And I've moved cities about 8 times post college. Finding someone who does a natural looking blonde highlight is pretty difficult to find. I absolutely hate chunky highlights and brassy overtones. I also hate uniform color highlights. You will get none of those with Sovay. I'm so glad that I found Sovay and highly recommend her, especially if you have blonde hair. She is a hair wizard! She is especially detail oriented and is very skilled at a multi-dimensional light blonde. Her cuts are also fantastic - nice long layers and framing. Since going to Sovay, my hair is much longer and healthier. I think that's a combination of her advice on products (LOVE k18!) and by putting in such fine highlights, she minimizes the overall processing and damage.

Ignoring a concern involving client privacy and misinformation shows a lack of accountability and professionalism. Clients should be able to trust that personal matters and conversations connected to a salon visit remain private and are not repeated or acted on without verification. What I left with was a nightmare--my hair chopped drastically short, front above my jawline, sides straight, and nothing like the photos. When I pointed this out, she casually said it would "look like the pictures in 8 weeks." I was shocked and humiliated. During the haircut, she even told me twice not to cross my legs--something I've never experienced at any salon. I asked to switch stylists, and was told I'd have to pay extra, even though the issue was not my fault. Ruby then claimed that because I agreed to a graduation in the back--which she suggested--she had to ignore my other requests. I cried in my car on the way home, devastated. $160+tax for a ruined haircut and a traumatizing experience. I can only hope no one else has to go through this. Without exaggeration, this was the worst salon experience of my life.

I arrive to my appt and find I was moved around to another stylist Ruby. Not a huge deal but odd. Ruby was nice and welcoming but did jot down a great job with the cut. It was very uneven (pictured). I left the salon with a curl so it took a day to notice it was uneven. I call back on 09/13 asking for an adjustment. Lisa tells me to come in 09/17 and my original stylist Jamie will fix it (over a week after my initial haircut). I show up and they have no record of my appt or conversation with Lisa. They tell me Jamie is unavailable and I can wait for another stylist or come back another day. I opt to wait. The stylist was nice but slightly gaslighted me into telling me my hair wasn't that bad. As a final straw the parking validation did not work and I had to spend $13 to get my hair fixed after the original haircut $75 + $15 tip. I will not be returning.

I can't remember his name but he gets you quickly checked in and rebooked each time. They have complimentary coffee, drinks, snacks, etc. and comfortable chairs to wait in.
