Very unfortunate outcome of a transaction with this farm , I purchased a horse earlier this year…read morethrough Linda Helin , and was assured that should I need to return her for any circumstance I would receive 35% of her $5,000 purchase price back. I was told that she would be trained by a a world renowned professional trainer and she would receive at least 3 days of training a week prior to her transfer to me. Upon the finalization of the sale I found out it's just Linda's daughter who rides the horses. When I got Hazel (icy mischief) Linda last minute disclosed that during the entire extra month of "professional"training I paid an additional $1,000 for they had only ridden her 3-5 times in total the entire extra month she was there at Dream Hill Farms. My trainer assessed her after a week of her settling in at my barn and she immediately noticed Hazel had no groundwork, couldn't lunge , was unfamiliar with a mounting block etc. I wasn't expecting a unicorn as she was an OTTB but it definitely was clear nothing was worked on while she was there that extra time with Linda. When I reached out to Linda for them to buy her back (first right of refusal was signed) Linda asked that I "donate" her back because they were supposedly low on funds at the moment. I sent her back to Linda because we had both agreed that upon her resale I would receive at least the 35% of my initial purchase back. Come to find out they sold her and didn't tell me even though I'd been asking Linda how her interest was going , a friend of mine happened to see on her daughter Tyra Helin's advertisement and sold post for her NEARLY A MONTH AFTER. When I reached out to Linda about this she then lied and stated they only sold her for $2,500 , since then I'd reached out to Linda again and asked her about the 35% she hasn't responded and has flat out ignored my messages. PLEASE BEWARE OF PURCHASING FROM DREAM HILL FARMS IN MURRIETA! What I thought were honest and good people were scamming me! Hazel was in GREAT health when I sent her back to them and only needed her feet done. Linda claimed she had vet expenses and etc. and feeding etc, however that is NOT how business works , I can understand the feet needing to be done but my 35% does not have anything to do with your feed and training AFTER I'd sent her back.

There's a variety of breeds to accommodate riders at any level. The owner, Kathy, gave me a nice lesson on horse behaviors before we started riding. She showed me how to maintain safety precautions and how to brush the horse. Once the actual riding portion of the lesson began, I rode a Quarter Horse while Kathy rode alongside of me on her horse. I felt very safe the entire time. On the track, there are mirrors to help you with your posture (which is essential to horseback riding). I was able to take pictures with my horse and when the lesson was over, I fed my horse some treats. Great experience!

This event happened about three years ago but I thought I would share my experience. I have quite a…read morebit of experience riding horses, but I hadn't ridden in a while so I decided to go there for a lesson. At the beginning of the lesson the horse they gave me to ride was taken to the round pen to exercise out some of his energy, which I thought was kind of odd. Then I was told to get on the horse. As soon as I swung my leg over the saddle to mount the horse, he started bucking. I ended up behind the saddle sitting on the horse's rump struggling to stay seated but then finally went flying off. I was really surprised that I was given a horse like that because this was the first time I had ever been there. I tried to get on again and the horse tried to buck again. Someone grabbed his head and I was finally able to get on the horse. After that he was fine but I had some massive bruises the next day. I think Green Acres needs to have better trained horses.

I always liked the idea of riding a horse but was always afraid I would fall off and break a few…read morebones. Being completely new I needed someone with a TON of patience. I took lessons at a few other places and couldn't seem to find the right person with the right amount of patience for me (yes I'm that difficult) . I finally got in touch with Amy over at Hanover saddle club and she was able to get me started right away even with my difficult schedule. She was so patient with me, and her love and knowledge about horses was far beyond anything I ever knew. First lesson she let me ride cute little domino (princess pony). It was perfect because I was still not comfortable getting on the big horses - still afraid of falling off. Domino was just the right size for me and she is just so adorable. Now that I have become more comfortable with this horsey stuff I bring my daughter and husband with me for lessons and we all go out on the trails and it is absolutely beautiful with the sunset!
