Thanks to Yelp, I discovered this gem near my hotel. I went there at around 1 pm, the restaurant was just half filled. The waiter was very courteous and gave me recommendations as I only wanted to have Czech food -- I chose Goulash with bacon dumplings for main and Trhanec (Google says it's shredded pancakes) for dessert. Goulash was tender and full of flavour. The dumplings are one of the czech specialties, look like soggy baguette slices but in fact a perfect match with the goulash sauce. I originally wanted to order the pineapple ravioli for dessert, but before making the order the waiter took out another Czech menu and recommended Trhanec. It took a little while to prepare, and when it was served it smelled VERY GOOD! Text can't tell how good it is, the smell definitely made it a lot more delicious. At last I had a main course, a dessert, a beer and a post-meal expresso for less than 400 CZK. For this low price you can't even buy a main course in west Europe!

Found this place on yelp and decided to come by for our final dinner in Prague. Our waitress was fantastic and food was also great! We tried the goat cheese starter and ordered the grilled veggies and garlic break sides as well. All delicious! For our main course I ordered the goulash and my partner ordered the stuffed chicken (daily speciality). The stuffed chicken tasted perfectly and the goulash was also good (I will admit not the best I've had in the Prague). The beer pours are what all Prague restaurants should be and the atmosphere is nice. Average volume. An additional plus was that they had a kids menu! Would definitely come back again.

Recommend dishes: Pork Ribs Recommend dessert: Pineapple Ravioli Those 2 dishes about make this 5 stars in food for me. I ate here 3 times the week I stayed in Prague. It was close to my Airbnb and recommended by the owner. I order the ribs all three times. They're tender and fall right off the bone. The marinade on the ribs are sweet and savory, the menu says spicy, but couldn't taste the spice very much. You're also given a BBQ sauce on the side and which is more on the tangy side. It comes with bread and horse radish, the horse radish is very strong. My wife got the Beef goulash. It was okay, Nothing to rave about BUT the beef in the goulash was really tender! Sister in law ordered the pumpkin risotto. It was a little bland. Desserts I tried all three desserts. Cheesecake, chocolate peanut butter pancake, pineapple ravioli. Chocolate Cheesecake- very rich in chocolate, if you love chocolate and cheesecake, this is your dish. It's put on top of a blueberry coulis and honey nut which add some texture and tart to the rich chocolate sweetness. Pancake- it's a crepe dessert. Don't taste much of the peanut butter. It was a good Desert. My sister in law loved it. I thought it was so so. Pineapple Ravioli- AMAZING! It's light and refreshing. The vanilla marscapone, the thinly cut pineapple, the raspberry sorbet is a perfect 3 some harmony that just sings in your mouth.

Ate here 3 times during our 4 day trip in Prague! Nothing disappointed! Every dish we had was very delicious! Compared to the rest of my trip in Europe, this is the best food with the best price point. -English menu -free wifi -nice outdoor seating -friendly service

I tapped 5 starts and then I asked myself is it really worth it 5? So I went over my personal requirements of what it takes of a restaurant to be just according to my taste, and they include: pleasant, comfortable and well designed/arranged interior; delicious but affordable meals/regular portions (not tiny ones like in many restaurants); free wifi; and good if not great service. This place has it all and it deserves my 5 stars. It is very close to Lipanska tram stop, which is close to my school so I would say it is on a nice location. At the back/end of the restaurant there is an amazingly glass-built nice area that goes to a nice garden with benches (lavicka) I ate chichen with mashed potatoes and had a apple ice tea. Both were super good! Staff is polite, they always smile and not pushy like in many restaurants. Also, they are very fast with the service and food delivery which is important.

Local place with good traditional czech food, will not find tourists here.

I chose Goulash and cheeseburger. The goulash sauce was so salty. So i couldn't eat almost all of them and the cheeseburger's fries were the best. The atmosphere was so good, but the food is the worst food I've ever eaten.

This place was awesome. Randomly found it on Yelp and decided to try it. When I arrived, it was the first place I found in the Czech republic with a wait. I waited; it was worth it. I had chicken with fries for dinner and both were great. I got a cheesecake for dessert and it was phenomenal. Service was also above and beyond. So good.

