My consultant and alterations specialist were wonderful: patient, supportive, and genuinely excited for me. They made the process stress-free and helped me find a dress that felt truly "me." But then came the owner. Cold, dismissive, and frankly rude. I noticed she was warm and chatty with other customers, which made the shift in energy even more uncomfortable -- and I think my consultant quietly noticed it too. By the time this experience happened (months later), I was too close to my wedding (and too far into the alteration process) to walk away. It's such a shame, because the rest of the team was incredible. But one negative interaction can sour the entire experience, especially for something as emotional as wedding dress shopping. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience at Luxe Bridal Rack was a nightmare. What should have been an exciting part of planning my wedding, the purchase and fitting of my dress, turned into a stressful and heartbreaking ordeal. Purchasing the dress initially seemed fine, but that changed when I was blindsided by a $1,500 charge for alterations. The staff only referred to it as Level 3, with no explanation of what that meant. I later learned it was their most expensive alteration package, yet I had not agreed to it or been informed about the cost upfront. My dress was a fitted mermaid gown with only two to three thin layers, not a complicated ballgown. The work required did not justify such an expensive fee. Promises regarding alterations, timelines, and fittings were broken repeatedly. When I raised concerns, I was met with excuses, defensiveness, and blame. During my first fitting, nothing was done to the dress. With two weeks until my wedding, the seamstress scheduled me for Thursday, one week before the wedding. I requested Monday instead, but Maria, the owner, texted me saying the seamstress had forgotten my dress. Despite my urgency, they refused to retrieve it, and the appointment was rescheduled back to Thursday, the day I had initially said I did not want. When I arrived that Thursday, the dress was still incorrect. The sleeves were too tight, the back hem remained pointed despite my request, the breast cups were positioned too high before being adjusted, and the dress was too long, causing me to trip. I asked for shortening, but the seamstress yelled at me, citing her thirty-five years of experience. I reminded her that this was my once-in-a-lifetime wedding and pleaded for the agreed alterations. I left in tears, convinced my dress would not be ready. I requested a call with Maria. She spent the entire conversation yelling, speaking over me, and accusing me of being stressed and not eating. When I asked for a refund of the $1,500, Maria insisted I could only receive it if I signed a disclosure promising not to post a review. When I returned to pick up my dress, the seamstress was cold and harsh, and the dress was still not correctly altered. I had no choice but to accept it as it was. What should have been one of the happiest moments of my wedding planning became a stressful and heartbreaking ordeal. Luxe Bridal Rack does not care about their customers, their satisfaction, or the quality of their work. If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay far away from this shop. read more

Beautiful dresses. The shop asks brides to send them their budget and inspo picks so they can get an idea of what dresses to pull for you and their budget, or so they say. We sent the photos and our budget. Unfortunately, they chose to show us dresses more than twice the budget. In fairness, per the website their dresses start at $2500 and our budget was $2000. We made the appointment on others recommendations not knowing the starting point, and will take responsibility for not checking the website for ourselves. While pulling dresses we asked prices and was deterred from a $5000+ dress, but when asking the price of a dress here and there, we were told she would check in a minute. After putting on the 1st and 2nd dress and loving them, we asked for the price. $4300. We were devastated. We were then pressured to "buy today" for a 10% discount, or put a $250 deposit to be eligible for the 10% discount if we were to decide. Reluctantly, we put the deposit. This was followed by nearly daily texts pressuring to order now, so the dress would be here in time. Good business would have been to send us to another dress shop within our budget before we even made the appointment. Weddings are stressful enough and trying on dresses should be fun. Not high pressure. If you don't mind the high pressure sales tactics, then maybe this shop is for you. I'm just sorry we didn't read ALL the reviews and the website before booking our appointment. LBR was my second bridal appointment and I was left with a bad taste in my mouth. LBR asks you to fill out a informational form before arriving that describes your venue, sizing, preferred styles, and BUDGET. Upon arriving, my stylist was unprepared, she clearly didn't read my form and proceeded to make me feel bad because my budget only allowed me to shop from the off the rack options versus the made-to-order. She then talked to me as if I were a cheap bride and downplay my alterations. Mind you, the shop I started at could make me a brand new dress within my budget, so clearly this shop is money hungry and doesn't care about the bride. Midway through the appointment, my stylist proceeded to disappear in the back to finish a staff meeting with the store. Long story short, my appointment was supposed to be 1.5 hours and we were out of there after 40 minutes. If the store reads this, I encourage you to read the forms you are requiring brides to fill out. I would've respected a phone call in advance to let me know my budget was below the standard gown price, rather than have my time wasted as it was. read more

I purchased my dress March 17th 2023 , and still have not received the dress (it is now Feb 17th 2024) not only have I not received the dress, I have been promised arrival dates multiple times with no follow through. Then when I have consistently reached out to get updates, the owner Maria does not respond until multiple attempts cause me a lot of anxiety. If I could give this store and owner Maria less than a 1 star, I would. She has also now threatened to sue for defamation after posting my experience on my social media . Stay away . read more

My wedding was nearly a year ago, and I was so upset about the quality of my dress from LBR that it took me this long to be okay enough to write the review. When I tried on the L'Amour Calla Blanche Brogan dress (attached image for reference), I expressed that I loved it except that it was low cut, and I preferred not to show cleavage. I was assured that it was an easy alteration to pull it together and not have any cleavage. Because of the promise made in the boutique that it could be easily altered to meet my needs, I purchased it and planned to have it altered there since they had the confidence it could be altered. They sized up dramatically to have enough fabric to pull together the low cut. Because of the sizing up and pulling the low cut together, the boning ended up in an unusual place, and the seamstress removed it. I have never worn a dress with boning nor am I an expert, but I now suspect the removal of the boning was the downfall and the seamstress should have added it back in the correct spot for my body. And that is something she should have known. If that wasn't the issue and the dress would have had that problem anyway, then the boutique owner isn't properly vetting the designs. So, either way, LBR failed. Instead, I ended up with a dress that looks worse than an off-the-rack look despite the high cost I thought I was paying for the quality. I paid over $1300 for the dress and $900 for the alterations. I'm not sure how alterations can cost that much and be such low quality. I have been in nearly 10 weddings and every unaltered bridesmaid dress has fit me better than this. The dress had a sloppy and cheap look to it since, I believe, it did not have the structure from the boning. There are many wedding photos that I would have loved and framed that I can't bear to look at because of how the dress came out. This includes every photo with my bridesmaids, so I have no good photo with my 3 closest friends. Advice: don't believe them when they say the dress can be easily altered and don't get your alterations there. If you have minimal alterations needed, you're probably fine to shop/get alterations there. read more

After months of trying to find "the one", I finally found her here at Luxe Bridal Rack. Overall, my experience was good and pretty painless. It's not a big bells and whistles experience (not for me at least). Mary Claire helped me try on dresses and honestly she was pretty assertive which helped me step out of my comfort zone and find the dress I ended up with. My only complaint is that my dress came 2 sizes too big so when it was taken in, it had to be taken from the front since the back was illusion backing with a lot of beading. The back was a lot larger than I'd hoped. Tbh, I don't know if this was a mistake by the designer or if I was not measured correctly so I'll put that out there. Overall, I felt beautiful but it could have fit better if it was sized more appropriately. read more
