At the beginning of the lesson the horse they gave me to ride was taken to the round pen to exercise out some of his energy, which I thought was kind of odd. Then I was told to get on the horse. As soon as I swung my leg over the saddle to mount the horse, he started bucking. I ended up behind the saddle sitting on the horse's rump struggling to stay seated but then finally went flying off. I was really surprised that I was given a horse like that because this was the first time I had ever been there. I tried to get on again and the horse tried to buck again. Someone grabbed his head and I was finally able to get on the horse. After that he was fine but I had some massive bruises the next day. I think Green Acres needs to have better trained horses.

I'm not sure it's exactly like riding a bike--but Karen made me feel completely at ease from the start. Kiwi, my horse, was incredibly patient and gentle with me. I swear she knew I needed a little extra TLC! It made the whole experience so enjoyable and stress-free. I even got to do a tiny bit of trotting, which was such a fun bonus. Overall, it was such a great experience, and I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to try horseback riding or get back into it!

She got us all sorted and matched to our horses just as I would've myself and kept the riding tips short, sweet, and funny for my intermediate-experienced friends. (Horse girls are sometimes framed as overbearing and have a tendency to pack an attitude) - but not these instructors. Our guide was Jeff, a real cowboy this guy. Jeff was top tier entertainment and we thank him for taking all the girly photo requests! The horses were all beautiful, loved, and responded so well to our experience levels. I have a painfully shy 4 year-old and a stubborn 2 year-old. I booked a lesson for each child on a…read moreMonday morning. We were able to walk over from Morning Song Farm. Robin was incredible. She gave us a tour, then taught my daughters how to groom and clean their hooves. The horses appeared to be rescued and rehabilitated, which is always my preference. She took Dancer out to the ring and had both girls ride bareback. My oldest is painfully shy and crumples with direction or correction. This is something we are working on, especially because she so desperately wants to be around horses. Robin was patient and communicative. She gave each toddler a turn on the horse, while the other could play with spoons in the dirt. This worked very well for us. My children's attention span stopped short around their lunch time, when they got whiny and stubborn. Robin did not take it personally and made sure to offer them the opportunity for another ride. Both girls refused and collected lemons from her grove instead. We went back to the tent and made lemonade. Consequently, both girls took a two hour nap after the lesson. THUMBS UP! We hope to return.

There's a variety of breeds to accommodate riders at any level. The owner, Kathy, gave me a nice lesson on horse behaviors before we started riding. She showed me how to maintain safety precautions and how to brush the horse. Once the actual riding portion of the lesson began, I rode a Quarter Horse while Kathy rode alongside of me on her horse. I felt very safe the entire time. On the track, there are mirrors to help you with your posture (which is essential to horseback riding). I was able to take pictures with my horse and when the lesson was over, I fed my horse some treats. Great experience!

The minute I walked in here, I noticed how clean and well-organized the facility was. All the horses are absolutely beautiful and clearly very well cared for by the owners. Betsy and Robb are incredibly sweet -- they showed me around and gave me all the information I needed. I've taken lessons with both Betsy and Maddie, and each one has been phenomenal. They're patient, professional, and genuinely want to teach you as much as they can. One of the best parts is that the lessons are individual, which makes it so much easier to learn, especially if you're a beginner. The lesson horses are the sweetest! They're well-trained, gentle, and actually listen to you, which makes a huge difference. The drone following us taking video was extremely annoying. Not the adventure I had hoped for, but enjoyable do do one time.

It was SO early, and it really was good I had a jacket before we got into the balloon because it was chilly, but it is warm up in the air and in the balloon! Watching the set up and tear down ended up feeling like a part of the experience. The ride itself was amazing. It was unreal and so pretty!!! Our pilot had so much fun knowledge of the area and kept everyone engaged and entertained. At the end, they provided a champagne toast and certificates which was such a nice touch. I am definitely glad we went with this company and highly recommend them to anyone else interested in checking out a hot air balloon ride!