Very nice interior and the staff can be a hit or miss in terms of friendliness. Our main waiter was very nice but a lady waiter we had a few interactions with was not. The food comes out really slow (30-40 min) and the taste is all right. I got the risotto and it was kind of bland so I had to season it myself. It came out scalding hot though which is nice. The other dishes I saw were presented very well and the prices are a pretty good deal. Enjoy the wifi here.

This spot was recommended to us by our AirBNB host. Glad we checked it out. Came in and were seated right away. Went with their avocado and salmon app that was pretty good. I was a bit surprised to see an avocado dish in this part of the world. For my entree I went with the fried pork slices with a potato puree, pickles and a small salad. The meal was great, but I would have liked some kind of gravy on my potato puree though.

When we arrived, only a few outdoor tables were taken, but was told the rest were reserved, so we were seated indoors instead. When we finished our dinner, the same few outdoor tables were occupied. I don't know why the restaurant couldn't just stagger the guests for the outdoor tables according to their reservation times.

It was my second visit to Prague so I was taking my time to see more than the "must see things." As I said, I stumbled onto the restaurant because I was taking in the park where artists were painting, people were reading and I pulled out my phone to use the Merlin app to identify birds that were singing. It was totally picturesque. But I wasn't hungry. So I regretfully moved on without eating there. Imagine the elation a few days later when someone in our group booked a dinner reservation for us at the same place I was regretting having missed! With a group of a dozen of us, I think someone ordered everything on the menu. We were all thrilled. We had appetizers , cocktails and entrees -- everything we had was great! The restaurant is family-owned and we were treated to the son being a primary server for our group. Now and then dad was part of the picture too and we enjoyed the added dynamic. Pretty sure the son is on point for Americans as his English was on point. They were great hosts!

I truly could live happily on toast, boiled potatoes, fruit, and Diet Coke. I'm also both a vegetarian and someone with a fairly limited palate, so I didn't think Field would be a hit for me. WOW was this an amazing experience! First: gorgeous space. Comfy tables, set far enough apart so we didn't feel crowded, and it didn't get loud. Beautiful artwork on the ceiling. Bright. Cheery. We loved it. We are visiting our son who lives a few hours south of Prague. My husband and son are fabulously adventurous eaters and they gifted me with this outing to Field, a Friday lunch reservation at 1:30 pm. Lunch seems the perfect time to come as the restaurant was not totally booked and we had so much attention from staff, including the front desk, wait staff, sommelier, and bartender. But I'm guessing dinner would be a blast, too. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Our lead waitress was Michaela, and she was the most polished and professional server I've ever met!! We felt so well cared for. In our 3 person party we had me: a vegetarian, and our son who has severe food allergies, to peanuts, pine nuts, and most nuts. 2 of the 3 don't drink any alcohol. Amazingly, it was not a problem at all. In fact, they were prepared!! There was a vegetarian prix fixe menu, with both a large and a smaller option, plus we could order the 'non-alcoholic' version of the wine pairings. So we did. My son had phoned ahead to inform them about his food allergies, and Michaela and the bartender confirmed them when we were seated. The staff was so welcoming and completely knowledgeable about ingredients. They did a fantastic job keeping my son safe, like bringing out his dessert first so it would come close to the 5 other pastries that included nuts. The bartender made him a special cocktail that was hazelnut-free. The 'pesto' was made with pumpkin seeds instead of pine nuts. The staff told us the ingredients of every single dish and cocktail!! And literally showed us! Our waitress brought over a tray that included things like snails, crawfish, and artichokes, and then she told us where they'd sourced them in Czechia! Except the crawfish, as we learned they are a protected animal in Czechia, so they are brought in from Germany. We loved that part, hearing where all of these beautiful ingredients came from. I'll include a few photos from both my vegetarian and their regular prix fixe adventures. The pea soup was my favorite! My son said the deer main dish was the 'best thing I've ever eaten, in my entire life'. I didn't take photos of the non-alcoholic cocktails, but those were lovely. Especially a super fun foamy pomegranate one!
