Coffee is nothing special-- the vanilla latte I got barely had any coffee taste--just sweet fake taste. I also got avacado on toast and it was very bland. Very disapppinted overall. With how pricey everything is, this experience was most certainly not worth the money. Go somewhere else where they put more effort into their food and coffee drinks. Service was fine. Right in downtown Neenah, spacious open shop in old building with original wood floors, exposed brick walls, huge windows looking out on Wisconsin Avenue, this place has SO MUCH CHARM AND CHARACTER. Excellent service. Clean. Lots of seating. Great place to read, study, chill. Superb espresso. My only gripe is no whipped cream (so no con panna!), but it just excels in so many other ways that it still ranks five stars. In addition, there is complementary sparkling water with espresso. Wonderful little coffee shop located downtown in Neenah. This coffee shop is super cute inside with tons of seating options inside as well as some patio seating. They have a small food menu but boy oh boy is it tasty! I had the biscuit sandwich without the bacon and the tropical smoothie. The smoothie was light and refreshing and one of the best smoothies I've had in a long time. The biscuit sandwich was light and fluffy and the scoop of mascarpone on it made it really buttery and delicious. My food and drink came out super fast and the service was excellent. I'll definitely be stopping in again soon! read more

Just had a truly mind-boggling experience experience at Lawless, who I had provided significant support for since their opening many years ago, but will be tethinking my choices in the future. I was told that my order (double cappucino) was not something they would make for me because, and I quote, "we only make traditional drinks here, and a traditional cappuccino is 6oz". When I inquired if they could simply put two cappuccinos into one cup, the cashier, who very speficially told me she IS THE OWNER'S DAUGHTER, clearly indicted that this was just not possible...because, in case I missed it the first two times she said it, "we only make traditional drinks here". I politely called out the misunderstanding, at which point I was told a third time, in a condescending tone...no coffee for you (haha!)! It is incredibly sad and disappointing when this kind of thing happens to a good business, and I hope they correct quickly. In the meantime, if you are looking for a seriously good cup of coffee, zero attitude, and a chill vibe...check out Bedrock...quality product and people. I don't leave reviews very often at all...maybe only a couple ever,, but had to say something in the hopes someone sees this and can help course correct. read more

Favorite café in Appleton! Visited a few times while visiting over winter break - ordered chai lattes for myself and enjoyed the familiar warm drink (great for cold weathers). The grilled cheese is some of the best I've had. Dangerous for lactose-intolerant individuals such as myself but worth the risk haha. All the specialty drinks here are also great, my friends ordered the pistachio latte, hot chocolate, horchata, etc and everyone loved their drinks! read more

The service at Lawlss was spectacular. The people that work there know regulars by name, they are kind and genuinely want you to have a good experience. The food and coffee was delicious too! It is located in a large, multi-business building, so there is a ton of space (it wasn't crowded during covid times, we had our pick of tables to sit at)! A great atmosphere and food. Just moved to town from Portland, OR. I only drink decaf so finding a well made decaf is historically challenging in smaller areas but Lawlss' decaf espresso and whole beans taste great! My husband and I have purchased whole beans and lattes from them and think it's the best coffee in Neenah, by far. Definitely appreciate their approach to coffee and their shop aesthetic, feels like we are back on the west coast. My toddler also loves their blueberry scone. read more

My latte was perfect- milk steamed to sweet perfection and the dark roast brewed to get the subtle notes of the coffee. By far the best cup of coffee that I've found in the area. I also had the breakfast biscuit which with smoked bacon and arugula onboard combined to make a very tasty morning treat. Highly recommend! I look forward to coming back next year when I'm in town. Great coffee and service every time I visit. They have special menus that alternate with the seasons. Ample seating and a VERY CUTE SPOT for your aesthetic coffee snaps. I've stopped in a couple of times for cold brew (nice & strong) but recently stopped for lunch. Their turkey club was fantastic! Came from out of town and had to come back the next day it was so good! Everyone is so happy and energetic. They were so helpful. I got their PSL and it was SO yummy. I love having a coffee shop in downtown Neenah. It's essential really. And I've given this one a number of tries. Maybe it's not Lawlss' fault but compared to its predecessor Timshel, it's subpar. The food is worse; not as fresh and tasty. It's coffee is okay. It's pricing is too high. Do yourself a favor and go just down Commercial to Shelatte's for better food, better pricing a d better ambience. read more
