Beautiful customized birthday cake for my friend. Very elegant and beautiful with detailed sakura flower petals and branches. Designer even included sakura buds which entailed more detail and beauty. Stopped by their table at South Pasadena farmers market. The display of desserts in cups was visually enticing. We bought a chocolate banana cake cup and a red velvet cake cup. Unfortunately the appearance and the anticipation were the best parts. Both dessert were forgettable, with dry, flavorless cake and bland frosting/filling. After our initial taste we put them in the refrigerator overnight to see if the flavors would improve. Our second tasting confirmed our initial impressions. At $15/dessert, I expected much better. read more

10/10 would return again. Pastries look and smell great and customer service was amazing. I came a bit after the opened, there was a ring door bell to come in. Was greeted by the nice lady working and advised me that they had a lot of order so if I had cake it would have to been order ahead of time luckily I came in for some pastries. They were done in about 20 minutes ( very fast ). She also gave me a sample of a pineapple cake she made and it was so delicious ! She was very generous and nice. It's a small business please keep that in mind when coming , be nice and patient to your small local businesses. read more

Omg their pistachio halwa is amazing! So good I cannot even explain it. It just melts in your mouth and tastes super delicious I highly recommend. They also have dates that you can stuff with whatever toppings you like and then have dipped in chocolate of your choice. I chose dates stuffed with walnuts dipped in dark chocolate and topped with roses what a perfect variety of toppings I am so thrilled and delighted. Lastly their lemon ginger tart with a multigrain crust. It is so hard to find good vegan options especially hearty and healthy desserts like this. I will definitely be ordering here again, can't wait to come in person whenever I'm in the area. I love their stuffed dates the most I love dates so much and this is truly genius :)!halwa is super authentic too! read more

So, I am going to say this...I don't know how long LB Cake Stop has been around, BUT if it's been around for any length of time I have been MISSING OUT! I will be a repeat, if not annoying customer because there is SO MUCH to try on the menu and their menu is diverse. Yesterday I ordered the Napoleon 1/4 sheet cake for my mom's birthday and we were not disappointed. The quality the cake itself and prompt attentive service will have me coming back for more. I don't have pictures, but the Napoleon cake was wonderfully textured: fluffy, crispy, decadent. If you ask my 6 y/o nephew, he said, "It tastes like Captain Crunch, kinda." (a compliment, for sure!). My brother and sister in law concluded, "It tastes like the beginning of the end of a waffle cone when the ice cream begins to soak through." (another compliment). For my mom and I, we were both like in that scene from "Ratatoulle" when the food critic eats the dish and is transported to his childhood -- except for us, we flash-backed to a bakery at the base of Sacre Coeur, France where we sampled the most decadent french pastries. This cake was THAT good! There is much to explore with LB Cake Stop as they offer far more than cake. To accompany the Napoleon cake, I bought a batch of chocolate dipped bananas with caramelized sugar topped with Himalayan sea salt -- OMG! It was the perfect bite of decadent goodness! It was like a banana's foster -- but richer! read more

Had a late order for two cakes. One day notice for them and they helped me out above and beyond. Made two beautiful cakes for me that were loved by the birthday girl and the flavors were great. Not overly sweet like some places. We had the Ferrero Rocher cake and a lemon pineapple cake. Pineapple cake was the preferred one. Some of the items are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and we loved the look. Definitely coming back again. read more

