    Large chicken on the rocks
    Tas M.

This is a great lil place to get some great Middle Eastern food. A unanimous dish that everyone usually gets is their Chicken on the Rocks. You get rice and chicken (thigh pieces) with hot sauce + garlic sauce on top. Sometimes if you are lucky, they have lentil rice instead of the regular rice. It's super addicting and their large size can easily feed 2 people. You may also substitute the rice for fries, which then becomes Chicken on the sticks!

Came here on a late evening, around 10pm. My boyfriend got the beef shawarma wrap and the chilli fries. The person at the cash who took our order didn't look like she wanted to be there. When we ordered the chilli fries she asked how spicy we wanted it and my boyfriend asked for non spicy which she then said "so garlic only"? We misinterpreted what she meant, we later found out that it means garlic sauce only on the fries and no chilli, even though we paid for chilli fries... That's mainly our fault for not understanding what she meant but it would have been nice if she explained it a bit more. The beef shawarma wrap was huge, it has good portions but the beef was bland and dry.

These people either don't know how to read instructions or willfully disregard them. Twice I ordered and both times they did not follow my instructions. The first time I told them the dish should be vegan (it was Falafel on the Rocks) and they smothered it in tzatziki sauce (non-vegan). The second time I explicitly said not to put any sauces on the dish so that even someone who doesn't know what 'vegan' means (which is shameful in this day and age) would be able to follow the instruction. They did the same thing, except on top of that they also didn't give me any pita with my hummus (the item description said 2 pitas come with the hummus) and the box was damaged when it arrived (though tbf that could have been the fault of the delivery person). Call me crazy but I don't think illiterate people should be taking written orders.

If you are looking for the best chicken on the rocks in Mississauga, you definitely need to try Lazeez at Creditview and Britannia Rd, the other Lazeez chains are no where near as good as this location. Whenever I have a craving for chicken (Lazeez) on the rocks I come here. Their white garlic sauce is one of the best garlic sauces you'll have. You can have the chicken shawarma on rice, fries, half rice and half fries or in a wrap. I prefer the rice as its less messy and easier to eat. The décor is nothing too fancy with seating for about 20 to 30 people with CP24 playing on the TV by the cashier. There are lots of other items on the menu you can try and it is reasonably priced. Definitely give this place a try. Note it does get pretty busy during the rush lunch/dinner hours.

They've made a name in Mississauga for making one of the best shawarmas and chicken on the rocks in town. It's nice that they have several restaurants across the city without sacrificing their menu items like a lot of chain restaurants had. This place looks a bit old and seems like it needed some upgrades or renovations inside. Don't be mistaken by the looks however because their food makes up for it! I ordered a Lazeez on the rocks with a large shawarma. He shawarma was LARGE and was packed with a nice assortment of toppings (i.e. onions, pickles, turnips, olives, lettuce, tomato). The chicken on the rocks had a generous portion of chicken and was loaded with their delicious sauce on top. Seriously, you need to try their sauce! I absolutely love chicken on the rocks and I think this is probably the best place to get it if you're also a fan.

Kind of disappointed of the food here at Lazeez. I expected something fresh and vibrant but in the end was left with a soggy mess, lacking textures and flavors which was all muddled by the over excessive house sauce. We ordered a chicken shawarma platter and a medium lazeez on the rocks and just let me say that getting the platter alone is enough for two people. While the value is excellent and over the top here, there's plenty of salad, and potatoes, I just couldn't eat that much food because it was extremely heavy from all that sauce. I felt a bit sickish even. There's just too much sauce there, if I do return I'd request less sauce but the foundation of the food here wasn't up to par either. Spicy levels here is determined by how much (red spicy) sauce they add. The spicier, the more sauce there is. The rice was a bit too wet, and wasn't that fragrant, while the chicken was pretty flat and lacked a roastedness to it.The sauce could have been more garlicky and there wasn't any hummus in the platter! I didn't know they could serve middle eastern food without hummus. As I said they do give you a lot of salad and potatoes as well, but you're better of just sticking with the on the rocks option to maximize the value here. It didn't help that the person taking our order here input the wrong thing and had to fix it after telling him.

Not all locations of a chain resto are the same, and this is definitely the best one for Lazeez. The man who used to make the BEST wraps at Osmow's OG Streetsville location - leading to their crazy success - branched out and opened this restaurant. Their wraps are good, but it's their chicken on the rocks that's the clear star. You can find a lineup to the door at busy times - and it's worth the wait! Every single time I've been here, my order has been exactly the same in terms of taste, quality & quantity. Don't expect amazing service or a lovely interior - this is a super casual, focus-on-your-food kind of spot, and it works!

