Cold day. Drove past this place many times, decided to stop in, have a warm beverage, and get some work done on my iPad. Impressed! Really relaxing vibe. 3 separate rooms and a used book store to chose from as your spot to enjoy your coffee, tea or whatever. Storefront room is more like a cafe with tables and a counter that looks out towards the road. The other rooms are much more like your living room. Couches, comfortable chairs and wooden tables. While in town I wanted a mid morning treat before lunch and nothing big so I jumped on Yelp to find a local place to see what they are serving to the locals and this place looked like it might do. It's on a Main Street with there own lot so parking is ok. I was hoping it would be like the Rocket Baby Bakery in my area with lots of cool options for treats, not at all. It's basically a small cooler with celery/carrots with dip, granola, oatmeal and a couple treats. The place is small and it was full so I couldn't get all the pictures that I would normally get. The treat case was so small the only thing that was treat worthy for the most part was the Pistachio tart so that's what I had. The pistachio tart was good looking with the green and white contrast. This was tasty with smooth whip creme on top of the creamy pistachio tart filling sitting on a pistachio like gram cracker kind of crust which all worked well. Overall the one treat I got was pretty good but this place has very little treat wise when I was there so if your looking for sweet backed goods with sugary glazes than this is not the place. read more

Very average coffee shop. The building and decor are very cute. The grab and go items are a nice addition. The latte I got was beyond burnt. Almost too acidic to drink, the milk and coffee blend was just hard to the pallet. I added half and half to try and tone down how burnt the coffee tasted. The breakfast sausage egg bake- just not good. Try something else. Bland, chewy and mostly just tasted like old bread with sausage chopped up with a drizzle of egg on top. This is a great little cozy coffee shop. Definitely one of the main reasons I come to Neenah. The coffee is always hot and tasty even if you get a normal black coffee. The specialty coffees/teas/drinks are delicious and you can either get it in a mug there or a to go cup. One of the best things here is the food. I had the mini donuts and they were awesome! All homemade. All delicious. The staff is very friendly and accommodating if you need something made a little differently. It also has never been terribly crowded and if you need to meet up with someone there, its quiet enough that you can talk and they dont try to rush you out. If you want a great place to grab a coffee and get out of the cold, definitely check out Shellattes. read more

Thought it was inexpensive and plenty of food to keep you full (sandwich and two sides - I LOVED the bag of chips so delicious, and the cookie was sooooooooooooooo good, would def try out their bakery items). Customer service. 5+++++++++++++++++++ For reals. They are pretty awesome sauce. Did get busy around lunch. Also, this place is eclectic. I loved the different sitting areas. My friends and I found a spot in an alcove allllllll the way in the back surrounded by books (also for sale). And they checked on us while we were back there! If you like amazing coffee (and let's be real, who doesn't?) this place is the place to go. Why? They combine two of the best things in the history of the coffee world: Alterra Coffee Roasters Espresso and a Rancilio MANUAL lever espresso machine. The manual machine gives these guys more control over their espresso than you'll be able to get ANYWHERE. Though the machine can make great coffee and the staff pulls great shots, occasionally their milk frothing can leave something to be desired (you know, it depends on who is working). They also have one of the largest flavor lists IN THE WORLD (this is not an exaggeration) and their sugar free offerings are out of control, helping you, of course, maintain calorie control. Because the machine can make such divine espresso, you can drink a lot more of it in a drink without the drink getting bitter or gross. This is good if you have a lot of stuff to get done and you need some caffeine to inspire you. Because of this, I'd recommend getting 1 or 2 more shots of espresso in your drink than you would normally get: e.g. a 3 shot 16 oz, or a 5 shot 20 oz. Also, they have Rishi tea, which is, hands down, the best tea around. And it is from Milwaukee, so it's a Wisconsin company, which is rad. The atmosphere is somewhat lacking... it's sort of like a coffee shop meets your grandmother's house, but get over the decor and get some awesome drinks. read more

I randomly stumbled into this cafe/used book store a couple years ago when visiting my parents in Neenah. Now I came back at least once every time I visit. In fact, my mom is now hooked on this place and is a regular customer.. So much now that they know her when she comes in. That also speaks to the friendliness of both the owner and the people who work here, who seem to greet their regulars with genuine welcomes. No Starbucks barista snootiness at this place! This coffee shop is cute with cozy spaces decorated with funky bric-a-brac. The coffee is good. But what makes this a place I return to is Shelley, the owner. She is friendly and outgoing but, more significantly, she takes care of her customers. On my first visit, I ordered a breakfast item which didn't match my dietary preferences, something I didn't realize in advance. When Shelly saw my barely eaten item, she insisted on bringing me something else at no charge. On another visit, I was out of cash and didn't realize that I couldn't use my debit card for a purchase under $5. Shelley insisted upon giving me my coffee at no charge and asking me to pay the next time I am in. And I WILL be in again!! read more
