The set up is hilariously insane, worth the stop alone. The cashier was fun and friendly, and the graffiti in the women's room was inspiring! I have a basic bitch stomach, so got the "Puppy" with just ketchup. Sproßling got the Mothman, garnished with I believe onion rings and 1000 Island. Husband got his smothered in jalapeños. We split a full size onion rings, which were hot and tasty. We all had Gold Peak tea. The dogs tasted great, if I had a normal stomach I would have gotten a second one. As it was, we were in and out and back on the road quick as a wink!

Tucked away just a few minutes off I-64 in Barboursville, WV, this place offers eccentric hot dogs at a reasonable price. Using all beef dogs they create some wild and crazy options as well as the basics. Surprisingly they have non-dog choices and some vegetarian options too. Look, truth be told the dogs themselves are average, but you're not here just for the food. You're here for the experience. The place is decorated - every square inch of it - with stuff that looks like it came right off the Clampett's jalopy. (Look it up kids.) Bring your aw shucks attitude, because the punny signs are everywhere. And with a little planning ahead, apparently you can actually get married in the Weddin' Chapel. It's tacky and corny and therefore the perfect roadside stop. We arrived around 11:30 on a Sunday and had a short wait. When we left under an hour later, the line was creeping towards the street. Our line moved quickly in part to the friendly staff. The wait for our food wasn't long either. There was plenty of outdoor shady seating, but you can also sit inside in their "renovated" school bus. Is it a 5-star dining experience? No. Is it a 5-star road trip destination. You bet yer britches!

I have a lot of wonderful memories tied to this place. Back not too long ago, this was a curb-hop service, where ladies came out, took your order, and hooked a tray onto your car window with all the goods. Lots of memories of my Grandmother taking me here in her old dark blue Monte Carlo (The car with ash trays still built into the doors). There's a lot more items added to the menu, but my go-to's are still the slaw dogs and fries. West Virginia slaw dogs are hotdogs topped with coney sauce, minced coleslaw, and mustard. Delicious. Nobody makes them better. Nobody. My brother and I stopped here shortly after we buried my Grandmother to relive some nostalgia from our childhood and dedicate one more Parkway dog to her. Our server was attentive, and very kind. We were a little scatter brained, so I appreciated her patience. The building has changed a little, and it now has indoor seating, but it's still the same old food. By the way, the mozzarella sticks here are amazing. I don't know what else they deep fry in their grease, but the sticks came out with a hint of sweetness to them, almost like they were hand battered in donut mix. It was a delight to the taste-buds. Thank-you, Parkway for the wonderful memories. You're not fancy, gimmicky, and may not even be the best in the state, but you're still great in my books.

Food is very good. Not pricey. Definitely a locals favorite. People here are very friendly and…read moreinviting.

I'm glad we were early because the parking lot got really crowded and the place was hopping shortly after 11:15. It's a big menu and we took our time looking over the options. Not everything is super obvious about what it is or has on it but you can ask the folks at the window. Our group ordered hot dogs, tater babies, broccoli cheese bites, and a coffee milkshake. Everything came out pretty quickly and VERY hot. I had a footlong hot dog, ordered with chili, mustard, and cole slaw but it only came with chili and mustard. My Mom had a hot dog with mustard and relish. That one was right but looked a little odd because the toppings were under the dog so it just looked like a plain wiener. The third hot dog was perfect and definitely was looked the most appealing. The tater babies are potato wedges. They were good. The Broccoli cheese bites were just kinda meh. My Aunt gave the coffee milkshake a C grade saying should couldn't really taste the coffee flavor. We enjoyed sitting under the covered areas because it was such a beautiful day. Robo's definitely seems like a local favorite. I'd return and try some other items on the menu (especially breakfast) if I'm in the area again.