Chicken on the Rocks? More like Chicken on thin Rice! Get it like youre on thin Ice, seriously this is Lazeezs on the rocks now. So cheesed

Back in 2014 i gave them a 5 STAR, I was hyping this place up they can do no wrong. Oh i was wrong!!!! Oh how the mighty has fallen. So yeah they opened other locations franchise wise. Yes the franchise's shouldn't be as good as the Original location but somehow the 10th line and Thomas location is doing it right old school wise. Dont go to Argentia i was there the other day ordererd a chicken on the rocks and the chicken was effing cold and the chicken shavings contained tendons and bones a first for me to experience such a thing. Now back to this location, i came here today for redemption from my experience at the Argentia location. But once again i was disappointed. First off i asked the young cashier if they had lentil rice like 2-3 times and his response was him pointing to the containers saying this regular and large sizes WTF moment number 1. Said eff it get me a chicken on the rocks regular size please. Next the dude assembling my meal was a young buck too and he was a stingy mofo woth the rice and chicken lile WTF moment 2. Chicken on the rocks - lots of rice buried with chicken and sauce it up. Look at my picture its some rice and chicken and a lil bit of sauce. I cant recommend this place anymore theyre inconsistent with quality and quantity. Theyre shell of their former good times. With that being said their Crown is up for the taking. If somebody can creat that magic they had 3-4 years ago slide my DM. In the mean time theres a lot of other options available around that area. $8 chicken on the rocks is not as a good deal like back in the days. I give them 2 stars cause i urge them to go back to their old ways. For reals Christmas holidays and theyre living that scrooging it up Yelpers if you know a good substitute holla at me

That's how it looks at night

Tried their Falafel wrap... Wasn't really that good... Dry from the inside and not really extra hot as asked for... My cousins had the Chicken Shawarma wrap, and according to them, it was okay... When they first came here they became a fan of this place, but I believe there is an inconsistency in taste to it now...

    They call this souvlaki dinner

Please see picture of what they call Souvlaki here. I asked them that this is not souvlaki but they insist it is. 45 mins after I placed my order it was not ready. And I waited another 15 mins while they prepared it. They are high on something and just not really comprehending anything. Last time I'm wasting money here

When we had first walked-in, we were surprised to see how small the restaurant was. However, we then noticed that most of the guests were doing take-out as opposed to dine-in. We were able to find a table for four, which was perfect for us. When we walked-up to the front counter to place our order, we were greeted by a kind hostess, whom took our orders without any issue. We then sat down, and watched as our orders were being prepared. We had to wait about fifteen minutes for all of our meals to be ready. We were surprised to see that the margarita pizza had olives on it, despite not seeing it on the menu. However, we just scooped them off since my children didn't want to eat the olives. For the falafel and kabab wraps, we were surprised to see how large they were, and for only $10.00! The kabab wrap (which I had asked for without onions), had two large pieces of kabab, which filled the wrap, along with the sumac and tomatoes. I enjoyed how tasty the wrap tasted, along with how filling it was. My mother also commented on how delicious the falafel tasted. Considering the prices that we had paid, we certainly go our money's worth! The service was also excellent, as we were brought our wraps directly to our table, while the pizza was placed on the table near to our table. Everyone was kind and considerate, making our stay a pleasant one. There were so many menu items to choose from, it was hard to narrow it down. Will definitely be back to try other items the next time around!

It was decorated beautifully, with chic artwork and beautiful music playing on the speaker. We had made reservations in advance however, we then realized that reservations weren't necessary, as the restaurant only had guests at 2-3 tables at that time. We were greeted by a server, whom then brought us to the table that was reserved for us. Upon first being seated, we noticed that this particular server wasn't too friendly; she would complete her duties as required however, she seemed bothered, and didn't seem to be enthused to be serving us. Nonetheless, after placing our orders, we then waited patiently for the food to arrive. We had first settled on the calamari fritti, which were, too overcooked. They were much more crunchier than they should have been, tasting only somewhat more appetizing when dipped in the accompanying sauce. For our main dishes, I had settled on the veal masala with a mushroom sauce, with a side of vegetables and one potato (which I found a bit odd). The veal was tender, however, there was hardly any of it, along with the potatoes, which consisted of, only one potato. The vegetables were plentiful though, which was what filled me up. My mother had settled on the chicken, which one again, had one potato, and too much cream sauce. The pasta that my daughter ordered had a lot of meat in the sauce however, the meat was salty, and the pasta didn't have enough salt on it. Considering the price that we had paid, we were expecting a better array of food alas, we were disappointed. We even asked if complimentary bread was given, with the waitress looking confused. Overall, this restaurant had a great vibe to it however, we didn't find the server to be inviting, along with the food, which wasn't too appetizing. We wouldn't come back to this restaurant, and would reconsider our options for the next time.

