Myself and 5 family members were excited to try this restaurant this past Saturday evening. As soon as we walked up, we were rudely greeted by a waitress with "we are full"...it was 6:30pm or so and we would have gladly put our name on a list to wait for a table but were not even given the opportunity to do so. I guess they must do a good enough business to not care about new customers or being friendly or inviting. We spend the entire summer in Chelan but will take our business elsewhere. We ended up eating at Tin Lily and it was delicious and the service was great. read more

We tried to come here for a night cap. We are locals and wanted to give Laylas a try. Well, we tried. We got there around 730pm on a Friday evening. It wasn't really busy. We walked to sit at the bar. No one greeted us - we saw three staff walking specifically around the bar. About 3-4 minutes in, a barback put two menus in front of and said nothing. Literally nothing. No water, no hello, nothing. We decided to peruse the cocktails (which are reasonably priced), and we're ready in like 2 min. Silence. No one came to take our order. And it was super awkward as we believe one employee was making a drink for another employee sitting at the bar. So after ten minutes of feeling completely invisible, we just got up and left. And my husband thought maybe if he waited for a second after getting up someone would say something...nope. So...I'm bummed for our experience. Wanted to try something new. read more

Whatever you do don't come here for the overpriced food. You'll get a microwaved school-lunch "quality" pizza, or an overpriced salad it'll be a vegetable salad with a minimum amount of vegetables in it that's cheap and wilted brown, plus soggy quinoa small plate without utensils with an added bonus of long wait times and poor service. If you like ambiance, then this is your place, but then you might as well just rent a chair for $50 an hour to sit there and soak in all the ambiance... at least then you would forgo the poor service. read more

Arrived at Layla's to kick off a bachelorette party weekend for my sister in Chelan. Unsure if our server, Jessica was understaffed or really just didn't care... It was difficult to order anything with her, she would stop by the table and zoom off before we had a chance to really talk to her. We were served the wrong drinks, half the food ordered was good, the Brie came out cold. Jessica didn't come around to ask how our food was and when she was removing dishes from our table I let her know that it wasn't done (we didn't eat much of it), she asked if I wanted them to heat it back up, I said "I would have if you had come and asked us how our food was when we first got it which you never did", to which she replied "ok", glared and literally stormed off. Then she returned and took the brie off the table without asking us... I still paid the $12 for it... I have no problem paying $11+ for drinks and good food, but when customer service is that awful I will avoid a place like this. Which is too bad, it really looks like it has great potential. We avoided it the rest of the weekend and when we are back up in Chelan in two weeks we will avoid it then. read more

As a person with food allergies, the guys in the kitchen were very helpful! They checked on everything and never treated me like I was an inconvenience. I got the gyro and it was really tasty. The owner Dan is a visionary and we really enjoyed our entire experience at Layla's! The cocktails are fresh and creative! I visited this new spot while at a conference. I enjoyed several of their drinks from their specialties menu and I was very impressed with the quality and ingenuity. My group tried the Tapas plate and it was spectacular. Bartender was very friendly, knowledgeable and made great suggestions for other locally owned businesses. Great spot! read more

This is the best bar in Chelan by far! Cute and classy, and doesn't smell like ragrets. I've never had a strawberry mule before but it was delicious. Their flat bread is amazing too. The staff is so wonderful and welcoming. It's my favorite place in Chelan and I can't wait to come back. read more

I rarely give five stars to restaurants but the experience I had at Layla's was incredible! The ambiance is just absolutely delightful! The staff is engaging, attentive and the food is delectable. You walk in immediately feeling like you are a part of the restaurant. The vibe is warm, cozy and inviting. The plates are on the smaller side which is great because you can indulge in more than one! For me that really provides the opportunity to explore the food at a restaurant. I have uploaded photos of the items I tried. The Banh Mi street tacos are bursting with flavors! I have lived in and visited large cities like Washington D.C, New York, Austin, Chicago, San Francisco and Denver with bustling restaurant scenes and Layla's tacos are the most flavorful ones I have had. The Warm Brie plate melts in your mouth and the Charcuterie Board to me was Layla's way of creating an adventure story for me through the savory goodness of cured meats and rich cheeses. It was more than just meat and cheese on a plate. The manager/owner of Layla's was very involved with his guests, checking to make sure they were getting what they need, were happy and quite frankly just striking conversation to get to know them. That personal touch for me goes a long way. I have been visiting Chelan for the past 8 years and Layla's for me is it! I will go there every time I am back to visit. I really want to like this place because it could be so fun, but the drinks & service need improvements ASAP. My friends & I were in last weekend & tried 4 cocktails: The Spicy Margarita, Pear Mule, Prosecco Mojito, & Old Fashioned. All of our drinks were disgusting. The mojito was so sour I returned it. The head bartender was rude & offered to attempt to fix the drink, but not make me a new one. I had to insist he make me a new drink. I had the Pear Mule instead, but it was so sweet I didn't finish it & didn't want to deal with the rude bartender again. This place won't last with expensive, bad tasting drinks & rude employees. 1 star for great service. 1 star for cool atmosphere. Bartender gave me a very short pour pint which was $6.50. Then the bill came and she charged me $7. Negative 2 stars right there. The shrimp tacos were ok, just 3 tiny pieces of shrimp on a bunch of cheap coleslaw smothered in mayo in flour tortillas. It did the trick. read more
