My personal favorites are the mezze assortment (homemade tarama, dill-shot tzaziki, crispy zucchini pancakes, ratatouille to name a few) and for the main dish, the Eli lamb with yogurt, garlic and eggplant. Everything is perfectly seasoned and has real soul. For the deco, I love their rotating exhibition on the walls (last time it was sketches of women and another time photos of shadowy trees), the mismatched chairs, and the menu pasted in old books. The monkfish in adobo was another extraordinary dish. I have only had monkfish liver before, but the way they were able to perfectly cook the monkfish gave it a texture and flavor reminiscent of lobster. With the spice of the adobo, it was a really well balanced dish. Additionally, all of the wines that we tried were also notable and delicious. Frenchie has definitely earned its Michelin star, and I wouldn't be surprised if it has another by the next time I come back.
