I got an iced Chocolate-covered strawberry mocha and it was AMAZING!!!! They have a huge menu but it's not overwhelming. They also have every syrup flavor you can imagine along with Lotus energy drinks, dirty sodas, and smoothies. This is an amazing place to bring your whole family as they have drink options for everyone. Baristas were super friendly and made the effort to carry my coffee out to me. I'm barista myself and I'm incredibly impressed with this place. Props to the owners! I hope they get tons of business, and reach their target audience!!! read more

Way larger inside than I was anticipating. Plenty of space for you to enjoy coffee and breakfast with friends. The coffee was delicious as was the food! I won't be visiting often as it isn't close to home and was rather a stop on my journey, but would highly recommend if you are in the area. read more

No More! I gave this place plenty of chances, but they never improve. Grumpy Staff, mediocre coffee and the prices are too high what they offer (in every way). The atmosphere is ok- nothing special.. It does offer plenty of space if that is what you are after.. But this leaves the area feeling 'oversized' and not the cozy/warm atmosphere I desire in a coffee house. (which may differ from person to person). I could look past the environment if the staff acted as if they wanted to be there and not like you placing your order is an inconvenience to them.. It is truly an uncomfortable and irritating transaction to order your drink with the service as it is. And as I said, the coffee is 'ok'- but the prices are foolish. They charge for every little thing! I would save my money and go to a neighboring town (even if it is a bit of a drive) where you will find a friendly face to greet you (as if they appreciate you as a customer) an atmosphere that is surely more 'cozy and an overall experience that leaves you looking forward to coming back.. Familiar Grounds is not that in any way!! If another coffee shop moves into town and functions as a welcoming coffee shop should- I see a mass exodus out of this place.. Coffee wasn't terrible, but the prices were high. Along with the fact that they filled my cup to the top with ice, and left me with 2 sips of coffee. It's a bummer because the coffee did taste good, there was just none actually in the cup. Won't be coming again. read more

Overall atmosphere of this place is great, cozy, and comfortable. The costumer service is where I have my problems. The workers are rude and grumpy. When they deliver the food they almost throw it on the table and walk away in a stomp. They never have a smile on their face and don't say a thing, just give you an annoyed glare and walk away. Don't order your food here unless you like to be made feel an inconvenience! The food is okay tasting, but my drink has come in the wrong size every time i've come here. Please don't go wasting your money on this overpriced food and just go to Kwik trip or Mcdonald's. read more

I've been here several times. Nice strong coffee and a variety of specialty drinks. I like the bakery options and the fact they have a few menu items like quiche. It's a pretty big open space, almost too big. I wish there would be a section that would be made to feel cozier for in-store dining and drinking. The outdoor seating is great though. I did have one strange experience where my cappuccino to go had no foam and it was almost watery/milky on top. I was already down the road headed out of town before I tried any, so that's why I couldn't ask about it. Not going to ding them on any stars though because perhaps the barista just miss heard me or was new. One last tip: on several occasions I picked up day old bakery at a reduced price. Bagels and I think biscotti or a scone, which tasted absolutely great to me. read more

Passing through New London and looking for a late lunch. Husband and I shared a cranberry chicken salad sandwich and a slice of broccoli cheese quiche. Both were delicious and good size portions. My son had a French onion soup and salad. Also yummy. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and there were large size family games set up to keep us busy until our food was ready. New London, Wisconsin. This place gets 5 *'s mostly because it's hard to find anyone who can make a decent latte in these parts. The coffee had good flavor and they don't overdo the milk. The extra large size however is a bit milky even with 3 shots. It's nice that they don't try to ruin it with flavor syrup or serve it in a glass cup (I really HATE that). I had a pesto panini that was quite good, I liked the thin sliced toast. It was actually better than the pesto panini I had at the Green Fountain Inn a few days ago and that is really a compliment as the GFI is probably the best tasting lunch in this area. There usually is an assortment of chocolate truffles in the case but today only one type. Nevertheless it was excellent, I don't think there is another place around here that offers higher end chocolates. Service today was quick and friendly, I've had days here when they were busy and trying to keep up, but they acknowledge my presence, I appreciate that. read more

Good coffee, great quiche and bakery. All the quiches are home made, as is most of the bakery. There's also a gift shop concentrating on locally made crafts. There are also many areas for meeting and hanging out. The new owners are concentrating on making this a great meeting and gathering place and even in its early stages, this shop delivers. read more

My wife and I frequently drive through New London on the way to visit her parents. Every time we have time we make sure we stop, get a drink and get some grounds for home. I am addicted to coffee and this is my haven. They also have shipped coffee to me if I haven't been through in awhile as long as I call it in and pay for shipping. The atmosphere is great, especially on a cold winter day - post up with your warm drink by the fire place. Also, some great gifts can be purchased in their gift store. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I love, love, LOVE this place! Every time I stop in for coffee or a panini or soup, I end up walking around the whole shop exploring all the fun gifts they offer. Beautiful home decor, accessories, jewelry, greeting cards, you name it! I also appreciate the ample seating available for sitting down and catching up with someone. AND a children's play area! Coffee is good, nice atmosphere... But there appears to be simply not enough help. The wait for coffee around morning and noon times is just too long. If there are 3 people in front of you and you're on any kind of schedule, you might want to think twice. read more
