I came here with a girl friend for a quick mani before a party. I'm new to the Buford area so I had no idea where to go for a good mani but as usual I turned to yelp. This place boasted 5 starts & was right around the corner from us, so we figured we'd give it a try. Overall the salon was very nice and clean, big comfy massage chairs and 2 large but not blaring TVs. The selection was good, I did notice they have a huge variety of the gel colors - always a plus. Regular nail polishes - some OPI some china glaze, some unknown - didn't see any Essie. I had to have some old acrylic nails removed before my manicure, which, if you've had it done before getting them removed is the worst! super painful. The lady I had was very nice but she was very aggressive with my nails - I'm a huge baby and really needed her to take her time. I had to ask her to soak them off because it was hurting so badly. Once they were removed she did my manicure - nothing out of the ordinary, which was a tad disappointing after such rave reviews. I picked out a bright orange color - china glaze I think, nit OPI which was probably a mistake. She painted my nails and put me under the dryer, all before asking for payment which was odd. I wasn't a fan that she had to root through my purse to get my wallet and get my card out. I paid $18 for a mani and the acrylic removal - a little steep in my book. My nails started tho chip and show wear within hours- no mind you I'm ruff on my hands but this was fast even for me. It might have been the polish but I also think she could have done a better job painting them. My friend had a fabulous pedicure. she enjoyed an extra long leg massage as well as her fancy massage chair. She did get her eyebrows waxed and the women got baby oil in her hair - not good. She was pretty upset about that. She also paid for a design on her big toes which cost $5 instead of the regular $3. Not sure I'd come back for a manicure, but I'd give it another try for a pedicure. read more

Just moved here, so it was hard to part from my usual nail salon. Either way, I got a gel manicure and the technician was very detailed and that is so important. She suggested the right things even if it was cheaper since I was getting gel on my natural nail. It was a really good and comforting experience since I was so nervous about trying a new place. I found my "go to" nail place! Yepi! This nail place is conveniently located next to "Massage Envy," "LA Fitness," and a sushi place...this is definitely my plaza of choice, lol. I was pampered by Wendy and Yvonne. They were both wonderful with me. I got the ultimate spa package and boy was it worth it! Wendy was so sweet. She joked with me and made me felt comfortable and the three of us were just having a great time chatting. Yvonne did my nails and she was very diligent about it. It's still beautiful after 2 weeks. The lady was so sweet, all the workers were leaving at closing time at 8 and she was massaging my legs and taking her time. UPDATE 5/14/16 I'm so upset with my last visit, I had to take a star away. I plan on going back but ONLY to Chuckie! I went in today to get a gel manicure done. And being picky or not, the woman who did my nails did a really messy job. I'm sure with the way that it was painted on, my gel will probably peel within a matter of a week if not days. Ugh! I'm so sad. I figured with the amazing experience I had last time and the reviews, that I wouldn't be risking anything on going back and not waiting on when Chuckie was in. I was so wrong. I asked her to shorten them a bit because I had broken a nail and figured it was because they had gotten so long, and she just reshaped them into a really ugly uneven shape. She also used the nail drill on the top of my gel polish which in my experience as a former tech, that is a HUGE no no.... Mainly because of the risk that it may file down all the way to my natural nail. Which in some parts I saw that it did. I hate that I didn't get her name... And my pregnancy brain, I gave her a pretty decent tip so I'm sure it made her think she did a good job, but she didn't. NEVER letting her touch my nails again :'( I'm a former nail tech so I'm EXTREMELY picky, being that I can just do my own nails. I finally gave in and decided to go get pampered with the bestie (mainly because I'm pregnant now and can't reach my toes anymore ). I'm always nervous about trying a new place, but thanks to Yelp! we discovered our new go to! They were busy, but they had enough staff to accommodate walk ins, so we were able to sit down right away. We both decided to get the $40 option and man was it awesome. Had a scented scrub, which unfortunately I didn't get the techs name that did my pedi, but she made sure I got what I was paying for. Literally spent at least 10 minutes total on massaging with the scrub which turned into a nice smooth moisturizer. It also came with a mask, and ended with a hot stone massage. Everything about that pedi was perfect I also got a gel manicure. I had Chuckie do them, and she noticed that I took very good care of my nails (again, I'm a former tech, it'd be a sin not to take care of them) she offered to do an ombré effect or some type of design as well, but I was feeling really simple and decided to stick with a neutral color, she didn't try to pressure me after I made my decision, and instantly started on her work. She did P-E-R-F-E-C-T! I mean when I say I'm picky, I mean I stare at my nails non stop until I find something wrong with it, and then convince myself that I don't need to spend the money on having someone else do it for me and I'll just do it myself next time. But seriously, it's been 3 hours since I've had them done and I can't stop staring at them because of how much I LOVE them So yes, go here. Definitely worth every bit. And honestly the prices are very reasonable. I would think somewhere by the mall like this, and how nice the decor and services were (they instantly give you a bottle of water when you sit down) that it would be pricey. But nope, top notch service at a reasonable price? Yes please! Can't wait to go back and start a ritual with the bestie!! Avon was the tech that worked on my bestie and her daughter. And she loved her as well, so I'm thinking impeccable service is definitely something ALL the techs there strive for. read more

