Stumbled across this little gem while in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor! Le Bon is more than macarons. They serve Rowsters French press coffee and espresso, fresh scones Thursday-Sunday, as well as French and Italian sodas made with their hand-crafted fruit puree. The cafe is beautifully decorated and super inviting. The staff is friendly and quick to serve. A great spot for a bestie catchup or afternoon tea.

Absolutely favorite place to stop at in Ann Arbor! This place is ungodly adorable! From the little gifts to the bright colored macarons, this place is a social media managers dream. The macaroons are some of the best I've had in Michigan they have the classic flavors and ones that rotate in and out with the seasons! I highly recommend

I didn't think I liked macarons until I tried these. The macarons are so light and delicious. The shop is super cute. They have a couple tables to sit inside. They serve coffee drinks as well. My favorite flavor is hazelnut. These make the cutest gift.

I've officially tried every macaron place in metro detroit. I've been reserving judgment until I tried Le Bon. Verdict at the bottom. I've been wanting to try this place for years. Since back when they were one of the only macaron places in town. The place was very cute. Very "we serve macarons here". Reminded me of is Laudree painted their walls white and toned it down a little. Service was friendly. The macarons were!..........alright. As a self proclaimed macaron connoisseur, I look for 3 things: texture, flavor, appearance. Some of their macarons had all 3. Some had only 2. The lack of consistency is what took away points for me. I tried: Special flavor: Yuzu PB&J Raspberry rose Almond Blue moon Matcha And the last one I forgot the name. It was something and champagne I think. I started with Yuzu- 2/3 (cute, good texture, no flavor) Almond 3/3 PB&J 3/3 but didn't really taste the J Something and champagne 2/3 (no flavor) Blue moon 3/3 Raspberry rose 2/3 (no flavor) Matcha 2/3 (no flavor- this one really hurt cuz I love matcha anything) The texture was decent but it wasn't special or unique. It's the same texture pretty much everyone else has. While a couple had nice flavors, none of them wowed. None of the macarons told me I needed to make the trip and come back. So now with all my macaron adventures, who is officially the best? (In my opinion of course) Le Detroit Macaron in Hamtramck. Very consistent. In all 3.

Cute macaron shop in downtown Ann Arbor. We bought their standard pack of 6 for $15. Service was very friendly as well.

If you are in the Kerrytown craving a small sweet, Le Bon Macaron is the perfect place to grab a macaron or two. You can also get a kettle full of tea here for $5 or some coffee to enjoy with your macarons! PEAR MACARON - 2.35 I only wanted one macaron and there were so many on this display that looked delectable. The pear stood out to me because of the gold printed on top of a sea foam green cookie that made it eye catching and aesthetic. It was a bit too sweet for me but definitely an enjoyable treat that satisfied my sweet cravings this afternoon. The pear flavor was very evident and enjoyable. Overall, pretty $$$ but I'd recommend giving it a try. I will definitely try more macarons next time and enjoy them with a pot of tea.

Absolutely darling little shop! Definitely worth a quick stop if you are in downtown Ann Arbor. The space is tiny, but decorated in a delightful tea party chic kind of way. You'll get plenty of pics for your Instagram in this place! The staff was very friendly and they also do a nice job of listing out dietary restrictions for each type of macaron (Note: the majority are gluten free and the exceptions are clearly marked). The macarons themselves are generally quite good, although some flavors I think are more successful than others. The presentation of the macarons is perfect! They all look stunning. Le Bon Macaron has a TON of flavor options, although not every flavor will be available every day. Overall, I would say that the majority of their macarons are very sugary/sweet. When we went we got a variety to taste: -Matcha - you could generally taste the matcha flavor, but it was really drowned out by the intense sugary-ness of the macaron 6/10 -Raspberry - a classic. Very good! 10/10 -Mexican Chocolate - this one has cayenne pepper in it, which definitely comes through in the end. pretty good! 8/10 -Speculoos - this did not taste like speculoos remotely. This one just did not work for me 2/10 If I were to return to Le Bon Macaron, I would probably stick with the more traditional macaron flavors. Overall, glad I stopped by this place and would recommend it!

Small cafe with a beautifully photogenic decor. The line can be a little long when people cannot decide which of the many flavors of macaron they want. Friendly and bright environment for an afternoon break with some drinks and sweets.

10/10 macarons, 10/10 aesthetic! It's a beautiful, reasonably priced place to get coffee and macarons! The girls working are also very nice and accommodating!! I was asked a couple times just to make sure she got my coffee the way I wanted it, which I really appreciated! Highly recommend!!

Place: This place is probably the cutest place to sit down with your friend and catch up. The space is smaller so it is probably best if you go in twos. However, I have seen bridal parties take place here too. Service: The service is really good and they try to make sure you get the best price for your stay. It is more expensive so when we were going to get 2 cups of tea the employee told us getting a pot of tea would be better! Super thoughtful and nice! Extra bonus points :) Food/price: The food is sweet and delicious. It is a dessert place and more finger foods so this is post-dinner kind of place. $$ It is pretty expensive but worth once in awhile when you want to celebrate graduation or a special meet up. For example a box of macaroons (6 in a box) is $14... but still really good :)

Quality espresso and better macaroons, but way overpriced. I would have given 5 stars if it were a bit less pricey.

