We stopped in for an appetizer and a drink and whoa was I impressed with my coconut concoction with an edible flower The ambiance was chill in the daytime and a little more of a nightclub feel late night. Overall great service, especially the cocktails, as Chelan is known for its wine...our bartender was very talented, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu!! So many great staff members and the owner Dan is awesome. Great breath of fresh air for downtown Chelan. Their Bahn Mi Tacos are bomb and a great drink selection. Dan does a great job rotating their menu with fun and tasty selections. Be prepared to order multiple food dishes in one sitting. I've been to Laylas more times than I can count over the last several years, review is long overdue. Great staff, drinks, food, and atmosphere. The day we visited, it was a St. Patrick's day. The place was busy, just like you expect bar to be. They had Irish music playing in the background. The atmosphere was great and happy. We had Burnt Brisket Ends Flatbread, Crab Rangoon Dip, Pork Potstickers, Seaweed Salad, beer and The Pom Pom cocktail for my wife. Brisket flatbread was delicious, savory and with little bit of heat. I would like to see bit more brisket on it ain't it's brisket flatbread but I would've ordered if it would've been just bbq pita with no meat, it was tasty. Potstickers were tasty but next time I would skip on them because the dough was little bit to thick for my taste. But other than dough it was good. The Crab Rangoon dip was surprisingly better to me than regular Crab Rangoons you try elsewhere. I like that you can take the chip and dip and grab as much dip on your chip as you wish. Definitely will order the dip again. Sea weed salad was simple and packed with flavor, me and my wife enjoyed it. Beer is beer but Pom Pom was delicious and savory. Definitely recommend the Pom Pom. Over all the place deserves 5 stars. On a busy nigh you would expect bit longer wait time to be served at the same time if you walk in and you see available table, you sit and the waiter will be there to take your order. Getting two stars because it's a nice atmosphere for chelan. Chelan needed a nice cocktail bar. Layla's could be A hit, but had a bad food and service experience. First, there is no happy hour menu. There is a happy hour but our server didn't tell us. We overheard another server telling the table next to us after we had already ordered our food. We ordered the Poke and a shrimp taco. Advertised as poke on top of a bed of greens with wonton chips. It came out and I immediately notice that it is limp pieces of pita instead of wonton chips. I wait for 5 min until the waiter comes back around and ask him why they are pita pieces. They were out of the wonton ... and didn't tell us even though he already knew. My gf was starving so we didn't send it back. I'll also mention that it was a small amount of poke for 13$. Shrimp taco was 2 tiny pieces of ice cold shrimp with mayo on top in a tortilla too big for the contents. We came here to consider as a place for a rehearsal dinner next year. Safe to say it's a no go for us. read more

Enjoyed the food here. We ordered the egg rolls and the Bahn Mi Tacos. The egg rolls had a good size portion, 4 pieces in total. The presentation of the food is thoughtful. The bahn mi tacos were good, the toppings could have been cut down to a bit smaller bite sizes. 2.5 stars really. I have to start off and say that I appreciate the fact that this is local. Drink menu seemed legit. Friendly staff... but. Shrimp tacos as reported by two of our party were cold shimp, with "mayonnaise" dressing. Just not good. Gyro (minus the pita, happy to be accommodated for gluten issues) was flavorless lamb meat, on some shredded lettuce with some sauce was not worth the $13. The coleslaw was okay, redeeming. I liked the watermelon salad. Others ordered the tapas, humus and some tapenade and said it was good. Happy hour house wine was decent. I was happy it was a good wine. The interior of this place was done well. Overall this is not a nearly 5 star spot. It's mediocre at best. read more

Great ambiance, good selection of drinks. For anyone who has food allergies, there aren't really any options. Usually restaurants can accommodate allergies, but if you're dairy/gf this place is not for you. There was only one salad I was able to have, but could not have their dressing and w/o noodles. We stopped in here while in town on one of the first nice weekends. When we arrived there was no one inside and service was so-so. We had to ask a few times for simple items like water and such. Some of the best food I've ever had! Our waiter was very friendly and funny. He attended to all of our needs very timely and politely. The vibe and ambience was wonderful and not too overwhelming/crowded like most bars can be. I ordered the Prime Rib dip and it was probably the best I've ever had. Layla's just opened this month and is easily my favorite bar in Chelan! The owner Dan is the nicest guy and will easily chat you up. Service is fantastic; all of the staff were very attentive. Decor is beautiful, modern, and fresh. The drinks are to die for! Do yourself a favor and grab the signature "Layla" martini. Absolutely delicious and comes with an edible flower, so fun! We went both Friday and Saturday night and each one was packed. There is also a promise of live music in the bar's future! We tried to go here in the evening (one of the few places in Chelan open late), but it was way too busy and customers seemed to stick around for a long time. I know it's brand new, so I'm optimistic Layla's can improve. But they need to make some changes right away to be relevant. First, the seating is sparse and a little bizarre as you walk in. Not very inviting. They have three TVs up on the wall but not enough seating to watch a game so what's the point? The bar is long and good seating with a nice layout, but no TV, strangely, which means you are just staring at glassware and bricks. There's also a computer, boxes, cables, cleaning supplies, and general storage at the end of the bar that just looks ghetto. The food menu looked good and the drink I ordered was adequate. I did find it odd that they don't have a serving table or heat lamp from the kitchen for the servers to retrieve food. I uploaded a picture to show what I mean. These issues are trivial and can all be corrected so consider this feedback for a soft launch. Chelan needs a place like this so I hope they make it more gender neutral and inviting. read more

We visited Layla's during a recent stay in Chelan. By far this bar has the most hip vibe of any place in Chelan. The service was spot on and the food was amazing. So often restaurants try to turn you on to their signature dish only to fall flat on their faces. Not here. We were told the Bahn Mi Tacos were the house specialty so we decided to give them a go. Great choice! They were absolutely incredible. Make sure to try the Espresso Martini. This will definitely be at the top of our list of places to visit next time we are in Chelan. read more
