Went in on 12/29/25 to purchase a 200.00 gift card for my wife. I stood at the reception desk for a solid 4-5 minutes before this lady comes from the back and says " what do you need " with an attitude as if I had the plague. So I tell her I would like to purchase a gift card for my wife. This gal looks at me and states I'm an independent contractor and I can't help you. I ask if anyone else was there that could assist me and she says no, turns around and went back to cutting her clients hair. She was very disrespectful and Rude which is Not Ok. I have found my new salon! Been looking around for a new salon, and after a few recommendations and the help of fellow Yelpers, I made an appointment at Lavish Salon. When I called to make my appointment, the young lady on the phone was super sweet, and asked me all the right questions of what I needed/wanted out of my appointment. As you can imagine though, going to a new salon and new stylist after so many years with the same person, it's nerve racking. Lucky for me though, I was assigned to Kai. I immediately felt at ease as we were talking about what we were going to do with my over grown style, and faded color. As we began the process, I knew this was going to be an awesome experience. Kai is so nice, fun, and knowledgeable. My hair looks AMAZING! And to be honest, it hasn't looked this good in a long time. The salon is so cute and immaculately clean on the inside. I debated leaving a review but I utilize Yelp often and appreciate others reviews so I felt I should. I came a few weeks ago for the first time looking for balayage, when I called I clearly asked for balayage and even when my stylist and I talked before she began I showed her pictures and explicitly explained I wanted a very natural look with absolutely no color at my root Overall, the color the stylist achieved was beautiful however, in no way did I receive the balayage technique. Plainly put I received chunky highlights to my roots. After reaching out to the stylist and hearing nothing in return (which was disappointing) I called the salon. In all fairness the manager offered for me to come back but only after telling me "you must have miscommunicated with your stylist". I didn't, but even I did please don't blame the customer. While I appreciated the offer to come in for my hair to be fixed I overall was disappointed with my experience and unfortunately don't want to risk going back even if it is to "fix" my hair. read more

It was 100% time for a new hair-do, and luckily I was able to squeeze in an appointment with Lavish Salon's hairstylist, Iliana. Lavish is an upscale salon located in Rancho Cucamonga, offering cuts, dyes, and everything in-between. Prior to my appointment I put together a small Pinterest board of the look I was trying to achieve. Iliana shared the ins-and-outs of each of the photos and educated me on the dying process. I ended up going with a darker base, added highlights, and additional layers. The results were identical to the photos I had provided, plus my hair feels healthier than ever! I started going to Dana after being dissatisfied with a previous stylist at another salon. I just felt like my old stylist never wanted to try anything new on my hair because she didn't want to ruin the integrity of my hair... respectful. I have been having a hard time find a good hairstylist and my coworker recommended Jessel to me and she did an amazing job. I DM her on Instagram talked to her what I wanted to get done I sent her a picture of my hair and a picture how I want it to look like and made an appointment with her. When I went to the solan we went over again to make sure what we needed to get done. I asked her for a ash blonde with no cut and she did exactly what I said to her. I just wanted to start by saying how great Dana is! She became my regular stylist after a traumatizing experience with my old stylist. I was treated so poorly by my old stylist that I was unable to continue my service and had to leave with my hair unfinished. I was devastated by how I was treated. A friend of mine recommended Dana and although she had a very busy schedule that day, she was able to see me so we could have a hair consultation. We have been going to Sal for 10+ years. He always does an amazing job on my hair. I also take my daughter since she was little she has had her hair cut by everyone in the salon and all the ladies do an amazing job. I Went in and asked the receptionist how much it is for a trim and she told me $26. When my stylist called me back she had me down for a wash and style only. I had told her that I requested a trim as well and they told me that its $46. The receptionist misunderstood me I guess. So I continued with my haircut. Tara is my hair stylist specifically that I go to, but I have had services from Elyse and Esmeralda as well. If I could ever get squeezed in with Sal I would have had services from him too! I would trust anyone one of them to do my hair. I have gone to Elyse for a cut and hair styling services and I have never been disappointed, she is amazing with her ideas and visions. Although I've seen some amazing coloring and hair styles from Esmeralda I have only had blow out services with her but because she is so awesome in her technique I will only get a blow from her because she is the only one that achieves my Volume of desire (she is a blow out master) ! I was so very happy with my haircut and color today!! I called for a next day appointment and they had one. I have never been to this salon before. I typically go to one down in Newport Beach but because of how far away it is and scheduling, I usually go a very long time without a haircut. I could rave on and on about how much I enjoyed my experience here, but I'll post a photo to show you how my stylist JISSEL C. knew exactly what I wanted with 2 words..."beachy curls" for a summer wedding. First off, the receptionist was very polite and accommodating when I ran a little late, and I was offered coffee as I sat down. My stylist took a good 5 minutes to ask about what I wanted, how I wanted it, and what occasion it was for. Once she got an idea, she repeated back to me her interpretation and it was way better than what I had in mind in the first place. I just told her "you're the stylist, I trust your expertise. Amaze me :)" and she did just that! Not only was she very careful with my hair (my hair has been thinning and falling out in the last couple months), she made sure to gentle handle my hair during the blow drying and curling process. Gestures like that mean a lot to me because it means my stylist listened and understood my concerns and responded professionally to it. Best stylist I've ever had!
