Awesome drinks with a great vibe. Upon entering the brightly lit restaurant Reyla, the host guided us to the basement where Laylow resides, a dark and cozy contrary to upstairs. I was excited to see the Christmas decor and the seasonal cocktail menu did not disappoint. The friendly server helped us pick our drinks and each one was delicious. It felt intimate and the perfect place to catch up with friends, though I can't wait to come back when a DJ is there. Very cool and unique spot!

It was great spending my birthday at Laylow! Located in downtown AP, three of us came here after dinner and had a fun time. I love that the drink menu comes in a CD case. They have a bartenders choice drink and you can pick the flavor, which was an awesome twist! Drinks were well crafted and vibe was immaculate.

Been here twice now. Both experiences were good. The ambiance is super cool and dark. They have cool seating and bar seating too. In addition to their cocktails they offer some snacks/light bites. I got a gin drink that was strong! Service is good. Sometimes there's a wait but surprisingly it was a Friday at 9:30 pm and we got in rather quickly.

As far as speakeasys go, this was about what I expected. It was dark, in a basement, and had fancy cocktails. It is actually dark enough that instead of having a little candle on the table, they give you a whole flashlight. If you were alive in the 90s, it might make you feel a certain way about your age - the menu is inside of a CD case and the bill comes clamped into a cassette case. The cocktails were excellent and not outrageously priced. However, the main downside is having to wait in the restaurant upstairs, which feels like the cafeteria in a bus station.

Neat little place below the Reyla restaurant. The theme is music with the menu being in the CD case and the check coming in a cassette case. It's a nice place to have a couple of drinks with friends as they have comfy seating options all around from couches to swings to lounge chairs. When we went, the service was kinda slow as it seemed there was one guy waiting on all the tables in the place. There are so many cool drink options here. This time around, I went the non alcoholic route and really enjoyed my pineapple/ ginger beer drink. They have custom drinks as well for both non alcoholic and alcoholic. Definitely a place you should try out in Asbury!

We just went for our second time for an after dinner cocktail. We arrived early and we seated immediately which was appreciated. Our waiter was chill and friendly and service was prompt. I ordered the "In and Out of the Garden" tequila cocktail and it was easily of one my favorite drinks ever. Drinks are definitely pricey but not unexpectedly for the area and the quality. Love the dark moody vibe downstairs and can't wait to eat at Reyna next time.

Had to try this place out, it was pretty cool and a good vibe. Great for date nights and with friends. It's located downstairs in this one restaurant which was cool. The drinks were a little strong and kinda pricey but one drink would get the job done. The employees were friendly as well

Cute place with a menu filed with specialty cocktails, no beer or wine on the menu. I was able to ask for a beer and they had 3 options. I choose one. The place itself is adorable & dark. The low lights make for a great date night spot. I would definitely come back for a date night. Service was pleasant. Our waiter overly checked on us for a small place just serving drinks. If you're looking for a place that's romantic, this is the place for you.

Absolutely in my return list!! Hip hop music playing and the scenery was soo dope!! The service was great and the bartender did a great job with mastering this delicious drink! So upset I didn't get the pic ..we were chopping it up so lovely!

Stopped in to grab a drink with some friends after dining at Reyla for brunch. Loved the dark ambience and speakeasy vibe. It truly felt like you were being transported to the 1920's when the staff brought us downstairs. The menu features many different speciality cocktails and includes a couple mocktail options. Also had an option to create your own drink! Will definitely be back to try a couple more drinks off the menu!

Honestly I was not impressed with this speakeasy... the entrance and ambience on route as well as walking into the speakeasy is pretty cool, dark inside and very much speakeasy vibes. The drinks are very limited and pricey! Especially for the area... I was not impressed... There is NO FOOD! Giving 3 stars because the service was friendly and quick, accommodating but limited in their offerings; which I wouldn't say is on them, unless they own the place...

It's in Asbury Park. I live in Jersey City. It's an hour and ten minutes away. Jersey City has bars, but not like this one. Drove down in the pouring December rain right after work last week. It's always a blast to go for Sleighlow and Leilow, Christmas vibes and tiki vibes respectively. The drinks are amazing and the ambience is top notch. It's a true speakeasy, not that half hearted stuff you see everywhere now. The staff are super cool and attentive. If you find yourself nearby (2 hours or less), come on by and check it out!

Cool little speakeasy concept in the basement of Reyla. You just go to reyla and lay low has their own host to bring you down. This summer was a tiki theme with tons of rum drinks including a strong and tasty Mai Thai. The trail mix is housemade and pretty solid. My tequila drink came in a fish but didn't have a ton of tequila flavor. Our server was great. We will be back.

