I can't say enough good things about Tech Automotive in Charlotte. I first brought my car in for a…read moreradiator issue and water pump replacement, and the service was quick, affordable, and professional. A couple of days later, my car started overheating again. I called them, and without hesitation, they told me to bring it in right away. They quickly diagnosed a completely different problem--my thermostat and a faulty sensor. Even though this was unrelated to the first repair, they covered the cost entirely. That kind of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction is almost impossible to find these days. Not only do they have some of the best prices in town, but the team genuinely cares about their customers. They took the time to listen to my frustrations, treated me with kindness, and even gave me a hug before I left. It's rare to find a shop that blends top-notch mechanical work with such compassion and honesty. If you want skilled, trustworthy, and caring professionals to work on your vehicle, Tech Automotive is the place. They've earned a loyal customer for life.

I had a terrible experience at this shop. I went to Chris for a labor only brake job for rear…read morebrakes & rotors (I bought my own parts prior). I was quoted 158 for this job the day prior over the phone and I confirmed at the start of the appointment if that would be the price. My brakes were in poor shape, missing a brake pad on one side and the mechanics spent an extra 15-20 mins working on my cylinder. At the end of the job, Chris informed me that they got air on the line and would have to bleed the brakes. (I've always had my brakes bled at the end of any brake job so this is standard for me to have done whenever I get my breaks done. They told me this would be an extra 120 dollars at the end of the job. My father is a mechanic and said that price was a little high just to bleed the brakes and was very familiar with the procedure. He told me "go call your dad and ask him to send you more money." When I asked if they could take 20 bucks off and knock the price down to 100 from 120 he asked me to tell him how old I was which I thought was rude and uncalled for. I told him I was 30 and he proceeded to say "wow you look 18" and said "one day you're going to have to learn that everything in life isn't free sweetheart." When I went to his office to pay he also said I'm going to have to buy him lunch because they spent extra time working on my car than they planned. Disgusting behavior. I would not recommend this shop to any woman (or really anyone) unless you want to be taken advantage of and upsold. They ended up bleeding one brake so my car would be somewhat drivable. My interior dashboard was also scratched up when I got my car back from them.

I learned how to do everything to my bikes; then cars and anything else I could fix or build. At 55; still love to do things myself, but I can't do everything and I hate taking my cars to dealerships. Next best thing is to find a good independent mechanic. Luckily I happened to find CLTMobile online! I actually invested in a mobile brake repair business about 3 years ago but have often thought how great a full service mobile mechanic would be! I messed up an electrical connection on one of my cars by accident doing some service on it. I could not fix it. My wife needed that car for work within a few days and my time was limited during that time to get it somewhere to get fixed. I called CLTmobile and got an appt booked right away. Mechanic came on time; he was super nice and very knowledgeable. He did a terrific job at a very affordable price! I will definitely be using them for all my automotive needs going forward that I can't fix myself. I love seeing the younger generation building a great and much needed business like this in Charlotte.

I work nearby at Liberty Christian School. It was pick up time when one of the students noticed I had a flat tire. I've experienced so many problems from this same tire for the past few months. I've taken it for plugs and less than a month ago had it replaced for a new tire at multiple chain tire places. To see that it was flat again was a bit discouraging. I have a pump in my car because of so much trouble in the past so after pumping it up, a friend followed me to this haven. They plugged it for $7 and wouldn't take anything for labor (although I tried). I was worried because I feel I've been taken advantage of for so long because I don't know anything about cars. I feel so overwhelmed with gratefulness to my God for these people. I'm praying God will bless for this act of kindness. The tears of gratefulness are flowing now as I write this.
