main tower body made up of the croque monsieur. There was also a a side salad, which was served in a very pretty Russian dish. I loved the decor and the creativity of the food-it's the perfect fusion of French food with a Russian twist. I will definitely be back.

It's rather small and the service could have been better. We did however enjoy our lovely pastries and tea and make a move for the shops!

It's not often that your unplanned second choice for you and seven friends works out, but in this case it did. The food was delicious and came out fairly quickly (I had a sweet potato duck parmentier) and the interior is spacious and beautifully designed. I went on our last day before our 2nd lockdown here in France and hope that they can make it so I can come back and enjoy it again when we are once again permitted to live our lives without governmental interference.

So when I walked by this new cafe with high ceilings, love seats, zinc bar and lots, and lots of empty seats I headed straight in and asked the million dollar question: do you have wifi? The answer was a resounding yes from the super sweet staff and so I settled in, sorted out my cables, notebook and laptop and got quickly to work. I was so concentrated that the hours flew by and it was just a little pang in my tummy that told me it was lunchtime. Since the cafe just recently opened there were only three options to choose from and I went for the plate of the day at 10e consisting of veggie soup, small salmon tartare and salad and strangely, a handful of Tyrelll's veggie chips, which I love but don't quite constitute restaurant fare. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they'll soon come up with a more lively menu with dishes comprised of all cooked foods instead of industrial place holders. But overall a really lovely place with very sweet owners.