My husband found LB bake stop through post mates & ordered 4 different flavors. We didnt even realize this bake shop was known for customized cakes! We just saw the variety of flavors and decided to give them an order. We tried the lemon & lavender, ferrero rocher, red velvet, & pistachio. Our favorite ones were the lemon and lavender & ferrero rocher. If youre craving a light cake go with the lemon & for chocolate loves you have to get the ferrero rocher. It comes in the perfect size & its sooo cute too. The flavors are so unique and the cake itself is super moist! I can't wait to try different flavors the next time I order! Since covid is making it hard for alot of people to celebrate anything this place is great because you can send these to your loved ones & they get to enjoy pretty and quality cakes! I am a delivery partner, and about 2 nights ago, I had a pick up at this place, LB Cake Stop - it was a little past 10:00 pm and the doors were locked - after ringing the doorbell on Ring, a female came out and asked if she could help me, I told her I had a pick up and she told me I was "early", she also told me, she had "92 minutes" to fulfill the order - this to me was UNHEARD of, yet, she said the order would be ready in 10-15 minutes - she had me waiting outside, @ night, with a few homeless around her bakery - after waiting for more than 10 minutes, I called my delivery company to inform them that I had passed the 10 minute wait time - they went ahead to give that female a call to find out what the hold up was - she later unlocked the door, came out with the box of pastries and told me close to my face, that what I had done was NOT nice - she said it wasn't nice that I had called my delivery company - I tried to explain to her, that our wait time is 10 minutes, had I committed a CRIME for calling my delivery company????? Long story short, she told me that, due to me calling my delivery company, to inform them that the order was NOT ready, she was NOT going to give me the order and was requesting for another driver to do the pick up - she walked away, went inside her cake shop holding on to the order in her hands - very childish - I went back into my car feeling as though my BP was to its highest - I had driven from Monrovia, to Duarte, and into Baldwin Park, the city where her business is situated - it had been one of the looooongest drives I've ever taken, yet, she had no Mercy - I want to make my delivery partners aware of this woman who is unprofessional, and non educated, that if you report her for not having the order ready on time, she will do you the same way she did me - She's Armenian, kind of short, light skin, lightish hair, grabbed back in a ponytail - Thank God that after I reported this encounter and incident I experienced with her, my delivery company sent me an attractive "compensation" fee for my wasted time because remember, God is good all the time, all the time, God is good!!!!! read more

This place will chew your head off for not ringing the doorbell. The doors seem to be always locked. They also put the "ring doorbell" sign behind a wreath so you can barely see it. If you knock on the door, You will be confronted with a lady that will give you the stare of death for not ringing the doorbell, then a stern reminder to ring doorbell. From what I can see behind the window because no one has ever been inside this elusive store, the place looks more like a home furnishings store than bakery. I Did a drop off on doordash and the lady gave me instructions with an attitude like I was going to mishandle her dessert. Places like this are a waste of time. Overpriced, and have no sense of customer service. Please learn to treat your customers with a little more respect and for gods sake, treat your doordash and uber delivery drivers better. read more

So I just left the Lb Cake stop and I'm upset because the gentlemen and the gal where packing our pastries but they where not wearing a mask or gloves . It's my first time coming here and it's upsetting every other business I been to I see that they arre wearing mask and gloves . I don't think i will return especially with the customer service . Not even the guy in the back was wearing a mask . And I'm replying to you once again I'm not blind it was visible through the entry way glass obviously you are upset because I clearly saw the guy with a hairnet but with no mask or gloves . When you grabbed my yogurt from the fridge you where not wearing gloves or mask . Check your cameras I'm sure you can see yourself there . This not good for your business at all . Every other business I go to I see everyone wearing gloves or mask . Don't you care about your employees you where not wearing anything lol read more

Top notch and among the best in the entire SGV! The lemon cake is to die for! Recently Mom and I wanted pecan pie and within hours we were biting into a sweet delight of heaven-sent dessert! But what people don't know about this hidden gem in the heart of downtown Baldwin Park is that they serve food!! I want to share that I have been eating at fine dining establishments in Los Angeles for over 35 years! LB Cake Stop will surprise you at every turn, like it has me and my family for over 10 years. From lentil soup made from scratch to fresh, crisp and flavorful salads to flatbread artisan pizza and wild caught salmon cooked to perfection. They do not cut corners. They are extremely helpful and Liliya the owner will guide you through house favorites and specials. Now, some will question the higher prices. But you get what you pay for. Waiting outside to open, 10 mins late. No biggie. Woman answers the door, states they're not letting anyone in. No signs or anything posted indicating we aren't allowed in. Wanted to go in and check out their baking supplies, not allowed in either. I don't know how this business has stayed in business for this long. Don't waste your time coming here. Baker's Bodega is down the street and so much better. Or Amazon. Even dollar tree down the street might be better Update- Reply to RUDE owner- I find it rare that literally every single store and bakery is open for walk in except you. If you're not a "supply store" maybe don't advertise "SUPPLIES" in your storefront? Just an idea. Clearly you don't care about customer service, proves my review even further. read more

