The lady who did my feet was absolutely perfect, and my experience with her was great. However, the woman who did my nails was honestly very unprofessional. She repeatedly kept asking me if I wanted gel polish instead, and after I said no, it felt like she became rough and careless with my nails. I still have clear polish left on my skin, my nails are bumpy and streaky, and the white polish looks uneven. I've gotten white nails before many times, and they've never looked like this. The polish has already chipped in multiple places, and some sides of the nails barely even have polish on them. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars because the pedicure service was wonderful, but the manicure quality was unfortunately less than mediocre.

The older lady with the short hair/wedding ring/teardrop diamond necklace did my nails way too thick. I asked her to make them thinner 5 times, she kept insisting my nails weren't too thick. She got annoyed with me when I asked her to do them thinner to look more natural. This became a bit frustrating after the 2nd time. I'm not sure why some nail ladies are like that, I paid $40, just give me what I want. I'd go again, but I wouldn't get the short hair lady again. Also, she tried to say the French tip acrylic nails were $45, I said the menu says $35 and then she changed the price and said, "oh, the white tip is $40." C'mon... Update: it's been 90 min since I had my pedi, figured they were dry. Nope, too much paint was put on and the top coat was put on before the red was dry. The pic is attached.

Okay, so plan B turned out really well, and overall I am happy with my experience. They have been in the same location for 20 years, and they are extremely clean. Most times I'll notice dust or cobwebs in the corners at most salons I go to, but they were so clean. I even asked about their pedicure procedures and how they sanitized, so I know I'll get one there one day. This definitely is a mom and pop shop that stays busy because of their regulars, and they know your name, which is refreshing when going to a nail salon. This is a place that prides themselves on their product, and they take care of everyone they can. I definitely suggest calling to make an appointment!

Great pedicure, wonderful massage, and very reasonable price!…read more I came into Zen Nails & Spa as a walk-in with no appointment and was pleasantly surprised that there was no wait at all. I was paired with Mimi, and she did an excellent job. I had gel polish that needed to be removed before my pedicure, and one thing I especially appreciated was that Mimi did not grind it off with a Dremel/electric nail sander. She removed it gently, which is a big plus for me. My feet were also in terrible shape pain-wise. I spend a lot of time outside at our farm and had been walking over rocks, so they were extremely sore. I explained to Mimi in Vietnamese that my feet really hurt and needed some extra attention, and she understood exactly what I meant. She gave me one of the best foot and lower-leg massages I've had during a pedicure. For me, that part alone was priceless. I had also just gone through a very scary experience driving on I-20 earlier that morning, so sitting down with a glass of wine and having someone work the knots and soreness out of my feet was exactly what I needed! They have a really good selection of colors, displayed in color books rather than making you hunt through bottles. The salon itself isn't one of those huge, ultra-luxury nail spas -- it's fairly simple -- but everything I saw was clean and comfortable, and I'd much rather have excellent service than pay extra for fancy décor. I chose the pedicure that was one level above the basic pedicure, added gel polish, and the total was $55 before tip -- including the gel polish. I thought that was very reasonable, especially considering how much time Mimi spent on the massage and my feet. Excellent value, excellent service, and I would definitely return and request Mimi. One thing to know before heading over: Zen Nails & Spa is closed on Tuesdays.

If you want SNS "dip" nails - you wont get them. If you are a "dip" client - you know there are 4 steps. This tech started with "brush on" acrylic primer (I knew it was primer by that smell - which you don't get with the SNS products) and I asked about that "oh its okay - all the same" It is NOT! Pulled out what looked like dip powder BUT did not "dip", BRUSHED on the product very thick- I asked her to dip but she wouldn't. I had a dinner party to go to otherwise I would have left right then and waited til I could go somewhere else with my hands a mess. Her top coat was so old and thick it took her 4 times of smudging my nails til I said I had to go. I guess the worst part of this was watching a co-worker take the used acetone and dump it back in the main acetone bottle sitting on the floor! I was/am excited about dip and having beautiful nails - now I am basically starting over . . . .Had to have these taken off because I broke out from the primer. Please be careful - - they are very nice people but their product and practices are not
