Muna, my consultant, was amazing -- kind, patient, and truly the only reason I considered purchasing a gown. I'm 5'2" and a size 16-18, and only two dresses fit me. She handled me with grace and made me feel comfortable. While I was deciding on a $1,550 dress and $450 veil, the owner made 2 comments that didn't sit with me well regarding the dress "It's your size and there aren't many options in your size," and then, as I stepped aside to make a phone call, added, "I need to know what you're going to do because I have to write this up." The pressure and tone were unnecessary and disappointing. There were also no price tags, and asking for prices resulted in vague responses. "It's Couture and expensive" In the end, I paid $50 to try on only a couple of dresses and left feeling rushed, limited, and discouraged. Curvier brides should be aware that the inclusivity and sensitivity you expect may not be what you experience here.

To…read morestart, I had a very bad sales representative who took incorrect measurements, gave me incorrect information and started this mess which the owner and designer had little intention of fixing. The measurements for my bust were way too small. My chest was spilling out during the wedding and even after attempts and requests to fix the issue, the designer told me if I made any further alterations it would become a completely different dress than her design concept and would not do it. The sales rep told me the alterations were included , it was not, although I did like my seamstress and she did her best. Still it was on Me for not reading the contract, because it clearly was not included. The sales rep was incorrect in the timeline which made this all rushed. She said it could be done in 3/4 months which I was later told was very uncommon and likely lead to some of these issues. The sales rep I initially worked with was fired, but Zaaka had little interest in making up for these issues. What bothers me is all this with the veil cost almost $10,000 which is a lot for a dress and in the end, I didn't look great. The entire wedding I felt insecure because of the spillage in my chest, and the bodice being too tight. It was just too expensive to three years later still wish I went in a different direction.

There is ABSOLUTELY no where stated on the website that you wouldn't get your deposit back if you l had to cancel the appointment. I canceled almost a month in advance and the will not credit the $20. "Our Wedding Dress Fitting Room Reservation Fee includes a private fitting room for you and your guests. You will be assisted with a personal SSYB customer specialist to ensure your bridal experience is one of the best moments of your special event. $20.00" I get charging a reservation fee to discourage no shows, and keeping the deposit when there is a no-show....but to keep $20 when a whole month notice was given is ridiculous! It literally doesn't make sense and is a very poor business practice. I have 2 daughters and have spent a lot of $$$ dollars through the years at this store with Proms and Homecoming ...They have definitely lost a loyal customer over this. To make money for doing nothing, especially in today's economy is robbery! They obviously have become very conceited and feel that they can rip their customers off without consequence. Good thing there is honest Bridal retail/consignment stores who don't practice questionable undisclosed policies.
