Mr. Kim is incredibly meticulous and detailed oriented. When altering skirts and dresses, he doesn't just shorten or lengthen them, he thoughtfully adjusts them with your body shape and fit in mind, which makes a huge difference. He clearly knows fabrics well and understands exactly how each material should be cleaned and handled. Although his English is not fluent, he is always friendly and professional and takes great care with everything--from everyday clothing to more delicate items. Turnaround time has always been reasonable, and my clothes consistently come back clean, pressed, and looking fabulous. :)

Pretty decent and quick service…read more I thought the pricing for dry cleaning was good. Since this is my first dry cleaning experience in the area, I cannot compare it to other places. But, the cost for three shirts, two suit jackets, and one pair of pants was about $37. Also, extra points because my items were ready first thing the following day. I'll admit that I originally came here because I needed a pair of pants altered. Unfortunately, I could not use the alteration services because I need 2- to 3-business day turnaround. While I have not tried a lot of dry cleaning places in the area, I have a feeling this will be my go to spot.

On Wednesday,…read more11/19/25 at 1:40pm, My friend went to put up an ad on board up against the wall near the back of the laundromat where people put up ads for renting a room. My friend put up an ad for a room that he rents. The 2 female employees saw his number on the ad; they called him from the Speedy laundromat phone number and harassed him and told him to never put an ad on the board. They yelled and threatened to put any ad of his in the trash can. They only want to keep the ads that belong to their friends on the board. Those 2 female employees, instead of working are always on their cellphones. They are both rude, mean and very demanding, all they do is look at their cellphones. This laundromat needs to hire people who have a little bit of common sense and honesty. Instead of hiring employees that are horrible and disrespectful. My friend blocked the Speedy Laundromat phone number on his phone to stop the 2 female employees from calling him and harassing him again.

Why are the only other reviews from right before Covid or further back? This place is good!…read more I guess everyone went to Zips or other places. Anyway, I dropped 3 dress shirts off to be dry cleaned recently and had 0 problem. My only nitpick is that it feels a little awkward to get the attention of the couple running the business if they're both not right up front. When i came back to grab my shirts, the lady (who I assume does the tailoring) looked like she was resting her eyes and the guy stepped out back to do something and was then in the back of the store for a few minutes. I wasn't in a rush so I didn't mind waiting (despite the kind of crappy Christian music playing on their radio) but they would really benefit from a family friend or just a third employee who is primarily up front to help coordinate, even if business is slow. They're super convenient for me and very affordable, so i'll be a repeat customer. Honestly, give them a shot for dry cleaning if you're nearby; don't believe the 8-10 year old negative reviews.

I went to Number One Cleaners for both tailoring services and dry cleaning for more than a decade…read morefor two reasons: convenience and the fact that they use organic products. Over the years, I've had to, on occasion, bring clothes back in that had been tailored but the alterations weren't quite right. When this happens, I've always gotten the sense that there is resentment on the part of the owner who handles the alterations; almost a disbelief that she didn't nail it on the first try; she agrees to redo it begrudgingly. A couple of weeks before Thanksgiving, I dropped off a pair of black Italian corduroy suit pants that needed to be taken in. I've had these pants for years, and actually had them take them out for me a few years back. A week later, I picked them up, just before Thanksgiving, when I was scheduled to wear them to officiate my sister's wedding. I tried them on the day before leaving for my trip, and they were still a full size too large in the waist, but there was no time to get them readjusted. That's fine; it's not the worst tragedy. But after Thanksgiving, I brought them back in, and pointed out that they were still much too large - a good inch around the waist. Mind you, I paid $45 cash in advance to have the pants altered. This isn't a cheap tailor. Rather than apologizing and agreeing to get it right, the owner who manages the customer service immediately challenged me -- intimating it must be some type of mistake on my part, explaining the complexities of the alterations in a way that made no sense, and even suggesting I might have lost weight over Thanksgiving (which is such a common occurrence, as we all know). Then she took another look at the pants and told me these were not the same black Italian corduroy suit pants I had brought in to be altered just two weeks earlier! To say that I was floored is an understatement. Again, I've provided them steady business over 15 years, and I'm a pretty friendly and pleasant person, just FYI. After I became agitated at being called a liar, not to mention the absurdity of finding some type of replica black Italian corduroy suit pants that had already been altered, she relented and agreed to fix the pants. I picked them up a week later, and they fit well. But to be treated with such blatant disrespect after providing business to this establishment for 10+ years is beyond insulting. I left there and made a vow I will never go back.

So in the meantime I looked up a Laundromat near me in Gaithersburg that had good reviews. Well this spot is all the hype it has gotten. The cards are very similar to a metro card where you can refill the money every time you need to. They have small, medium and large machines that can accommodate even the largest quilt or comforter. The dryers are all huge and hold all of your items in one machine. This facility is very clean, even the bathrooms!