I recently moved to Buford - this shop had good reviews and is very convenient to my new home. I went in at 12p on a Saturday (Valentines Day) for a gel mani and needless to say it was packed. I was told my wait would be 20 min but I waited an hour. I will say my wait was worth it! My gel mani was meticulous. Houng was GREAT! I am very particular about my cuticles and without saying a word she made sure they were flawless. She actually took the time to look for mistakes: cuticles, paint, nail shape...I was so impressed. Wonderful! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because my chair was really "light" and I could barely feel the massage. Kim did my fill -in and Tracy did my pedicure. I got an SNS manicure here before my wedding and it was horrible!!! The guy who did my manicure did not push my cuticles back or shape my nails well. The worst part was how thick the polish was on my nails!! I think he was just so impatient and distracted by every little thing that he didn't take the time to finish filing them down after he applied the polish. I had to rush around the day before I left for my wedding to make it to another nail salon and get it fixed. I would not recommend coming here... especially for SNS!!! read more

This ENTIRE shop is friendly beyond belief. They greet you as soon as you come in the door and tend to your needs immediately. They are extremely fast and also increibly talented. I was helped by Kim. She took off old acrylics and set me up with a perfect set of SNS nails. She was very gentle while taking off my old acrylics and asked if I was ok and told me to tell her if it hurt. I've never had anybody pay that much attention to me. They sat us in pedicure chairs without water for 45 minutes, but just as my friend and I discussed leaving they came over to get things started. The service itself was fine (I had a mani and pedi, my friend just got a pedi). Problem was my pedicurist kept asking for someone to start the soak to get my gel nails off, and no one would ever come over. That meant that I was going to have to stay another 45 minutes AFTER the 2 hours of sitting before and during the pedicures. I ended up just getting the gel off and a manicure with no polish so I didn't have to wait longer. This used to be a good salon but all good things end. The wait times are ridiculous because they are understaffed. The workers have attitudes from being overwhelmed and this attitude is transferring to the customers. When you are paying to get pampered you should not be made to feel rushed or as if it's your fault that they are understaffed, the person that did my daughters nails changed the price 3 times and could only do gel nails and not well for the asking price of $65 for French and a basic :) smiley face on 2 nails. I asked for design suggestions for my nails they told me find a pic online or we can service the next customer waiting, we can't suggest anything for you.After I waited over an hour already. I said so your not even going to do the fill in? Oh yeah we can do that or service the next customer they been waiting (rude) In the end my nail tech did a good job but also was frustrated with being overwhelmed with work. Tracy is the bomb with shellac manicures, eyebrow tinting, not to mention the great massage she gives with the mani....Now Chuckie is the bomb with nail designs, shellac polish, and awesome with pedicures. Helen is able to take what I see on Pinterest and recreate it. She can match anything. She's really friendly and can do a lot of the trendy styles. She's really friendly but she does tend to book up early. Kristy is great with my toes but I don't do designs on my toes so I don't expect a lot but her pedicures do last . The gel polish never last more than 5 days but it is quick and cheap compared to other area salons. There are a few sour apples that work here, but no need to mention their name ( it shows on their face when you arrive ). Overall great place for eyebrows and quick service...just don't expect your gel polish to last long read more