I needed a birthday cake delivered to my daughter at work as a surprise. I live in another city. I called and spoke with Liliya a few days before my daughter's birthday. Liliya was super helpful over the phone. Even suggested getting balloons to make the occasion more festive. On the day of the delivery, Liliya took pictures of the cake before it was delivered and then took a picture of the cake with my daughter at her work place. That picture really made my day since I can't be there in person. My daughter told me the cake was absolutely delicious. One of the best cakes she's ever tasted (we ordered the strawberry shortcake). Review solely for the service today. I ordered from here four times through Doordash before; cannoli, macaroons, ferrero mousse chocolate cup and birthday cakes. The macaroons were pretty good and fluffy, not overbearing sweet. The rest are good with elegant presentation but I dont feel anything extra ordinary. I was glad that I have one decent bakeries in the area that offers multiple varities. I kept looking at the online menu thinking if one day Im not too busy, I wanted to go and choose these delicacies in person. Here I am, here now, with the door locked. Yelp list business hours till 11pm and theres an "open" sign on the door and even the specified business hours. I called and the lady said to ring the bell to see the daily selection that they offer. I rang the bell and was told to order online and to wait outside. Wasting my energy and time coming here. I dont think I want to wait outside, in the wind, like a contagious peasant, for at least $70 for 2 dozens of macaroons. read more

Best bakery ever. Liliya is truly one of a kind. You will not find someone who will work as hard as she does to make you a beautiful cake. Yes, they are so busy with all the orders (book them early!) , but when she does your cake, she really puts her heart into it. Unfortunately I thought I could drive this two tier cake myself-- I hit the curb hard pulling into my driveway (yep I totally missed the driveway) and the cake toppled over in my van. 100% my fault. It was devastating to let her know I ruined the cake she spent so many hours on. She didn't sleep to redo our entire cake in the wee hours of the morning because she didn't want my son's 1st birthday to go without a highlight cake. I felt horrible and cried because I couldn't believe how big of a heart she had, to be willing to stay up and redo our cake. And her team did everything they can to get the cake to us in time before our party was over. On top of that, the entire party enjoyed the Ferraro Rocher flavor!! It was perfect for a morning party too --not too sweet or rich when serving cake at 11am. I had my mom and mother in law asking me to bring them more days after. My 4 year old is now requesting for this flavor cake on his birthday. We also ordered German chocolate cupcakes and strawberry shortcake push pops -- the cake push pops were nostalgic for the adults (I don't even think any of kids got their hands on one because they were gone so fast ). We received so many compliments on the desserts and certainly the best part of the party. Thank you Liliya and to your team. I have a special place in my heart for Liliya -- I thought for sure we wouldn't have a cake anymore, and she made sure this wouldn't be the case. If you want a beautifully designed cake/ desserts AND have it taste delicious, definitely choose LB cake stop! read more

Same with the sausage links - it was probably one of the best tasting ones I've had for breakfast in a while. Aside from their wide selection of pastries and food options, their customer service was phenomenal. Every customer that walked through the door was greeted upon arrival and thanked on their way out. The restaurant was very clean and the cakes looked so beautiful behind the glass case. I had a pleasant experience today at Merengue Bakery & Cafe and can't wait to come back soon to try a slice of their chocolate cake!