Being located right along the river in downtown Asbury provides a scenic backdrop should you be so lucky be seated at a window. My birthday was very fortunate having landed on restaurant week in Asbury, of which Moonstruck also participate. As part of restaurant week, we received three-courses for the same cost as entree ordinarily would on its own. I began with a cream of sweet potato soup that was thick, creamy, and delicious. This was followed by an everything crusted Salmon that I very much enjoyed. I find that while a lot of restaurants offer salmon, few prepare it as well as the offering Moonstruck has here, being perfectly cooked and well seasoned with everything seasoning. It was topped off with a pumpkin cheesecake that was just sweet enough to satisfy. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Moonstruck and will certainly be making a return visit when back in the area!

My short rib ragu was actually delicious. Unfortunately, my wife saved me half her chicken dish and the piece I ate turned out to still be raw. I stopped eating once I noticed, but the damage was already done. Also, quick PSA on the dirty martini: it's shaken with blue cheese and comes out looking more like blue cheese dressing than a martini. Definitely not for everyone, so just know what you're signing up for.

Pascal and Sabine not only has some of the best cocktails and bartenders in Asbury but possibly NJ. I have been countless times with my wife, my kids, large groups you name it. My favorite way to experience Pascal is to sit at the bar get a couple cocktails (The Jackal is a staple), the Madame Smith Burger (my wife gets the Mr Smith) the fries are amazing, and maybe the escargot and just enjoy. Lovely hostess, great round bar seating with huge windows for people watching, and a genuinely charming and attentive bartender (Mike). We started with oysters from Newfoundland and cheese off the happy hour menu -- both great. My mom loved her lavender French 75 (a drink special), and my white wine was perfect (the name escapes me at the moment). The garlic soup deserves awards. I first had it two summers ago and still think about it -- I made my mom try it and she immediately understood my rave reviews. For entrées, her burger was cooked perfectly medium-rare, and my fish & chips absolutely hit the spot. Both came with generous portions of house-made fries and an unexpectedly addictive house honey-mustard. We had enough fries for leftovers, and I even asked for extra mustard to take home. Food, service, atmosphere, lighting, noise level -- all dialed in. A 10/10 experience!

Didnt partake in $25 valet parking but was sorely tempted. The indoors are beautiful, white walls and pretty decorations, large bar. Service: Terrific. 5 stars. Julia was awesome, helpful and honest. I did tell her I cant eat spicy stuff although I enjoy lightly spicy stuff. Drinks: I tried the Lebanese red wine. Very nice medium body. My husband tried the old fashioned which he said were good. Starters: we had the salatim which is 6 different dips and two piping hot large pita breads. I liked 4 out of 6 dips while hubby liked 5 out of 6. We both loved the hummus, salad, lima bean, and eggplant ones. This kind of eating is always fun. The discovery! STAR: The star is the halloumi. Fried cheese with lightly sweet crispy crust honeyed and topped with a light refreshing salad and pomenegrate seeds. Our server charmingly apologized she forgot to warn me about the codfish chili being potentially hot but I ended up trying and enjoying it, although I felt the fish was slightly overcooked. Not rubbery but a little too crusty and not flaky enough. I did not complain though because her dessert recommendation for malabi, a custard with oat crisps, was lovely. Nice to share with hubby and cap off the night. Temperature control: we sat somewhat near the front so were hit with cold air anytime someone entered. My husband is recovering from back surgery so walking was difficult for him. I appreciate he planned such a nice outing for us despite his walking challenges. All in all, we would return and explore cocktails and other menu items.

It says on one of their signs "late night bites" but they might've done away with that. I got the tomato & mozzarella panini ($14.) The bread has rosemary baked into it. It was easy to eat - not "too large" or hard bread that roughs up the roof of your mouth. It's the perfect insides to bread ratio. My bf got the chicken salad panini ($15) and THAT was amazing. The berries give it a sweet flavor. He was scooping what fell out of the sandwich with the chips it was that good. I recommend the Honey Boo cocktail if you like sweet flavors and bourbon. The Spicy Bee (I think that was it) was the perfect balance of pepper and orange. There's black & white movies playing on a screen in the corner which had me fascinated and I wish I knew what movie it was. The lighting is low and the decor makes you feel you might be sitting in a speakeasy. 2 drinks and 2 paninis came out to ~ $80 with tip, so it is pricey but it's worth it.