I can't say enough good things about TeaHaus. I love tea, and feel like it doesn't get as much love…read moreas coffee in terms of just the experience of tasting, smelling, etc. Thankfully, they ship, so I can order my teas when I get back home as well. Honestly, I was a bit overwhelmed when I came in. There's a tea bar area, the loose leaf tea wall, pastries and other desserts, swag, a tasting area, and apparently it was trivia night tonight. I experienced all of this in just the first minute or two of entering. And it was packed! I really appreciate the time taken to explain the shop to me and walk me through many of the teas. Although they were busy, I didn't feel rushed (there were 2-3 people working the registers) and it felt very personal chatting. I was able to smell a bunch, and could really tell the differences in them. I ended up getting 3 50g bags and 2 sample bags, plus some stickers and pins. Really excited to try these out. Their range goes from darker to lighter, and they have a wide variety of black, green, rooibos, and herbal teas/blends.

They are selling really cute tea ornaments and they have other things like tea pots and cards with funny phrases like "It was you Oolong." They don't have a physical menu because the flavors constantly change. You can look online but for the most part, have to stand behind the counter in diff areas to see alll the flavors! I spotted Almond Milk Tea and she let me smell it and I was sold! It smelled wonderful! When it was actually brewed, it was ok though. It doesn't really have milk in it either :0p My MIL got the Hisbiscus (a tad too sour) and my husband got the Japanese Cherry green tea (that was good and has a mild flavor if you like that sort of thing). They have signs on the table that there is no Wifi because they encourage unplugged conversations and connections.

I consider myself to be pretty picky when it comes to French macaron. Yeah, I've been to Paris a…read morecouple of times. I've been to the big world famous places and had them from the source, not just in their U.S. expansion locations. Let me tell you this. The macaron at The Blu Kitchen, this tiny little place with barely any operating hours at all, from a quality of product perspective is making delicious little morsels that compare favorably with the world's best. Some of the flavors, I'm looking at you salted caramel, are even better than what I had abroad. Of course, there are others that fall short. Notably the ones with sprinkles. However, I am told by Adina they are big sellers with the local crowd. Mon dieu. Arrive early on Saturday for the best selection. Things will sell out. But this is the cost of great food. Comparing the macaron here to others available locally, these are better than that preciously cute store in downtown Ann Arbor. The flavors are true. The textures are perfect. And they far surpass that Detroit pastry chef guy who makes other great things but whose macaron leave me disheartened. Macaron are pretty pricey for a little cookie. But when they are good, they are worth every penny. Why? Because they encapsulate a pursuit of perfection. As a small bite, they need to pack a flavorful punch. That flavor comes from the center. But here's the trick, that center cannot overshadow the rest of the confection. It has to blend seamlessly into the textures of the crisp outer shell, which coalesces into a tender almond flour interior, and that dense creamy middle. At one of the famous places in Paris, the filling was just far too stiff and produced a jarring effect. This can happen on occasion to the best macaron bakers and Adina is no exception. But her pursuit of perfection and attention to detail in every element of production are extraordinary. This review has been a long time coming and serves as a reminder to me that I need to get back to Plymouth for another fix. It's been far too long, and I saw on the gram I just missed coconut caramel. Dang it. If you are a macaron fan, you owe it to yourself to get some of these in your mouth. You can thank me later. Just skip the ones with the sprinkles, and maybe if enough of us buy the better unadorned versions, Adina will stop pandering to the crowd and make the world class treats I know she can.

That intrigued me enough to revisit and try the drink out this past week. Thai Milk Tea, Small w/ Boba ($6.40) - As I was ordering, I was told that the sweetness couldn't be adjusted since the the tea was premade and mixed with sweetener. It's a little unfortunate, but it is what it is. On the first sip, the tea first starts with a somewhat dairy forward flavor, but immediately follows that up with an extremely roasted, smoky and somewhat astringent flavor of a very strongly brewed tea. About half a second later, an extreme sweetness floods the mouth but helps to balance out some of the smoky astringency. I'm not sure how they get it to be so smoky - I regularly brew Thai tea in an espresso machine and I've never gotten it to be so strong before. It's also much smokier than any Thai tea I've had in restaurants. The sweetness is a bit too much for me. After sipping a bit, I decided to save the rest for later and add some fresh brewed Thai tea to temper the sweetness down a bit. The boba this visit is a big improvement over my previous visit. This time, it's not rock hard; instead, the boba has a decent chew on the exterior while retaining quite a bit more firmness in the center. I found the boba to be a bit on the lumpier side and a little inconsistent in shape but it's not bad. Drink Rating: 3/5 Boba Rating: 3/5 I also asked for a small sample of the black tea. This is also pre-sweetened, probably on the order of 25% or 50% vs. a fully sweetened drink as compared to other boba shops. For my tastes, it actually right on the dot: not too sweet, which allows some of the natural tea fragrance to really be at the forefront of the drink without being drowned out. I honestly would get this tea as a milk tea without any additional sweetener added. Bobalee is a first mover into Ypsilanti. It's a very well run business, with friendly staff and great ambiance. As I mentioned in my previous review, this is a business that's worth supporting. Bathrooms - Single unisex room in the back.