I discovered this place few weeks ago and been addicted to their delicious pastries since than. I don't even know where to start from. Their Ferrero Rocher cake slice is to die for - so, so, sooooo delicious. The texture of their cakes is not comparable to any cake I've had before - even portos, which is really good, doesn't come close to the freshness of LB Cake Stop's cakes. I've already purchased 3 cakes and a lot of pastries, and each one is better than the previous one. My wife loved the beautifully decorated Mother's Day cake I got for her last weekend, my mother loved her chocolate covered jumbo strawberries, kids loooved their push pops, cake pops, cookies and cupcakes. I bought a red velvet cake, a Rafaelo cake and a strawberry shortcake, which had tons of fresh strawberries inside in a very light not so sweet cream. Ihaven't ordered a specialty cake from them yet, but did see how beautiful their custom cakes are on Saturday when I was there to pick up a Mother's Day pre made cake. Let me tell you, their pre made cakes are so pretty, they're like specialty cakes without ordering in advance. I will definitely bring my business back to this shop for all of our occasions or just because sweet cravings. If you haven't tried them yet, stop by without hesitation. This awesome bakery is all Baldwin Park needed. I was very happy to discover it. The people working there are very friendly, they don't save their breath in explaining about each pastry and cake. They are very patient with answering questions. I used to live in Hollywood, where there are many bakeries, and since my move to BP 3 years ago I almost always had to drive to LA to satisfy my sweet tooth or to order my daughter's birthday cakes. Not anymore. I had ordered my baby shower cake from Cake Stop and not only it was delicious, the design came out better than I had expected. All my guests were asking me where I got the cake from. Even though I didn't have your cards to pass out I gave your name to everyone and I am almost positive you have had gained many customers from my party. Everyone, and I mean it, EVER SINGLE GUEST of ours loved the cake. Not only it was exactly what I wanted (simple and elegant) it was DELICIOUS. I LOVE this place and have gone back again and again for the past many months for custom cakes. They are so creative and never say NO to any of my ideas, regardless how crazy I get. When my crazy ideas get out of my budget, the owners are always patient and understanding and always suggest and give ideas to fall within my budget. I really love having a custom cake place like LB Cake Stop in BP. Before LB the only bakeries we have had were the grocery stores which no one likes, or we had to drive 1-20 miles out of the city to a decent bakery. Thank you for not only being the best in BP, but for understanding that parties get costly and backing us up with your creative ideas within our budgets. My family loves this bakery. Every time we visit LA we stop by here for some sweets and Smoothies. Their smoothies are so fresh and refreshing and their cakes and pastries make me want to buy everything they showcase. Last Friday we had a get together with family and I got their Ferraro Rocher cake to take with us, everyone looooved it, not even a crumble was left. LB Cake Stop is the cake shop with the best tasting and beautiful cakes. For my son's 18th birthday, they made a Snicker's cake for 40 people, and it was out of the world delicious and gorgeous. What we loved about the cake besides how beautiful it was, that it wasn't to sweet like most cakes where they add so much frosting. The prices for the cakes are way to high! 900 for a cake! They make you set an appt to order a cake and you have to pay $25 dlls before appointment or they won't even let you talk to to them to ask questions. The lady is extremely rude! The mini cookies was a special order since the cookies are normally baked at full size. Shout out to Felix for assisting and taking the order. The owner was accommodating on making the order in mini form. The conchas so far have been my favorite out of any bakery. The bread itself was almost like a brioche or similar to a King's Hawaiian roll. Guests were enjoying the conchas and cookies as well. Will be ordering and recommending this bakery to our friends and family.

I ordered a chocolate cake with buttercream frosting along with strawberries filling. It tasted really good and the cake was super cute ! Will definitely purchase again. The attack on Titans logo were edible.

The strawberries were all good sizes and all equally dipped, and the decorations were cute! The owner was great and worked with me about pick up time and making sure there was no contact delivery during this time which I really appreciated. Definitely gonna get them again soon, just for me as a treat!
