Good home cooked food here! Today I had country fried steak, and it was awesome! Definitely worth the trip.

Keith's is definitely the spot to be on a Friday or Saturday night in Man. Plenty of locals, but…read morethey are friendly! We came in for dinner and a few beers. We sat at the bar and read all of the reviews about an hour+ wait on food. Ours took about 35 mins to arrive and it wasn't busy at all. Be prepared to be on that southern time. The food was good, though. My boyfriend loved his chicken Philly. I thought the buffalo chicken cheese fries were pretty good. The chicken pieces were square and had a slightly strange texture, to me, but the fries and sauce were good. My fried chicken sandwich wasn't anything exciting, but it was hot and tasty. The entire ceiling and surrounding walls are covered in dollar bills that people have signed over the years, plus some local sports memorabilia. The parking lot isn't too big, luckily we walked from across the street and didn't have to worry about it. Trail rider friendly and they have a decent local beer selection plus domestics.

The staff treated me like they had known me forever -- super friendly, attentive, and just genuinely nice. The food surprised me in the best way. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned, and the portions were perfect. You can tell they actually care about what they serve. The drinks were great too -- strong enough, but still really balanced. What I liked the most was the atmosphere. It's the kind of spot where you can go for a casual dinner, grab drinks with friends, or just unwind without feeling rushed. Good music, good energy, and good people. If you're looking for a place with great service, solid food, and a comfortable vibe, Keith's is definitely worth going back to. I'll be returning for sure.

Several beers to choose from, but heavily stocked toward Pale Ale and IPA, not my choice. Served quickly. Waitress/bar tender was very attentive to our beers, but not overly so. So we walked a few businesses away and discovered The Broken Axle. We were quickly seated and provided menus and discovered, it IS his restaurant, he's AXLE! Hilarious. We met his mom and dad who are the owners. My group of five ordered various items. Tacos, a hamburger, sliders, a chicken wrap and the fried buffalo chicken mac wrap. Along with our mains we had various sides; chips, fries, onion rings and Tetris shaped tater tots. With the amount of variety I fully expected a delay in receiving our order. NOPE!! All the food arrived at the same time and everyone's meals were hot! We all agree that this was the favorite meal of our road trip. We found out later that they sponsor a yearly music concert with headline names!! WOW! This year is Joe Nichols. Fantastic.

The Magnolia House on Park is a hidden gem nestled by the river at the end of the street. The covered screened-in porch is set for multi-season use, with ceiling fans and multiple fireplaces. We were promptly greeted and chose a corner table (which was custom-built from 100-year old barn wood). The menu changes daily along with a selection of entree salads. We decided to dine "family style" and chose chicken and dumplings and meatloaf. Our sides included a house salad (I had the house-made orange zest dressing; my companion chose Thousand Island), green beans, mashed potatoes, and corn. These were served with rolls that literally melted in your mouth. Before the main course was served, we enjoyed some of the best fried green tomatoes we've ever eaten. The portions are generous, and they gladly boxed up our leftovers--and I look forward to having those tomorrow. Though we were thoroughly satisfied, we were unable to pass on dessert--all homemade. I had the lemon berry mascarpone cake, which was served with a side of fresh whipped cream. My friend had the pumpkin pie--which was the perfect taste of fall. We both had Magnolia Iced tea --garnished with lemon, orange, and a sprig of organic mint. Bottomless refills are available, and our attentive server kept our glasses filled. We had the distinct pleasure of meeting the proprietor/cook, her daughter (our server) and her mother. Magnolia House on Park is a labor of love--something that shines through in every bite. Before we left, we enjoyed some retail therapy in the boutique, which features items from local artisans and books from local authors. We can't wait for our next visit!
