Today, however, finding a local pharmacy is difficult because so many have closed. Furthermore, the management at the remaining stores isn't like it used to be--familiar and friendly. Most of the major store pharmacies, such as Walgreens and Rite Aid, are being closed or absorbed by giants like CVS. CVS was usually my last choice because it was often expensive, complicated by their ridiculous coupon policies, and staffed with unfriendly associates. I've asked several people, and they agree with these criticisms. Now, we are left with essentially one option: an unfortunate oligopoly.
