The enjoy in quotations is because what would have been a five star experience was knocked down due to the chips and salsa. The salsa was blah but still bordered on overly sweet, and the chips were funky. I mean they were so funkadelic that they tainted our enjoyment of the cheese sauce, and by all that is holy in the Cheesehead state, you don't detract from cheesy deliciousness with sketchy chips. So Mexico Grill & Bar, fix that flaw. Now, I had the Azteca Special and my husband went with the Burrito Fiesta. Both had the right perfection of flavor and were decimated: no to-go boxes needed. My husband also had fried ice cream for dessert. It's been years since he's had a proper fried ice cream that's actually deep fried that he almost cried with delight when they brought it to him. He devoured it in no time.

Chips and salsa were warm and just needed a good sprinkling of salt. I had the California special which included grilled chicken and shrimp with LOTS of veggies (carrots, squash, broccoli, mushrooms, and onions) in a cheese sauce and rice. The chicken and shrimp were beautifully seasoned and tender, not overcooked and dry. The salad was crisp with more fresh crunchy veggies and a nice sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. Hubby had a steak and cheese quesadilla. Lots of cheese (see photo of cheese pull) and savory fajita steak. Service was thoughtful and had frequent checks for more water or any need we may have had. Atmosphere was friendly with lots of customers. We didn't have a wait even though we got there around noon. We will definitely return and plan on trying more options.

The people working there were just like any kind of person you'd think would work at a bakery. They were nice and sounded happy to serve us. Overall it wasn't a bad experience, but I didn't really like the prices.

I ordered a wedding cake and a New York style cheesecake over a month in advance for my wedding on…read moreJune 3rd. I showed the owner a simple layer cake from their Facebook page with frosting flowers up the side and on the top. I provided a topper for the cake. Nothing fancy. I came to pick it up the morning of my wedding and the girl at the counter looked confused and had to go ask a man that was there about it. He looked around for several minutes also confused then directed her to a cheesecake in the display case that has whip cream on top (which wasn't fresh because the whip cream was no longer set). He said "just give her that one." Then I heard him calling someone in the back to ask where the cake was. As I peer around the corner, I see him getting a cake out of a display cooler that matches a small cake next to it. This cake had cookie-like flowers on the top that were nothing like what I had asked for. My cake topper is not on it. He starts boxing it up and tells me $70. I said, "I know thats not my cake, and I need to get to my hair appt. I will come back and I hope you get this figured out." He says nothing, but the whole time my daughter and I can tell that they didn't have my cake. My hair appt took quite a while, so I directed my husband to take care of it. He went to the bakery (which had finally found my cake topper) and was told that the items they tried to sell me were my order (New York style cheesecake does not have whipcream on it - nor did we ask for it). They said they could wipe the whip cream off , and they told him thats how all of their frosting flowers are made - like cookies that crumble. He mentioned we had shown a picture of what we wanted the cake to look like from their fbook page. He was then told that the picture was of a cake a customer had brought in and that they never made that cake. This blows my mind because why would you have it on your page then - nothing like false advertising. If they couldn't make the cake like what I had shown them when I ordered it - they should have said something at the time! What really happened is they never made my order to begin with and tried to pass off an old display cheesecake and someone else's cake instead and charge me full price - then lied to us about it! I would think twice before ordering anything important from this bakery. I left a comment about the situation on the picture of the cake I had wanted and they deleted my comment and blocked me. Don't believe all of their good reviews - they censor the bad ones.

The cheese curds arrived hot, fresh, and perfectly tasting... absolutely delicious! The old fashions and Bloody Marys were also made to perfection. The bread basket was a nice touch, although as a typical Wisconsin supper club fan, I was surprised the relish tray came at an extra charge instead of being included. The dining experience itself was unique and welcoming. The servers greeted us at the bar and escorted us to our table once it was prepared and the salads were already set out for us. The smoked salmon appetizer was a bit disappointing, as it was essentially a piece of smoked salmon served over lettuce with capers and crackers. My steak had quite a bit of gristle, although the flavor itself was very good. The standout dish of the night was definitely the pork ribs....you can absolutely tell why they are known for them because they were delicious! Overall, I would recommend checking this place out for the atmosphere, drinks, service, and their famous ribs.

I brought them to my dad at the VA Home at King, and everyone tried them and loved them. My dad was so happy to have a childhood favorite his mom and aunts used to make. Another resident talked about his favorite donuts, pączkis. I mentioned to Carmen that another family might reach out for pączkis, and she just made a batch for everyone and dropped them at the VA to "give back to the elders." She is a top-notch baker, and human. Definitely go here and knock at the door if locked--chances are she's there working away at something delightful in the back.

Limoncello Canoli: looked great, tasted like rancid lemon flavoring. The shell was nice. Berry layer cake - SOOOO much red food coloring. Just that artificial-ness!!!