It's not really a trendy place, with the decor and the menu that could easy fit into 2005 seamlessly - but that's not a bad thing. When we came, they had an anniversary special for $39 which came with an appetizer, a main and a dessert. Both my wife and I opted for it. For appetizers, we chose: a beet salad and a crab cake. For entrees, my wife went with arctic char with roasted potato and veggies. I went with butternut squash ravioli. And for dessert we both got creme brulee. The quality of the ingredients and the food preparation really stood out. My wife absolutely loved her fish and said it was the best she's had in awhile. The sauce from my ravioli was so good that I took the remainder home. We were very happy with the service throughout. It all comes down to execution. If you were to read the menu, it looks pleasant enough, but it might not jump out you either. But I can say that if they're consistent, you will really enjoy your meal and probably have your expectations exceeded.

The first course was Labneh with bread, hummus, & beef tartare. Second course was Lamb pide & pear salad. Third course was grilled branzino, middle eastern fried chicken, black truffle rice, and thrice cooked fries. Then there was dessert which was chocolate mousse cake & baklava. Because of my many food allergies the main server for our table was very attentive & specific in asking me what I wanted as modifications. For example I got a wagyu beef pide instead of the lamb. Every dish was really delicious, presented well & quite filling. I couldn't eat all of the food. Though I tried almost everything. Service: The pacing of the dishes was quite masterful. They really paid attention to when the food was going to come out. As I mentioned above the main server was very attentive to my food allergies. I really appreciated that as some restaurants aren't as attentive. The food was served family style so everyone could take what they wanted from the serving dishes. The dishes were served in little bowls along the tables with each bowl serving about 4 people. We had asked for one long table so it was a little snug. But we made it work. Ambiance: For dinner the lighting of the space is really dim. LOL. I would have appreciated just a little bit more light. The restaurant is in an old building so to use the washroom you had to go down two flights of stairs. The dining area is small also. But it's a pretty space. As mentioned above we asked for one long table to seat 15 people. I was expecting square tables but it was a bunch of small round tables pushed together. So the tables were really crowded with food from all the dishes. But the servers made sure to take empty serving dishes away as soon as possible. The music was a little loud for me so I had to yell to be heard. The place was packed though. Everyone at our table enjoyed the food, the service & atmosphere. The restaurant is close to Roy Thompson Hall & the other theatres nearby so it's a convenient location as well. It's too bad this place is only open for dinner. I would have loved to see how they would operate a lunch time service. In any case, Byblos was amazing. I would come back here again to try other dishes! We arrived around noon on a recent Saturday and the place was completely empty. A group of four fairly loud men showed up shortly after us and inexplicably sat at a table near us, but that's obviously not the restaurant's fault. The menu contained plenty of tasty-looking entrees, but I figured I'd grab the dish with the name of the restaurant in it: the Tarboosh ("Combination of shawarma and falafel"). The concoction arrived to the table quite a while later, which was weird considering how empty the joint was, and sure looked impressive. I dove right in. Everything on the plate was tasty but not mind-blowing. The chicken shawarma had a few crispy pieces, which was appreciated, but was mostly unreasonably dry. (The two included sauces helped with that, at least.) The falafel was fresh but strangely light. It didn't really have a strong flavor of anything, really. I enjoyed eating it, but it definitely didn't remind me of traditional falafel. The hummus was creamy but lacking in a strong chickpea flavor (i.e. the concoction was overwhelmed by tahini, essentially). However, once I began eating everything together, I began enjoying everything a lot more. The included bread help, too, even though it was far from the best middle-eastern bread I've ever had. Tarboosh is a mixed bag, that's for sure. If you're in the area, it's worth a try. I don't think I would travel to far to check it out, though.

We were fortunate as there was one table open in this quaint cozy establishment. Boris, one of the owners, welcomed and seated us. He is extremely friendly and polite. His wife, Sonya, is the cook. I give 101% for service! The food was delicious and perfectly prepared. Portions are large. Everything so fresh. Another 101%. Great ambiance in this elegant dining establishment and would be amazing for a romantic dinner out!

It is a small family restaurant. has a lot parking places on front and beside the restauran. The environment was very welcoming. The owner and his partner greeted us friendly and smiling. We ordered a mixed plater which was for more than three people. The owner offered us a woody plate with prosciutto crudo and salami that was so good. Then we had a bigger woody plater with mixed meats which was so good grilled and abundant, fresh with chevapi, chicken breast, veal steaks potatoes and so on. The flavors was outstanding. We had the homemade pita bread excellent, warm and soft with some dipping starter. The salad with fresh tomatoes, cucumber, peppers and red onion. Outstanding dishes. I think this restaurant is a very hidden gem. It might be the best Mediterranean restaurant in the city. Highly recommended
